Sorry I haven't been around this week. I've been ridiculously busy, plus I took the time to turn 27 (and I'm still hung over from that....) so yea... I'll write something up tomorrow.

What timestamp should I use for 1 hour before Dubai landing? Wait until all questions are asked before posting... give people another day or two, but I think that is all anyone wants to do. Approximately 1 hour before landing: 16:00:00 Wednesday, 11 October 2062 (UAE and Iraq/IST/Delta) 04:00:00 Wednesday, 11 October 2062 (CFS/PST/Uniform) I eliminated the UTC +330 and moved it to Delta (UTC +4) |

@Kliko: Just keep that thing away from Bubba!
On another note, this tells me we are going to deal with some serious shizzle since the GM provided this kind of armor buff. So If I add this up right Bubba will be sitting at the following armor level: 5/2 Form Fit 5/3 Camo Jacket 1/2 Helmet 2/1 Natural Body Armor edge 13/8 - WIth body of 12. Bastard either has some serious fire power witing for us (Tank) or lots of mojo slingers! |

And here I was going to have Ludi wear only her FFA under civilian clothes.... I guess that's out of the question...

What's the max armor you can wear in SR3 without starting to buckle under the weight? I know it's BODY X 3 in SR4.....

Bubba, you're actually at (5 + 5/2 + 2 + 2) = 11 Ballistic and 6 Impact due to the way layering works. You will need a Quickness or 7 or 12 to avoid taking penalties to Quickness depending on how Bastard views my question at the bottom.
In SR3 it's all based on Quickness. SR3 pg 285: Every two points that either Ballistic or Impact exceed Quickness, reduce combat pool by 1 die. (This is total numbers, so add the full values of layered armor, not the benefit you get.) When layering armor, each point that Ballistic exceeds your quickness, take a +1 TN penalty to all Quickness related tests. In addition, reduce the characters quickness by the TN penalty when you calculate the movement rate. When a Helmet or Shield is used, the armor bonus it provides is added to other armor. This does not count as layering (full bonus applies) but does count towards determining the Quickness penalty. Canon Companion pg 51 Form-fitting armor can be worn with other armor but does not affect a character when calculating penalties for Combat Pool loss. Bastard does this apply to the Quickness penalty as well? |

Duster is going to wear the FFA under the desert camo, with the TLBV between the two. He will have a helmet, but won't wear one when he's out scouting. He's going to take the lightest 'local' clothing, that can be rolled up, and secure two tops and two bottoms, of different colors, in 4 of the larger pouches, the other pockets will carry a basic first aid kit with anti-toxins (if there are any available), survival kit (map and compass, fishing line and hooks, water purification tabs, matches, 2 days rations, etc...), 10 mags of ammo (plus one in the gun, of course) (44 shots total), and a small amount of basic currency...Duster's basic paranoia survival kit

@Bastard
Concerning the Linguasoft Ludi wanted, she's going to use just regular legal channels. I take it R3 linguasofts are something you can legally pay for and just download off the matrix, right? Since she doesn't have any spare chips on her, or anything to burn chips, she's going to store the software in her headware (I think she had something like 100mp or so) Also, is the Harness (TLBV) with built in SmartRepel a once piece item "attached" to the vest or just a harness? Because since Ludi has her own combat vest (with ruthenium coating) she'd probably just grab the harness and leave the rest. |

Who's carrying the Sat Phones ? (we got 2)
And who's carrying the case? And how's taking which Linguasofts? Ludi will call dibs on the German one because at least she can pass for German (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) |

Kliko will carry one. Ludi, the other.
Kliko also brought five field rations and ten ration bars for each, which obviously need to be distributed amongst the team. You don't run far on an empty stomach. Good to see there are two medkits available. At 3kg's a piece they suck cock ass in shadowrun. |

What's the max armor you can wear in SR3 without starting to buckle under the weight? I know it's BODY X 3 in SR4..... Its quickness, but the FFBA doesn't count or something. I'll look it up. Don't forget the total weight of your load and how fast you guys plan to move. Canon Companion pg 51 Form-fitting armor can be worn with other armor but does not affect a character when calculating penalties for Combat Pool loss. Bastard does this apply to the Quickness penalty as well? Exactly. And I hadn't realized it didn't mention Quickness with the Combat Pool for FFA, but it I will lump it in with the CP. However, this form-fit has the thin Kevlar layer so include it at a +1 to your calculated armor (instead of the full value). @BastardConcerning the Linguasoft Ludi wanted, she's going to use just regular legal channels. I take it R3 linguasofts are something you can legally pay for and just download off the matrix, right? Since she doesn't have any spare chips on her, or anything to burn chips, she's going to store the software in her headware (I think she had something like 100mp or so) This is possible. Isn't Level 4 the legal limit? I didn't look it up... just my little brain working. Also, is the Harness (TLBV) with built in SmartRepel a once piece item "attached" to the vest or just a harness? Because since Ludi has her own combat vest (with ruthenium coating) she'd probably just grab the harness and leave the rest. It is all one piece, though the ammo vest can be detached. You cannot wear both, but you can wear the harness to repel, and be retrieved, and store it in your pack the rest of the time. It's weight is slightly more than the regular repel harness. Did you guys realize, shooting guns etc. are all quickness related tests? Its the reason I maxed Kliko at quickness 6, so he can actually wear Full camo (5/3) + Helmet (1/2) + Fore arm guards(0/1) for 6/6 total without penalties. Besides, the trick is not to get shot... I realized that. That is the catch of getting all this fancy gear and having to hike a distance to the target. So, 3x Rating 3 Linguasofts (Azerbaijani, Turkmen and Uzbek), Legally downloaded, at 27MP each and costing 1350 each makes it 4050 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nuyen.gif) and 81 MP used up on her headware memory (leaving 19MP of free space....)
Loadout [ Spoiler ]

Miss Johnson's Armory has been updated. Fixed helmet stats, and added sound suppressors, food and water.
Any one due for a next post? I am ready for you all to bump up, but dont land until I got everyone's loadouts. LUDI- complete KLIKO - complete BUBBA - pending FELIX - pending DUSTER - pending V - redshirted Starling - redshirted Yes and no. I could write up Ludi getting the Linguasofts but it isn't going to make for an interesting read (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) If you want to include it, I am sure we will find it entertaining, as always.
