ahhh sorry , my bad , thought you meant Nan Indian , not Asian Indians (which would be very welcome in the game as they are big part of the eastend)

Hmm. This is good. The more I looked into my character, the more I realized how it pidgeonholed me, the less I wanted to actually play it.

The monkey-man (heh.) would be an infiltrator, investigator and a close-combat-lite.

Potentially. Alternately, Monkeyman could have been picked up by MI6!

I dunno. I'm fuzzy on how to become part of a deniable asset in britian in 2070.

*chuckles* funny thing is I have working on a British Spy/Face elf character with Secret Service background for another game, but since I end up in that games waiting list I might take a crack at this one instead, if your still looking of course.

so we have some ideas now

if you PM with your final character ideals, a real life name for the chummer and a callsign, that would be fantastic

Thanks

do you want full on character sheets at this time or just the write ups and prelims for our 21/50 questions?

I just gave him character name, Call name and a few lines of my character concept and it was enough for him to add me to the pool of potential players.

Any room for one more? I'm a Brit and I'd like to do a police sniper who's also a mage that specialises in looking for targets things. Uses Detection spells, Astral Perception, and the like. Would the UK police be like to use Awakened chaps? I think I'd play him like Danny Dyer, and keep calling Mr Johnson 'Guv' (IMG:style_emoticons/default/grinbig.gif)

Well... I was planning on doing all my roleplaying with a scottish brogue, so, if the cockney will annoy you...

Do you allow Specializations in skills taken as groups? (For instance: I want to specialize in Urban infiltration. Can I take the Stealth group and still spec.?)

I think he's asking if you allow people to split Skill Groups up at character creation. It's a pretty common house rule. Using his example, he basically wants to buy the Stealth Group to, say, 3, then grab Infiltration (Urban) 3, which in turn would split the group up to its component skills. Which is what happens after character creation if you want to do the same thing, too.

Pretty much. Its not really important, but it'll save me some BP if you let me split it up. And we all know, BP is the one true god in SR.

Another question: Can Gymnastics replace Dodge? Gymnastics does have a dodging as a specialization...

Gymnastics actually can replace dodge for defense, but only during a Full Defense, I believe.

basicly he is trying to say if he could use Gymnastics in place of dodge when rolling defence so her can save some BP by not having to buy the dodge skill itself.

Nah. It's not important. Honestly, it was more for clarification than anything else, since Ogres are rarely gymnasts.

I believe the only time you can't use Gymnastics in place of Dodge is when using Full Defense in Melee.. but only when you're using the Dodge + Dodge + Reaction option. If you're using the Weapon Skill + Dodge + Reaction option for it, you can use Gymnastics then. So, yes, you can replace Dodge with Gymnastics for all intents and purposes. The only time it's not a good idea is if you lack a melee Weapon Skill.

Assuming my memory of said rules hold up. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
