Full Version: Trouble With Signatures

Switchblade
I was shortening my new signature (which brings up another point: why are signatures now limited to 200 characters?) and was able to get it to 198 characters. 198 is 2 less than 200 yet I was repeatedly told that I was over the character limit. This program was extremely rude to me and I demand that it be reprimanded. I felt humiliated that I had to further compromise my artistic integrity to more than suffice a quota. Also, I want a donut. Preferably chocolate. lick.gif

Actually, it's 200 bytes, not 200 characters, so expect to lose a bit in conversion.

However, this number has been increased by a random roll of dice.

The sig checker counts the characters in the [url=] fields; leading to the funny situation of not being able to edit my signature of the old DSF information.

Doh. You're right, that's funny. The character limit isn't meant to stop people from doing what you did in your current sig, but it will have that effect and I'm not keen on making the limit large enough to support it. I can erase your current sig for you if you like so you can put in an abbreviated one if you want.

I can manage erasing it. Thanks for nothing, Evil Basher.

[edit] And when I say nothing I don't mean nothing. I mean thanks for all the hard work. I just can't say it.
