Okay, "Punk Rocker" isen't quite the Raver type I meant for her.
Watch The Matrix again, that's what it's all about - leather and style and sex. Skate's datajack, BTW, is at the base of the back of her skull, like most Rigger's, not on her skull. It's usually hidden in her hair. Combat boots are very Skate, that's just absloutely perfect. The pants are good, just not patched - they should be leather. :) I don't want to unduely influence you, since I like what you're doing on your own, but if you want to see my original Skate, who was a character in The Matrix Online's beta-test, here's a photobucket album with my best screenies of her: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v323/Sha...Dragon8685/MxO/ As far as Vincent - that's just rock and win. I love the action pose, the way the trenchcoat is flying out behind him. That's just... Made of rock and win. :) His head looks a bit blocky, though, like maybe he has a non-obvious Cyberskull, or else subdermal armor. Not a BAD look, by all means, I just thought I'd note it. And by all means, if you like movement better than stationary, feel free to revise Skate however you like. You're a good artist, like Squinky is - it's interesting to see how two different people develop the same character - and the more you draw, the more you refine your style. (Except me. I rotted any time I put pencil to paper.) |

Agreed, finding your style is important. THat's why I suggest trying a few differnet styles. you'll take bits and pieces of what you like and learn from other styles and incorporate it to make your own. Once you've got that, and you're own imagination, which is looking good, things come a lot easier. Definetly trying some drawing books that focus on anatomy. There's plenty that mix that wit hthe comic book styles, which helped me out a lot. |

Yay cool!
(Adds to collection of Vincent sketches.) There's something about having many artists work on your character that makes a nerd happy. |

o.k. I hope this works. It took an hour to change her face :please: it seemed like a nightmare. lol. I'm thinking of having her back to a brick building with either a door or window off center from her for the background. Any suggestions? I changed the pants to a leather look and changes the deck to have a touch pad w/ three buttons at the top like a pad on a lap top, also added a screen and number keys.
Also signed it. Barring any objections I will ink this tonight and add background. Let me know. |

The deck is made of winsauce and I love it. The face? Not so much.
Still looks kind of... Flattened. The neck might be responsible for this, partly - it looks very wide towards the base, kind of like you'd expect Arnold's neck. Also the eyes, they still look strangely... Cybernetic. Maybe this is a lack of irises and toning. Did you give her a breast reduction? I'm having a hard timetelling, but they don't look quite so huge anymore. Still, overall it's much better than last time... At least, I think so. (It might help to have the last picture available to compare it to. Perhaps revisions should be made with-a, -b, etcetera?) |

The head is a bit small for the body. Changing that would give more space for features. But it is looking better.

...any chance we may all get to see the development sketches? It appears they are being posted only in PMs.

...SD8685, thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
The cyberdeck, is a lot sleeker, doesn't appear to be an old PC keyboard with a jack cord anymore. (the original decker version of my character Violet built her homemade deck in the case of a kid's tutor comp). Not sure of the facial expression. I would see her having a more serious look in her eyes. Reminds me too much of the "Dazzler" from X-Men. Maybe her head more tilted down or 3/4, looking from the corner of her eyes. ...still nicely done overall, love the fashion styling. |

Very much improved, in my opinion. The face looks much better, but I think the nose is a little off. Cyberdeck looks very slick.
Can't wait to see the next ones, you've got some talent. |

The Irises helped a lot. :) Face still looks a bit funny, but c'est la vie. I'll ask you to redo her in 3 months or so, once you've got more practic under your belt or something.
I like it. It's good. |

Thank you, I truly appreciate that you like it, I would be happy to redraw this character in a month or so to see if it is any better. The character is awesome.
Calvin Hobbes here's a inked version for you. http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/48043037/ As I said I will be working these in photoshop, first shading then color. Next pencils, cristomeyers (both of them.) I feel bad that the faces aren't coming out well but it's my style of drawing. Having said that I think that it's been a phenominal experience hearing from u guys on what u think is wrong. I love it. I hope as these continue that my art gets better and better. However, please do keep in mind that I am a comic-book artist ( Marvel/ DC style)and although I'm not that good yet that is my style. Anyways :| Have a great day and I'll post later with updates and pencils. And... Thanks for all the kind words and support dumpshockers. |

Calvin's drawing there looks totally like he could march straight into the ranks of the superheros and start kicking butt. In fact, that's exactly what he looks like he's about to do.

cristomeyers here's a first draft and a question.Do you mind a hermetic circle on the ground ( her in the center)? right now the circle looks like crap but the many lines gauge the circle when I finish there will only be three thick borders for three circles.
The use of space: I have an idea to get both your characters in the same picture. Don't worry the characters will be drawn individually first then put together. What do you say? Oh... her left leg is going to be changed, it's too long. http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/48091343/ |

That is excellent. She looks scared of something, which if you knew her backstory, fits well, but it's a little much. I'd say lessen that effect a touch and it'd be perfect. Overall though, it fits well with what I had pictured. The circle looks great too, keep it.
If you can get both of them in a picture, that'd be great. They're something of a student/mentor team, Anubis is one of the two men she trusts. She's much more confident around him and he's fond of her in a big brother way. I'll save the rest of the board from the details, but if you think they'd be useful, let me know. ...this is real nice. I like your action poses, very fluid. This guy's "comin at ya." ...would be fun to see Leela on her rollerblades with something going *boom* behind her & her giggling. |

We have got to play a game together... Last time my character (the only one I haven't listed here, yet) did something like that, we were getting shooed off by security from a van that had two Rottwieler drones in it. So what does Alex do? Shouts "don't look into that van!" as he's walking away. of course, they looked. Even our Trickster shaman was going "dude, you're cold" I agree, your action poses are particularly good. Keep it up! |
