Which makes me wonder... did your players actually take "Siege Weaponry" as a skill? Or are they taking the +4 to their undoubtedly high TN for defaulting to Intelligence? |
Actually, they DID take the target number modifier for defaulting, but I let them lower the target number by using their physics skill to calculate trajectories beforehand (they knew ahead of time what they were firing at). Generally, these runners are incompetent because they're all nerds. But when that comes down to a physics roll, the guy with the cerebral booster, encephalon, math SPU, and physics skill suddenly doesn't need to worry so much about having a body of 3 and firearms of 2.

What precautions have your runners taken against discovery? How many fake ID's do they have? What quality are they? Do they have safe houses? Do they have weapon/gear stashes? Do they have cash reserves? Do they have an exit strategy?

to my great chagrin, i realized that my runner had no false SIN when he recently got picked up by mall security for participating in a small firefight in the parking garage (he and his family were there on a shopping trip, random--or maybe not-so-random--gangers tried to waylay us). a good cover story ("i just moved here from the CAS, my citizenship is supposed to come in today") and some very fast, very expensive work on the part of my fixer got me out of it.
