Alright, a few simple ground rules I'd like to see everyone adhere to for the IC thread. Please try to avoid font color changes, as my eyes aren't exactly all they're cracked up to be, and I'm finding I have to copy/paste text for readabiliy. Also, please try to remember not to use signatures in the IC thread. Dice rolling can either be done in this thread, or in Spoiler tags in the IC thread.
Anything you need that you don't want to keep secret from the rest of the group, talk it here. If you want to keep secrets, well this is that odd game that encourages some. Just PM me in those cases.

Don't mind at all... just keep in mind while it may have some sweet amenities compared to prison, it's still on a sub, so very cramped...

He is a shamanic sorcerer following Sky Father

If you thought your movement was restricted on the freighter, the sub is far worse. There's actually someone posted at the entrance to the cabin. Aside from that, there is no sign of surveillence. The crew has more important matters to attend to, and likely they're under contract not to pry into the lives of their passengers.

Alrighty then. Looks like nobody's going to get the ball rolling. ::Gets out CC and SR3::
Brilliant.
Can I have these:
Browning Ultra-Power and 100 regular pistol rounds. 725
Ranger-X Bow (Min. Str. 7) with an accessory mount, a laser sight, 20 standard arrows, 20 barbed arrows. 2200
Camo Full Suit (Black) (5/3), FFBA (Full) (4/1), Helmet (1/2) (if you'll allow it) 3450
Medkit 200
Pocket Flashlight 20
3 sets of normal clothes 150
Multi-Tool 200
Peace of Mind: Priceless
Do you want me to roll for these, or go through IC stuff, or are we all getting this through Spider?

Nov 1 2004, 07:30 AM
I lost focus, been on course, and working on the last chapters of my first novel. Those would be excuses though, so I offer an appology.
Anyone still in, toss me a list such as Kayne's (which seems alright to me, no worries about rolls). I was going to run a series of contact workings and such, but it would be pointless drag on writing, so I'm looking to advance out of ship city, and on to the real task at hand.

What good are availabile here or can we pick and choose?

still around as well...waiting on the answer to Johnson's question before making up a wishlist.
Digital Heroin
Nov 3 2004, 12:47 AM
Regarding avaliability, provide a list, and I'll evaluate what would be possible to acquire. Keep in mind in a place like this, you might actually find some unlikely items. Street index need not apply.

Nov 4 2004, 04:49 AM
hmm...a wishlist...
Rudger Thunderbolt (with laser sight) (or Predator or Browning if that's too much)
pocket secretary (not essential...but while we're replacing belongings...)
Ares Monosword (if I can't have a weapon foci)
Weapon Foci (though I seriously doubt you'll let me have it but this is a wishlist)
5 clips for available weapon (2 ex explosive, 3 gel)
Highest available commlink (gotta stay in touch...)
Goggles (low light & thermographic) (it gets dark out there...)
Small rucksack (gotta carry stuff somehow)
Binoculars (for distance casting)
Armor Jacket
hmm...all I can think of at the moment

For Randy,
Form Fitting BA III with Thermal dampening lvl 4.
Secure Longocat with Non condcutive level 4
Some good boots and clothes.
A cougar short blade, dikoted if possible.
A few thousand in local currency.
Some low light Sunglasses. And whatever comlink system the group gets as a whole.

Nov 5 2004, 06:54 AM
Regarding the foci, and in general high ticket items, you are rather on a budget here. Money was provided to cover costs, and Spider is providing contacts, but he is just the middle man, so he won't be providing gear directly, or for free.
Other opporotunities for gear acquisition will come up along the way, but for the moment you're still a little cash strapped. As far as list approvals go, I'll be reviewing what I have tommorrow night, and my lead in to the real meat and potatoes post will follow.
Johnson
Nov 5 2004, 08:44 AM
Well I have some simple things to ask for.
Secure Long Coat 650
Hand Held Cell 50
3 Sets Ordinary Clothes 150

Browning Max power- Smartgunned 900
Conc Quick draw holster 150
2 Clips (10) Hollow Points 110
3 Clips (10) Regular 75
2 Clips (10) Gel 70
1 Small Rucksack 100
Total 2285

Nov 15 2004, 06:24 AM
I have the distinct feeling I've failed you guys with this game. I got too focused on having a sweeping plot, when all that does is draw things out, and make it too easy to lose focus on the run itself. Hell, just the setup took too long, and I'm to blame for it.
Liberation seems to have been too ambitious, and not thought out enough for that ambition. I still want to GM, but I'm not sure this game is going to work out.
Thoughts?
Johnson
Nov 15 2004, 06:33 AM
Well I have enjoyed all but I have found that some of the other posters have had some RL experiences.
I was enjoying the plot of this whole run, not sure about the others..
Digital Heroin
Nov 15 2004, 07:02 AM
I've had my own wrinkles with RL, but nothing which should have constrained me as it did. I was admittedly distracted by working on my novel. Thankfully, after two years the rough manuscript is complete, and as soon as it's typed, I'm setting it aside for a little while, so it's fresh for when I edit.
If Liberation is doomed to die, I have plans to start a more traditional game. Nothing as constrained as Liberation was for starting, and perhaps with a more established group.
Johnson
Nov 15 2004, 07:35 AM
Hey DH what ever you want to do, I just hope you let me know when you start the traditional game. Or if you want to carry on here.
Digital Heroin
Nov 15 2004, 07:52 AM
I'll let you know, and people who've played in any of my games and can still tolerate my crappy ass GMing are going to get precidence when it comes to selection of character -if- there's a new game. Hell, I'm all for keeping a lifeline on Liberation and running a new game, if that's what people want.
Johnson

Nov 16 2004, 12:11 AM
Spent the day soul searching, er... well, dodging paying attention to my classes on the duties of a Brow Watchkeeper... and decided a new try is probably for the best. I have a concept in mind, a semi-established team that's done at least two runs together (members may have deeper ties to one another), and has gelled fairly well, offered a fairly free hand in accepting or denying offers, as there will be no less than six runs avaliable in the early stages (it will get more focused as time passes). The runs won't be overly complex at first, but there's going to be consequences for every action, and even success may bring trouble... basically it's an extended campaign made of smaller scale runs.
Liberation involved an extraction, border smuggling through several countries, dealing with cultures completely to the runners... it was too grand for board play, or likely for me to run at all...
Whizbang
Nov 16 2004, 12:20 AM
Wasn't sure my char was right for Liberation anyways...he still had the police mindset to get over. He probably would have been better suited for providing security for a datasteal or mabey a theft. An escort mission would have been best. But not an outright kidnapping.
