Can we just buy hits for sneaking as well? I have 17 dice in urban environments, so 4 hits.

Also, Nova will use a dose of Jazz right before we start.

@Volker
Did bnc receive a Physical Mask or is she just leaving the van normally?
In the first case, a guard would stop her and ask what she thought she was doing
In the latter, he would raise the alarm.

Yeah, I am not quite sure what bnc is doing there... the drivers are supposed to stay in the van during the loading process. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Either way, we are gonna raise an alarm now, anyways. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Uhm... If bnc is really opening the door to casually stroll outside, Wraith would definitely stop her as soon as she reaches for the door handle. Stepping outside is an instant giveaway, he doesn't want that and would at least try to prevent it.
I do believe, though, that this must be some kind of misunderstanding, so I'd like to wait for Volker to clarify his action before I post IC. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

@Jack: May I assume that an action inside the driver's cabin (like Wraith slapping bnc across the face and pulling her away from the door) does not contribute to the single action the team on the back has?

Very sorry. Of course, she'd open the car from inside. This was a big brainfart. My my....

You do not have to do anything for the workers to do their job, really. They opened the back door to the van already (which implies that it was unlocked, or we unlocked it once the van got parked there) and are unloading.

Yeah, I thought the driver opens and closes the door for the them. When I posted the opening everything was just normal, and when it came to closing it, I somehow was back in the 1970s where you were forced to manually touch the fragging door. Eternal shame.
bnc just sits still, unmoving, and shuts her mouth.

They are only half-way through the process (unloading done, now fetching stuff to be loaded), anyways, so closing the doors would be quite unexpected. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

@SquirrelDude: I think you can just start combat by shooting one of them... taking the one (aggressive) action before initiative starts.

@Volker
No problem with the edit - that's why I asked about your action.
Although I expected bnc to hack the smartguns to and through that neutralize your opponents

@all

Alright, since this is going to combat time, you all can roll for your opponents - at least for the normal soldiers.

They have 12+2d6 Ini, Defense 12, Full defense 16, Soak 20 (Body 5), Unarmed 12d DV 6S, Assault Rifle (Smartlink +2d) 14d DV 10P AP-2, Combat Knife 12d DV 8P AP-3
Matrix Defense: 9d (INT/WIL) resp. 7d (LOG)
Perception 12d/9d(if they lose wifi bonus)

Yes, he did. Back when we were briefed by the ghoul decker.

He counted the number of guards via their smartlinks.

Here are the pertinent quotes

QUOTE (Jack_Spade @ Jan 6 2019, 01:11 AM) *
bnc does take in the situation, but can't find much more than what Abdecker told you in his info packet - unsurprisingly, since the decker spent two days on the task. The building is relatively new and sadly lacks any kind of tunnels leading in or out of it. The count of the smartguns is correct though there are nine commlinks in total with 100m of the site most of them are R4, and only one is R5.

The Crusader forums don't have anything on the warehouse. This information is strictly above the grunt level, it seems.

The search for an ambush point is successful: Just half a kilometer away from the warehouse, there is a sharp turn followed by a very straight piece of road. Any car with the handling of a GMC will have to slow down considerably when taking the bend and afterwards there is a safe stretch of road to disable the engine without causing a crash.

QUOTE (Jack_Spade @ Jan 1 2019, 11:45 PM) *
"I have no exact intel on the inside. It's a bit outside Linz. Just a big, two story warehouse made form aluminium. They have high power consumption for their server farm and the accompanying cooling system. As far as I know, there are six guards. Two usually walk the perimeter with a hellhound and handguns. They receive daily deliveries from a white GMC Bulldog and send it full of product out again. The car arrives usually around midnight. The guards go in during that time. There is a kennel next to the warehouse where another two hellhounds are kept.
During operations, there are at least seven cars parked outside. Beside the guards there is your target person as well as two or three workers busy at the place.

I've counted six smartgun enabled Berettas, seven smartun AK-97, at least one person with wired reflexes and reaction enhancers, a strong sensor suite covering all entrances as well as one full time decker on duty armed with a Microtronica 300 and an R5 Agent system."

Abdecker replied.

Well, I'm definitely waiting for you guys to start the attack.
If bnc is stealthy enough to evade the decker's gaze she might be able to disable the guns on the premise and after that give you the go for the attack.
Otherwise, I remember that, Sharkboy was nominated to knockout his target first.

Oh, you'd still allow that although I fucked up? That's generous!

Well, then let's see. I operate in standard sneaky mode:
ASDF = 5 7((IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) 6 8(9)
Configurator (loading Battle Config)
Baby Monitor
Sneak
Stealth

Of course, the deck runs silent. I go for Watchdog (3x), then GIGO (swap "Fire" with "reboot in trouble shooter mode"), then again 3x Watchdog, 1x GIGO, and so. If I can distinguish, I will go from the heaviest cyber-up pals to the lowest until we either get noticed or one of my pals starts shooting.

Unfortunately, I have no idea what resistance rolls they roll.

The agent, in the meanwhile, performs Matrix Perceptions, both on me and to find the decker's icon. It'd warn me when the decker's watching me or has spotted and/or marked me.

As posted above: The guards defend against the matrix attacks with 9 dice or 7 dice when it's against Logic.
To preserve my sanity, I'll just have them all buy two successes and be done with it. So unless you spend edge, the 1 success at the 8th hack will cause the hacker to become aware of you.

If you want me to, I can roll for them and do the maths. Should I?

It would be the ninth attack, in that case I wouldn't use edge. Our boys can deal with the situation.
But I really can roll and compare the opposed rolls, otherwise it would be an unfair advantage for me/us. Just say so, I don't mind.
