Hey, we have 2 players and a GM that is looking for more at add to our group. We play in Blue Springs or Kansas City, MO. I got a SR4 book at Gencon and we are starting to move over to that. If you are interested PM me.

Not necessarily looking for a new group, but my normal group hasn't meet in quite a while, so I'm getting itchy. SR4 has caught my interest in the game again. Mostly interested in groups of older (30+) players with regular jobs and families like myself. Not able to meet more than once a month. Let me know if anyone out there is in a similar boat.

I'm that same boat. I picked up SR4 and am getting the itch again. *sigh* That once a month thing sounds like it could work. Anyone else in KC? This thread is pretty old.

I might be able to join in on the fun and so may my brother.
Reliquary
Shadowrun player down here in Olathe. Looking for a game to join!
TheFr0g
I know I'm resurrecting a long dead thread, but I've been playing shadowrun off and on for 15 years with pretty much the same group. I'm looking to expand my experience and find some strangers in my area to play with. I've only GMed and never actually played, so I'd like to give being a player a shot. If an Kansas City folks still come to this board and are looking for another guy or two (I have a buddy who might like to migrate as well), drop me a line.
TheFr0g
I'm gonna bump this thread again because I'm lonely, and reading about people playing shadowrun only makes me want to play more.
LurkerOutThere
Could drive three hours to Omaha every couple sundays? We're currently playing "whatever" while we wait for more missions but we could make you aware when we're running Shadowrun. I realize this isn't a viable option for many but I thought i'd toss it out there.
TheFr0g
It's actually kinda tempting, but with 6 hours of drive time that wouldn't leave me much for actual play. Thanks for the offer though.
TheFr0g
Might as well bump this again since it's been 9 months. Luckily I'm a patient man.
MicrowaveSafe
I'm in the Kansas City area and would be interested in GMing or playing. I also have a friend that would be interested in playing.
Redjack
There are actually a number of us near the Kansas City area and after ShaunCon, I think one or two more!
TheFr0g
Holy crap, not just one response, but two! I've been a GM since 2nd Ed and would gladly do it again, but I have been wanting to try being a player for a change smile.gif. I also have a buddy or 2 that would probably be willing to join me.
Mister Shed
Make that three responses - I'm down on the south side of the metro, brand new player (started at ShaunCon) looking for a group to play with.
FoolErrant
I've been a lurker for a while now, and have loved the setting for 4-5 years now, but haven't had a group in almost as long. I'm from the south side of the metro, and also looking for a group.
TheFr0g
Well from nobody to apparently the biggest concentration of SR players in the US. How do we make a game out of this?
MicrowaveSafe
That is always the hard part. I am willing to run or play as I stated. With my wife's work schedule I can't really commit to a weekend game, weeknights only for me probably. I also live in Kearney, so my house is usually out to game at. I work in Shawnee and am willing to travel though.
TheFr0g
I can probably make my schedule work any day but Mondays. I also have a D&D game I play in every other Tuesday, but if we wanted to do a bi-weekly game the off-tuesday would be ideal. How often should one run a regular shadowrun game? My games in the past have always been randomly when everyone is available.
Mister Shed
As of right now my availability weekdays varies from week to week, so my first preference would be for a weekend game.

I might be able to make a Tuesday evening game, depending on when it starts and how long it's expected to run.
Tech_Rat
Huh. Work has me coming into shawnee tomorrow... Anyone up for a late turkey day or black friday pick up game? smile.gif
FoolErrant
I'd possibly be willing for a weekend game, if it happened at the right time.
Tech_Rat
Sorry. Work's already pulled me away, and am headed to bug city next.

I don't know if there is a how often to game. Basically whatever works for everyone. I am pretty open during the week besides Wednesday. Bi-weekly might not be a bad idea, it will give the GM extra time to prepare for the next week, which I'm sure I would appreciate if that's me.
Tymire
Add another player if we can find a good time during the week. biggrin.gif
TheFr0g
So we can go round and round forever. I guess we need to pick a date and time, and see who all would be in. I don't mind hosting it, though I'm not sure if I could host every game. I'm leaning toward a thursday at the moment, either the 15th or the 22nd. I know it's short notice but if not those dates then we may as well wait until January, cuz the holidays really mess everything up.

I also nominate MicrowaveSafe to GM because he offered smile.gif

Any thoughts?
Mister Shed
As of right now I should be able to make either of those dates, but the 15th would be my preference.

TheFr0g: What time of day are you planning on, and about how long are you planning on having the run last?

I have to be at work at 4 am on Fridays so I'd rather not play much past 8 or so on Thursday nights. sleepy.gif

Ending before 8 doesn't make for much time to game. I work a pretty standard 8-5. So I wouldn't even be able to start til 6 or so. Would another day work better?

Right now I'm working early mornings Tuesday through Friday, so weekends are really the best time for me to play. Once the Christmas season is over I'll be working less/starting later so the time won't be as much of an issue.

As it is, it's only one day of minimal sleep so I'll just suck it up and be tired at work the next day. smile.gif
TheFr0g
Well judging from the lack of further response, I guess this is dead in the water. It's probably wise to wait til after the holidays anyway.
MicrowaveSafe
Sorry for my delay, kept forgetting to get back on and check. I think after the holidays might work best for me as well, between work and running the last bit of a D&D game. Does anyone have a preference as to what metroplex the game is run in?

I also work a standard 9-5 so I wouldn't be able to start till about 6 as well. Looking at January 5th?
