So, to make sure I understand: I give Kas 4k real (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nuyen.gif) and 10k fake (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nuyen.gif) , and he gives me back 10k real (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nuyen.gif) .

What's the catch?

But, isn't the point of charging a 40% fee to assume the risk of getting caught through his cronies? That is, Kaz risks minions he doesn't care about, and he gets money in return.

That, and Time. And that before you guys didn't know anyone who could launder money.

Remeber you kidnapped the accountant, and blackmailed him.

Might as well launder all of it. We've had it forever and never used it, and we got a big expense coming up, so we might as well use the time to do it right and pay the boat off.

Hmmm? I"m not talking about the rating 1 fake (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nuyen.gif) we've had for a long time. I'm talking about the rating 6 fake (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nuyen.gif) that's being made by my monkeys & a Forgery autosoft.

That's going to take hideously long. Rating 6 monkey + rating 4 auto soft = 10 dice
- 1 for 5000 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nuyen.gif) = 9 dice. Average 2.25 hits

Threshold : 144 Interval 1 day

Time 64 days.

There is also the 44.8% chance the monkeys Critically glitching in that time period, making the results unusable.

BTW: Garret, do you have a backup character?

Actually, making fake nuyen is Edit+Forgery. Edit 7 + Forgery 4 + 1 for using a computer optimized for the purpose = 12 dice base. Apply a -2 for doing it with 10k (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nuyen.gif) at once, and +2 for one monkey aiding another (buying hits with 10 dice), it leaves me with a total of 12 dice for 2 monkeys. Buying hits = 3 dice, no glitches.

And actually, I've been working on a backup character this week. Why do you ask? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif)

Profession autosofts are the equivalent of a single Technical or Knowledge skill. It allows a drone with the proper equipment and specs (tools or working arms) to perform the task, rolling Pilot + [Profession] for the test.

And monkeys cannot work together. They are too stupid. And Even if they buy hits, they still can glich.

So, to make sure I understand: When a roll is specified to NOT be Stat+Skill, a drone using a technical autosoft to make the roll overrides that and uses Pilot+autosoft rating instead?

And, uh... since when can monkeys not work together, and glitch when buying hits? They've been working together to do stuff since I made my character. I even asked you, when making my character, how it would work when my monkeys worked together on something.

And as for glitches, if they really can still glitch when buying hits, there's an easy way to solve that. "Hey Toast, can you please but Stability on these two nodes?"

Since I am the GM, and am Reaching out at saying NO, you cannot mass manufacture Forged Nuyen, or else GOD will drop on your head like an angry hammer.

OK, OK, I won't use my second nexus to make fake nuyen. Fake SINs & licenses, on the other hand - those are good, right?

But really, why were you asking if I had a backup character? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif)

critical glitching in the nuyen making process and then accidental laundering could result in someone in the law enforcement catching on

You could try and do the invensting yourself, but the people a Brokerage X might have higher skills than you.

Well, at least having that knowledge skill would let me know about them and how to find them. I'll get to work on figuring out what I'm going to do with all that nuyen. Probably going to go with Brokerage X if I have enough left over after my 'ware overhaul. It's gonna' be expensive freeing up enough essence to cram a Rtg 3 move-by-wire system in there though.

By the way, thanks to everyone for coming to the office and finishing the run in the conference room. I've been wanting to do that since I started playing SR, so it made a great birthday present. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Eh, not sure precisely what happened before and what happened after you left--partly because I'm probably the only one of us who's still awake.

YAY INSOMNIA!

So, yeah.

Badass attacked me in melee, I had to burn edge to soak the damage, even with something like 13 hits on my parry roll. Then Reyas or whoever got possesed by that plant spirit and tore Badass in half. Lots of guys with guns showed up, we booked it to the drop pods and/or elevators and got the frag outta' there.

We can repair it piecemeal too. It'll just be a slow process. Think firefly (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif) We set aside a certain amount each run to fix the skytrain (or we all pay for one box out of our huge con-orchid check). That'll at least get her nice and maneuverable again. She's got (I think, without looking) around 12-15 boxes of damage (one or the other). We really need to teach Toast (or our AI for when he's jumped into her) some martial arts to make use of those arms.

--

But yea, after you went to sleep. Rivera was possessed and tore bad ass in half. We had taken out half the team, so they called retreat and hauled ass to the roof. At the same time, the bridge to one of the other towers was full of their "Second team" who blew in the door and started to move in. Rivera basically took us and ran (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif) Our blood splattered group would have set off the anti-crime sensors too, but we can turn invisible and went down to the parking garage instead of the street.

I had 1 hit box left after burning 2 edge on two attacks. Tom was really gunning for me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif)

Cool. I'm assuming Toast got that karma as well?

If I spent 10 karma on it, I could get Mechanic group 1. Then I'd roll 12 dice on whatever Mechanic checks we need. (Did I mention that Copperhead is absurdly smart?) Right now, I don't think I can spare that much karma. But soon, I may pick up that skill group.

As for the cost of repairing it, isn't it still covered under the Kond-Orchid expense account?

Also, if you need someone to repair the Skytrain, I do believe you guys happen to have your old mechanic as a contact. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif)

Didn't Doc Wheels leave some of his software lying around? I think you had a rating 4 Mechanics Autosoft for Aircraft. The AI could use it, which means he's throwing 12 dice too.
