All gear at this point should be purchased IC.

Let me know what you want to buy and who from - and I can post the results.

I was planning on contacting my fence at the AM meeting to see if she can locate an armor vest for me. You want me to see if she can get two?

Works for me, thanks!

Got a couple of errands to run, I will have my IC post for the morning up soon.

I'm shooting for two armor vests (no mods) from Honeypot. I'll post a text message in IC once we all get settled down at the shop.

I don't know if I want to purchase anything for Grease, but I may! I will get back to you, possibly IC. He may want some less fancy clothes & armor if he's going to be spending any appreciable amount of time in the Warrens.

I was thinking my suit was a little conspicuous, so I wanted to pick up a vest that could be worn under pretty much anything. Y'all just let me know after I post IC if y'all want me to try for anything.

So, for the Armor Vest(s)

Honeypot's roll

10d6.hits (5)=4
10d6.hits (5)=3

vs Availability

4d6.hits(5)=1, 4d6.hits(5)=2

So she will be able to get one vest in about 8 hours, and a second tomorrow morning.

Oh, also, I wanted to roll a quick knowledge check to see if Jack is familiar with any corporations that might be impacted by this UCAS-Sioux disagreement.

I'm pretty sure it would really help out for Amy to have contacts with an image link. Cost is 225 in the book and the contacts have a basic avail of 6, which I find a bit surprising, but I'm ready to roll with it. So can this be purchased legally without a SIN? Otherwise, she'll need some help to find those.

Just remember that there is a x1.3 multiplier for visual enhancements. So they're going to be closer to 300 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nuyen.gif) when it is all said and done.

@Lobo: Can you roll for the Availability 6 AR Contacts?

With 1 hit you know that the tariffs cover a wide range of products, electronics, pharmaceuticals, and food. The tariffs would affect a fairly large number of companies.

Lobo:

Rolling Denver Knowledge 2 + Intuition 3 for info on the Casino: 5d6.hits(5)=0 Awesome. Critical glitch.

Can I try to purchase the armor vest on my own, using the rules in the book on page 418?

OK, depending on the answer to the above question and whether Amy is going to want one too, my list is:

(2-4)x Armor Vest
1x AR Contacts

Rolls have been made for two of the vests and the contacts. I'll wait until Chrome Head has a chance to post IC whether Amy wants a vest or not.

ETA: LOL, and now th Casino has just become the front for an insect-spirit controlled arm of the Mafia or something.

Lol - while that would make for, shall we say an interesting meeting with Argent - "Why does he have those weird eyes, anyway?" You only got 2 ones, and you rolled 5 dice - so not a glitch, just a failure. So all your character knows is that it is a casino in the Hub. Possibly due to your amnesia (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

ETA - each vest is 575 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nuyen.gif) , the contacts are 295 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nuyen.gif)

Hey, Grease rolled the check, not me! (He's having quite the run on knowledge checks) But I will say I have been waiting for someone to ask a question like that IC, so I could respond appropriately. For all he knows, Jack may have been a big-time whale at the casino before his accident, LOL.

For ease of bookkeeping, I'm just going to deduct the costs directly from everyone's cash accounts if they want to buy something from Honeypot. I'm also going to assume that Grease is not paying all of Argent's fee, so I am going to deduct another 50 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nuyen.gif) from everyone's accounts for that as well. If Jack were his old self, he'd probably suggest that Amy and Overkill pick up Argent's tab since they wouldn't incur the travel costs to the Hub, but he's not so much of a corporate penny-pincher anymore. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) (Edited per DrZs OOC post)

Is the cost of soykaf subsumed by lifestyle costs?

Thanks and sorry about all of the questions/comments!

@Jack,

I am completely comfortable with you being the "banker", so to speak, as long as everyone else is ok with it.

Sorry I somehow read that you rolled it, not Grease - he and I apparently got hit with the same bus that ran through the Broncos last night.

I don't want to nickel and dime you all the time - yes the soykaf is covered by lifestyle - as is basic food (unless you eat outside your means. Low lifestyles mean if you pick up stuffers at the local stuffer shack, it's free. Eating a 100 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nuyen.gif) steak isn't.) Now, if you had a High Lifestyle, I'd say that type of meal was included.

Alcohol is not covered.

ETA - Grease would have forwarded the money on his own, so you'll have to RP giving him the cash.

If Grease wants to pay Argent's full fee and doesn't ask for reimbursement, Jack has no problem with that. He probably figures it's less nuyen he can send up his nose during the job.

Also rolling to see what I know about the Casino. Rising Sun Casino Info: Denver Area Knowledge (2) + Intuition (3) (5d6.hits(5)=4) (Uh, wow).

I'm more than fine having 1 player be "banker"; if only because the dropbox keeps having conflicting file issues with a bunch of us trying to edit it at the same time.

If Grease can get the vest on his own without a fixer, here is his roll (he will wait until 10 AM when he is no longer a ghoul and is willing to speak to other humans again; I don't think that's too gamist but let me know if you think it is).

Negotiations 5 + Charisma 6 = 11 dice, vs Social Limit of 7. 11d6.hits(5)=5 hits.

Quick edit: So, according to my "you know a guy" positive quality, does that include this type of thing? It reads, "The character receives +2 Street Cred for any Negotiation with people from her Home Ground." i.e. does Grease knows the people where things fall off the back of trucks?
