Is it just me or has anyone else noticed a sudden run on Shadowrun books lately.
Ever since the SR4 FAQ started showing up, nearly all my local Half Price Books have suddenly had a shortage of Shadowrun books. A clerk even commented to me that he had noticed the increase purchases of SR books.
Makes me wonder about the future of SR4, if players are running out to grab all the SR3 and previous edition books before they're gone for good. Possible bad sign for SR4?

All I know is this weekend I found a store that had several 1st edition books (including hardcover BBB). It took alot of willpower not to buy them all to run a 1st edition campaign. I'd be lying if I said it didn't have at least a little to do with the SR4 "streamlining".

Yeah, I noticed that. In-store stock seems to have dropped at my comic/gaming store.

I found a beautiful copy of Virtual Realities. Laminated cover and everything, you could smell the minty freshness and stroking the cover was damn near pornagraphic. But the guy wanted $12 for it! Now, I already have a copy...bought used, and now held together with tape after some cosmetic surgery. But $12...I couldn't pay it. It would be wrong. $8 I'd have gone for. But $12? Vol forfend!

It could be people have heard about the new edition and are looking to catch up on the system/storyline. I know I did it when I heard about the new Mage.
