Cerberus Technological Institute has actually stuck with me. Not so much the Cerberus but CTI and the latter part have.

Is that a subsidiary of Charleston Chew? Or is it the other way around?

Made a sniper character if you ever happen to need extra players, but I won't throw my hat in just yet.

If you still have an opening, I can have you a character, concept sheet and all, before you wake up in the morning (will put her together while I work). Looks like the group's lacking a dedicated face, so I could throw a social adept at you. Or an Infomancer TM who happens to be a decent face as well (since you suggested a tech who can do all the intel gathering).

Also, is there a standard equipment package for this team? i.e. Are they issued a standard set of armor, a vehicle, standard firearms, commlinks etc?

Hey Atomic, what style of TM are you running with? I have one I been thinking of tweaking a bit for this (won't be hard as she was also a 500 BP corporate black ops character, just for DocWagon) who's a technoshaman, and figure why have overlap? I'm debating changing her to Info Savant, already changed her around some for the tweaks, but will wait until last minute for that if I do go with her.

Since Chance hasn't posted anything on here except for the once, also making an adept sam type character just in case there is a need for a tank/combat character.

Well, if I end up getting into this, I should have the combat area covered fairly well. Sniper with heavy milspec armor with ruthenium polymer coating (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Feel free to mention if that is too absurd, I certainly don't mind switching to light milspec armor (It's what I had to start with, but then realized there wasn't much reason not to switch)

Yeah that much cash is there to alow serious cybernetic or rigging gear or passablely gene tech.

No that doesn't sound too absurd fro combat ops you might want to make sure you have other options if you need to keep a low profile. I've not got anything past the intro job done as well I want to tailor this to the PCs.

Yeah, have a lined coat or whatever it is for more 'social' visits.

That or I figured the camo ability could possibly cause my armor to look like something else (like a business suit). Might be possible with lighter armor, but not so sure about heavy milspec.

No I don't think you could pull off clothing maybe form a distance but you'll be trying to look like something smaller than you are.

Well, figured the edges could do the normal 'see through' stuff, so it would appear smaller. It wouldn't hold up under close investigation of course, but the casual observer likely wouldn't notice.

The main problem would come when you try sitting on something and it looks like you're floating an inch or two (however thick the armor is) off the chair. Though even that likely wouldn't catch the eye of the casual observer.

Go down the street? Quite likely. Go through a crowded area? Maybe, though people would likely get suspicious quickly because of the feel. Go through security? Unlikely. More than likely they'll be looking at you closely enough to notice the slight errors, though on the other hand a -6 penalty is fairly serious, negating a skill/stat of 3/3, which is what you're 'average' security guard is likely to have.

I leave it up to you. I think it would work quite well, especially with lighter armors, but if not, I've already got the coat as backup anyway. Just need to tweak my points a bit more and finish up the character and all done with the crunch. Then I need to figure out a bit more about the actual character (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Oh, and should we get contacts? I got 15 points worth, but they're all restricted to Europe, so likely won't come into play much.

Go for a few more. If you want also feel free to buy group contacts as part of the corp. Run them buy me a bit more though.

Speaking of contacts, do you use the optional Cha x2 free contacts optional rule? Also, what are your opinions on the various social software (emotional, lie detector, etc)? And what optional Matrix/TM rules (if any) do you use?

No I don't this is 500BP with huge bosts on nuyen I'm sure you can find the contact points. As for the software I'm ok with it seeing as SR4A caps socal pool moddifers. Alsong as you method of using it isn't too dumb for the situation i'm ok with it.

That's cool. And yeah, just a matter of tweaking the sheet around, don't want to nerf my TM's hacking abilities too muh in case Atomic decides not to follow through and make a TM, but wanting more contacts seeing as I'm planning this character as a face.

Also, this doesn't eally have to be asked, but how does everyone feel about getting a rating 4 tacnet and all having at least 8 sensor channels on hand? I know it sounds like a lot, but it's not hard at all, when you think of it, considering each individual sense given to a pair of glasses, goggles, cybereyes, etc counts as one sensor, plus any handheld or worn sensors like the RFID signal scanners most every runner has. Heck, we could even talk about a standard 8 sensor channels to use. Here's my suggestions:

1=Low Light
2=Thermographic
3=Ultrasound
4=Smartlink
5=Radio Signal Scanner
6=Ultrasound/Motion Sensor
7=Cyberware Scanner
8=Camera (equipped to your glasses/goggles/whatever)

I've no problem with a tacnet. You actually made it more difficult than it needed to be for the 8 channels.

Goggles (1) with Low light (2), thermographic (3), smartlink (4) and vision enhancement (5).
Earbuds (6) with audio enhancement (7) and spacial recognizers ((IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

Anyone could buy that for a couple thousand or so tops.

P.S. Given that everyone is from the same company and same country, I'm presuming that we're all used to working with each other, right? Or have we simply not had to work together before?

Ok, forgot that part. Here's a random question you might know the answer to, is image link needed for it as a TM? For example, if I wear contacts with a few of the upgrades but not image link (cause as a TM I already see AR), would I be able to benefit from it all if the tacsoft is on my link and not a CF? I know mundanes/magical types have to have an image link to see all the Matrix data and so on, but TM's normally don't. If I just slave the link to my biological PAN, can I just use my inherent abilities?

And yes, I bought my tacsoft as a program and not a CF. At 1 BP = 20,000:nuyen: it's a lot cheaper to buy a lot of the stuff as programs rather than spend 1 BP per CF rating, especially when I have that limit of Logic x2 to total CF's.
