I edited my post and added a suggestion from Jack to continue the conversation (if necessary) in the car.

Do you want me to put up a post with you arriving at the chip house - or do you still have more to discuss?

Either way is fine with me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I hope we're not arriving anywhere close to the chip-house... the drone can fly, right? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

I think the main question at this point is whether to contact Ramirez (which will probably inform our ammunition choice) and finalize a plan of attack, but I think that can happen after we visit with Chapel and perform recon at the Arsenal.

Maybe Grease wants to add something, if so just post a quick transition to inside one of your cars and then continue the conversation there.

@Lobo: On the video of Stinger going to the chiphouse, what time of day does he arrive, and do we know how long he stays?

I wasn't sure what your plan was since you said you would be "dropping the Fly Spy off at the chip house" technically you don't have to go anywhere near the chip house, Grease can pilot the drone from here or in his car on the way to the meeting with Chapel if he wants to (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I'll wait to post anything till someone asks (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

The video had him arriving at 10:00 PM. He didn't transfer the entire file, so it only showed a couple of minutes of footage.

Sorry, "dropping off" wasn't meant literally. If Grease wanted to pilot it himself, I just figured he would want to get close to lower noise penalties. I'm good for waiting for DrZ to post.

Also, I just read a post on the SRT Boards and I guess Storm Front brought Atzlan back to Denver. They apparently took control of part of the Pueblo Sector.

That's pretty good proximity to the time of Truck's ritual, if we get lucky, maybe we will get a shot at both.

Ok - just decide:

1) how are you getting the drone there (i.e. flying it from here, or whatever)
2) Are all 3 of you going to the meet with Chapel (Overkill will be staying back at the house)
3) IC Grease has to ask Overkill to fix the AK from Rhex

Then let me know what if anything I have to post, or you guys can take care of it - I think the first time I will actually have to post will be to describe the chiphouse when the drone gets there or posting what Chapel has to say.

I don't actually own Stormfront, but I read a little part of it after you mentioned this, and LOTS of stuff has changed. I'm going to leave it alone for now, once the mission is over (and assuming all of you are interested in playing another one) I can have an update to our Dropbox folder with the changes.

Yeah, there was supposedly a whole Civil War type deal in Denver. I feel like we might have to retcon a bunch of stuff (background and flavor mostly) if we were to adopt the changes, but it would be interesting to look them over. Maybe adopt piecemeal.

About 3): I think Overkill was planning on addressing the AK issue regardless, since he bought all of those accessories for an assault rifle and it is the only one available.

Well, I tasked him with it anyways! I'm not sure if we ever actually discussed borrowing it IC. I don't really care, outside of the posterity of going back to read the adventure afterwards..

Just so we're clear, when Grease asks Amy to send a spirit to "check it out", you mean the chiphead house, not the site with the crosses, correct?

How is the spirit going to find the house? Can't really read street signs in the astral. Might want to wait to send the drone so that the spirit can at least follow it to the target.

The spirit can conceal himself somewhere where it's almost impossible to tell that he's there, and manifest to see the physical and find its way. A spirit is in no way limited like a projecting mage is.

ETA: Plus you can still do the basic: count the number of cross streets, it'll be 5 right turning streets down, on the NE corner. That kind of thing.

I don't remember if we ever came to a conclusion on this. The book specifically states that Astral Perception is the only sense a spirit has, even when materialized (which, don't get me wrong, is stupid as Hell considering half of the powers listed for a Spirit of Beast are based on physical perception).

I don't understand what you mean. The Materialization power allows the spirits to interact with the physical world. Interacting definitely includes perception.

QUOTE (BBB p.301 @ Spirit Basics)
When materialized, the spirit uses astral perception (its only perception) to perceive the physical world.

Emphasis added. Mind you, it makes no sense in the context of Spirits of Beasts and, to a lesser extent, Spirits of Man or to the fact that every single spirit has Perception as a listed skill. Then again, I've always felt that Assensing should strictly be used for reading auras, signatures, and performing astral tracking and Perception should be used for other purposes with Astral Perception, like spotting people trying to hide, or whatever.

Jack is referring to page 301:

"When materialized, the spirit uses astral
perception (its only perception) to perceive the physical
world."

Which is not vague at all - pretty clear cut. EXCEPT that on page 303, Spirits of Beasts can get Lowlight vision as a power, which doesn't make sense if they only way they see is with Astral Perception.

Let me think on it a bit - although I am leaning towards saying that they have normal vision when the are materialized, and simply act like a dual natured creature.

Beasts have three enhanced sensory powers (it's my spirit specialization in the Africa game, so I have poured over this for a while, LOL). Man has two. They all have Perception as a skill, which would be super dumb if they can't use it. I don't know what they were thinking to be honest. I guess Beasts and Man could have special powers that grant them normal perception with enhanced ability, but then the Perception skill makes little sense for the four elemental spirits.

The Spirits were not put together all that well. Spirits of Beast also get Noxious Breath as an Optional Power, but don't have the Exotic Weapon Proficiency to go along with it (it's also not a very good power, the Toxin should probably be set to Fx2, IMO).
