With the announcement, much to my dismay, of an XBox 360 adaptation of Shadowrun as an FPS, I got to dreaming of the "good old days" and the SNES and Genesis games... while randomly wikipedia surfing, I typed Shadowrun on a larf, and say mention of -gasp- a third game, this one for the Sega-CD, a Japanese only release system. The question comes to you know: has anyone played this game? Is it decent?

I've been looking for an excuse to learn Japanese anyway, and eBay is my friend, but if the game is drek, then there's no point bothering.
FrostyNSO
I'm pretty sure it's the same as the Genesis version.
Tziluthi
Er. I thought it was different. Look around the web for it, I'm sure there is someone out there who has played and reviewed it.
Ancient History
It is different. Very differnt.
Digital Heroin
Very different as in "Wow, that was different!" or "Ew, that was just different..."?
TimeKeeper
As in WOW that is way different.

The story is different and the interface is different.
(You actually see the dice rolls for combat)

Also the graphics are a bit different. Anime-style.
Ancient History
I can't read Japanese, but the soundtrack is okay too.
