Hey, that's me!

Martin de Vries: By 2073 I imagine there must be some sort of "Da Vinci Code"-ish action/thriller sim about the Ordo Maximus, or at least it's roots in hermetic societies like the OTO. I'd get him that. And imagine him throwing popcorn at the screen in disdain.

Nope, he was the only one who got identifiable text in the timestamp. A few others were able to fudge them (translated to **/**/** **:**:**), but he was the only one who could actually edit them for the longest time. I think two other Shadowtalkers total ended up doing it before timestamps went bye-bye in 3rd ed.

The "Ha! Fraggin' Ha!" was 3rd, as were the ones for Bull, Chrome Accountant, and several others who had signatures.

I see what you did there, but that is SO 3rd Edition.

At least, I don't remember that must be raw requirement in RC, and Hanibelle recommends a cannibal restaurant in the Neo-Tokyo bit of Runner Havens where she often goes when in town.

VHS.

Beta tape, if you want to be a real douche. But there are all of like 12 of those still functioning in the world today, and then you run into the issue of: "if it can't be played, it won't be watched." DVDs would still be "new" enough that a player could be located that would still use hookups that could be converted to any modern viewing device. VHS and Beta? Unlikely.

My father has to have more than 12 working beta tapes all by his lonesome, but point taken.

Eragon is a terrible piece of literature, but doesn't have quite the same impact as watching Draco give away his heart.
