@SincereAgape
One more quesiton (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif)
-Does range affect Suppressive Fire?
I'm mainly asking because if it does, Dexter will aim instead of firing a long burst. If the range doesn't he'll fire this turn, and switch to suppressive fire next IP.

Isn't movement a free action and not something that happens automatically?

Actually, the way I always understood the rules is that you can move X amount each IP, no matter what you do.
For exemple, on 3 IP, a human gets to run 8m per IP. If he doesnt move one IP, that movement is lost.

Althought, Running is a free action. No action means you "walk"

Yes, and that X is 10 for walking. If you run in IP 1 and then walk in IP 2, and have 3 IPs overall, then you move 25/3m in IP 1, then 10/3m in IP 2.

At least that is how I interpret it.

QUOTE
Once a mode of movement has been declared, the character
moves in that mode until his next Action Phase.

Which seems to indicate that one you have another Action, your movement reverts to 'standing' until you declare walking/running.

That's what I always thought it was too.

The book doesn't mention firing a wide burst or suppressive fire is not affected by the range as long as the gun can reach that far. You would just suffer the range penalties and recoil.

So, aiming it is (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif)
In case anyone wonders, I'm thinking about spending 1 edge to go first on the 3rd IP. This way, Dexter will be able to lay Suppressive Fire the entire IP, allowing people to move around if they want to (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

OK, I'm back. Sorry, but I had to come back to the cabin in the woods.

So, in his first pass, Hodder called his bound Fire Spirit and commanded it. It is still in astral space, so it travels 6000 km / hr which equates to 167 m/sec. At the end of the second pass it will be in the tower seeking out the shooter.

Hodder has optical magnification in his goggles, so he can zoom in on the tower and pick a target for spells. Hawkeye's shot missed the assailant, so he is still a viable threat, and also still a potential resource. Hodder's action in the IC thread momentarily.

Stunbolt (Direct), Force 10 - Target: Sniper
MAGic 5 + Spellcasting 6 + Totem 2 + Specialist Sorcerer 2 + Focus 3 - Sustained Spell(s) 2 – Range / Visibility 6 + EDGe 3 = 13 Dice
http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2294733
(2,2,2,3,3,3,4,4,4,4,5,6,6) = 3 Hits;
Re-roll 2x 6's
http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2294734
(1,3) = no additional hits;
Base Damage is 10S + any Net Hits after target rolls WILlpower + Counterspelling.
Drain = [Force ÷ 2] - 1 = 4P
Drain Pool = 12 Dice;
http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2294739
(1,1,2,3,3,3,4,4,4,4,5,5) = 2 Hits, 2P Drain Damage

Well, THAT sucked! Even spending EDGe I only got three hits. That's pretty pathetic. To make things worse, she blew the drain roll. For the record, based on results so far, I think this online die roller sucks. With only 3 hits, the sniper's going to reduce to 0 and make the 2 Physical wounds she took a waste. Oh well.

Just as a note: 3 of 15 as opposed to 5 of 15? That's 60% of nominal. Then the DRAIN roll? 50% of nominal? *shakes head and sighs*

I've been doing well with it so far.

Also, for future refrence, you can do xd6.hitsopen(5,6) to do a roll with edge which will reroll all sixes (including sixes that are part of the re-roll. In other words, perfect for use of edge)

Oh yeah! I forgot to do Drain.

F2 Levitate has Drain (2/2) + 1 = 2S (Yeah, stun, that's why I limited it)
Drain resistance 8 dice ==> OK, I'm getting that internal server error again. I'll try something. Seeya.

It works fine, Kerenshara. Sometimes It gives lots of hits, other times it doesn't. Sucks to be random.

Dartha scans the tarmac looking for other threats, maintaining the shield on Ms. Johnson. She calls out to Dexter who is still running to the tower, sounding seriously pissed off as she wipes the trace of blood from her upper lip.

"Dexter!"

If any of you yahoos is Lawful Good, you probably need to go outside and chase Evil-dooers or study the aesthetics of the hangar's architecture.

Dartha's going to make this mundane wish he never took this job... and enjoy it immensely. She may even ask a question or two...

Percpetion (Visual): Skill 6, Int 3, Limbic 3, Visual Enhancement 3, Actively looking 3 = 18 (18d6.hits(5)=5)

Provided that the sniper guy seems to go down, Hawkeye will look around for any other threats. She'll be using her weapon scope in low zoom to help her out with low-light and thermal vision.
