I've dug through the BBB a few times looking for prices and availability on combat drugs and BTL's and haven't found anything aside from their basic game mechanics. Is there an errata suggesting prices some where or am I blind and just missed the table somewhere?
I know it all should vary on quality/purity for drugs and content/type of BTL, contacts, but are there any guidelines for this that you use?
According to the background my player wrote I've got two players that used to have nova coke addictions, another regularly smokes deep weed, and two used to have BTL addictions. I'd like to incorporate these things into the game for temptation purposes for my group. Somehow I imagine deepweed goes for a bit more than the average price of high grade pot. "This shit right here..."
How much would you charge for dime bag of deep weed? How much for an eightball (3.5 grams) of novacoke? etc.

Ive never been able to find prices in the BBB so they might not be there at all, but Arsenal does have them. Check p188/189.

You mean there's other things in Arsenal besides guns? hah.
I've never even bothered to look at those tables before. Thanks for the push in the right direction.

Thanks for telling me where to find it. When the information on the cost of drugs from the corebook wasn't included in Arsenals chapter on NEW drugs I thought they hadn't included it.
Damn did I ever undercharge my Orc Vodoon for his deepweed.

Don't mention it. They have everything in those tables that doesn't relate to augmentation or magic so if theres a piece of gear you need, its probably in there.
As to the other question about drug quality, Ive never seen rules for that but it strikes me as something that should be totally GMO. If someone gets poisoned by using tainted drugs, or O.D.s because they misjudged it's strength, or conversely gets some thats just too weak to do anything for them, it should be because it adds to the story somehow, not just because the GM rolled a glitch behind the almighty screen.

I would never make my players pay 400nY for a bag of deepweed from Jimmy the Street Corner Apothecary and have it turn out to be oregano with some devilrat poison on it. *cough*

The newest printing of BBB has them in it. But previous ones did not.
And there's no prices for BTL's or even BTL effects anywhere (I hope Unwired has these...)

Help me out, what's BBB?

BBB = Big Black Book
SR4 Core

EDIT: Wanted to tryout the acronym option... I was hoping for a dictionary, but its useful if someone wants to take the time to label all of their acronyms... And I think I'll start using it in my signature...

Somone needs to seriously sticky all our damnable acronyms.

I'm working on my signature, adding any acronyms that I see commonly used. Can mouse-over them to get definitions. So at least anyone who reads signatures might know what I'm talking about

Yeah, I mean I can probably guess at the effects, but if anyone needs a good idea of BTL tell them to watch Strange Days. That movie basically is about the tech, plus I love Ralph Fiennes character. He's essentially a face in SR terms that pushes BTL chips. Has a fantastic little monologue in there describing how it all works and I pretty much copied it down and tweaked it slightly for a scene I've got in my upcoming games.
I'm hoping Unwired has more details on prices n things. I imagine the mood chips are fairly cheap since so many people seem to be using them in the barrens. I'd wager a guess that personafix chips can run pretty high based on who they're copying and how accurate they were.
*edit*
Just saw the preview for Dollhouse, Joss Whedon's new show. I think it's a pretty good example of someone slapping in a personafix and some skill wires.
