So then what it your action/route?
Thanee
Go to bed and sleep some before we head off? Makes no sense to even look at that route, then. wink.gif

I really thought it was land-based, like the others, so anything said about testing the route doesn't really make any sense, I guess. embarrassed.gif

Lucky for you, Zion has a doss right nearby.
BishopMcQ
Note: I have not actually looked at the route in question, but a trip across the Sound may be possible via ferry. Think of the trouble we could get in... smile.gif

@ All

Hey everyone! Looks like I'll be joining team #2 on their run. The other game that RedJack and I were playing in seems to be pretty much dead, so RJ invited me to join this one, and I am excited to get going.
Thanee
Sweet. Welcome aboard then. smile.gif

Saytr
sounds great nice to have you aboard unarmed.
Cedric Rolfsson
binding...binding...binding...

Nice to have you onboard Unarmed.
Saytr
hey trust me i would rather have the protection from a spirit then have none, its all good dude, we will use him im sure along the border of the Tir.
kvasac
So..team 1..posts?
BishopMcQ
I've been waiting for RJ and the team to catch up to me in time. RJ got me bumped, now I just need the rest of you to catch up.
Redjack
@Aeryn
What time is that alarm set for?
Thanee
Can't tell you the exact time... basically early enough to have time to get ready, fetch the car, get the others and arrive at the first waypoint in time, with like half an hour reserve.

Bye
Thanee
Saytr
i was going to say 0410 would that give us enough time to get from pullyallups to redmond for the pickup with everyone? is that feasible in game time?
Unarmed
Makes sense to me. 50 minutes should be enough, but we could go for 0350 too, if we wanted to leave a bunch of breathing room.
Cedric Rolfsson
Do you have an estimated time I'll be done with this binding ritual?
Unarmed
Oh woot, I'm now a moving target.

Didn't you just finish up?
Thanee

P.S. I kinda totally missed this part here, BTW. spin.gif

The summoning and binding complete, you sit in the circle as the spirit returns to its home on the meta-planes to await your call.

You are done my good man.. <G>

Well, if I was some random guy out to kill you, I'd probably have done it by now. wink.gif

Yep. wink.gif

yeah when Thanee posted and went inside and didnt stay out with me then i just improvised and mad Zion take a more defensive posture until he knew you were really the guy sent as a replacement. its all good though since your not going to kill us in our sleep i think we will be ok lol.
Cedric Rolfsson
YEA!!! Whew, that took longer than anticipated. Will post.
Unarmed
Hey, I just realised that none of us altered our posts to account for the fact that it is actually now Sunday the 2nd... that's my bad though, I started it.
Redjack
Team #2 is now together and ready to move on to the next phase of the run!!
Bring on the body bags.. Errr... I mean "Go team!"

Good point. I also just copied from my last post, as usual. smile.gif

Dude, kvasac, Jake cracks me up. smile.gif
kvasac
Heh. As I mentioned somewhere, Jake is comic relief character, among other things..
I usually play too serious characters so I wanted something else for a change.
Cedric Rolfsson
If I cast this spell here then I'll need at least an hour's rest in the care to deal with Drain so I'm ready.

I'd drop the power on the spell to 3 which means the Drain value would be 4 stun to deal with.

Or I could cast a stunball and leave the street littered with broken and unconscious bodies, which, sadly enough would result in a lower drain value.
Cedric Rolfsson
Could I get all of the gangers in one stunball spell? Force 5?
Saytr
its either that or we have a shoot out then possibly miss out meet and get lonestars attention, or worse knight errant or firewatch if it gets heated enough attention regarless we dont want.
Unarmed
Well, we're in the Puyallups, and we're fighting gangers, so I don't think the star's response time will not be very good if they show up at all. Plus, Collateral always wants to fight gangers. Always. wink.gif

Also, RJ, how frequently are you planning on having edge pools refresh? I don't need to know exactly, just a rough guideline since it's an important part of my character concept.
Redjack
My standard is once per mission. Gives players edge to pull them out of the fire without making it SOP. I realize that may be once a year in a forum game, but lets see how it goes.
Thanee
I think when I GM Shadowrun, I will have the Edge pool refresh fully at the end of a mission and in addition at a rate of one Edge point per day during a mission (not during downtime).

Cedric Rolfsson
RJ, Force 5 stunball, centered on the middle ganger, but no less than 5 meters from the nearest person in our group.

Sorcery + Magic = 10 dice = 6 successes

You can link to this roll at
http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1027757

Drain Value 3

Resist Drain Logic + Willpower = 9 dice = 2 successes

You can link to this roll at
http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1027769

1 box stun damage.

I think that's everything.
Redjack
Wow!! 60% successes. Too bad the # of successes are limited by the force, so you drop to 5.
SR4 PHB pg171

Still 5+5= base damage of 10 stun... Not good for the home team...

Editorial note:
Noticing magic is a perception test, thresh hold = 6 - (spell force) [+2dp if awakened; +2dp if perceiving; +2dp if shamanic mask involved. ]
SR4 PHB pg168
Thanee
@Cedric: You should only put 'Cynic' into the 'Character Name' field and the description of the roll (i.e. 'Spellcasting test') into the 'Note' field below. wink.gif

Bye
Thanee
Cedric Rolfsson
Ya, I'm still figuring that thing out. It's not the online roller I'm used to. I'll get it, eventually.
Cedric Rolfsson
Initiative Score:

My initiative attribute is 6, what do I roll?
Thanee
When you always use the (exact) same Character Name (i.e. Cynic), then you can use the Find Rolls feature with that name, to see all the rolls you made, which is quite useful sometimes.

The Note field simply attaches the given note (if any) to the roll (in the Note column, obviously), so you can describe what the roll is meant for.

Initiative Score:

Initiative Score = Initiative Attribute + Hits from an Initiative Test.

You roll 6 dice (with Initiative Attribute = 6) and add the Hits to 6 to determine your total.

So you will end up with an Initiative Score of 8 on average.

Bye
Thanee
Thanee
Aeryn's Initiative: 9 + 5 = 14 (2 IP)

Bye
Thanee
Cedric Rolfsson
Cynic's initiative roll:

6 + 6d6 = 3 successes = Score of 9

You can link to this roll at
http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1027927

Crap, forgot my 1 box of drain so that should be a 8 I think.
Thanee
Yep, if you forget to apply a penalty, just remove the appropriate dice rolls from the bottom. But unless you have more damage than the 1 box, you really shouldn't have any penalties (first -1 is at 3 boxes).

Bye
Thanee
Redjack
1 box of drain does not yield a penalty.
Takes 3 boxes of drain to cause a -1dp penalty.

( I need your luck on invisible castle. 50% successes on that roll too!!)
Cedric Rolfsson
I usually use a different dice roller which leaves me with less successes, but you watch, I'm going to have dice karma jump up and bite my ass before this run is finished.

I find that invisible castle gives me great rolls when it doesn't matter and worse ones when it does... I wonder how it knows?

@Team #1:
Aeryn is on a 14; Satyr & Collateral both on 11 and Cynic on a 9.

Scene is exactly as described in the IC thread. The gangers were surprised and the team has beat them on initiative.
