Don't fool yourselves: At first, it's always "we don't care about crappy layout, artwork or small translation mistakes, just as long as we get the content. Later, the drek hits the fan when everybody is griping about how bad the layout/artwork/translation/content sucks.

QUOTE "And why is that?" - "To keep us angry. If Marines could get what they needed when they needed it we would be happy and wouldn't ready to kill people all of the time. The Marine Corps is like America's Pitbull. They beat us, mistreat us and every once in awhile, they let us out to attack someone." (IMG:style_emoticons/default/grinbig.gif) |

I can punch out something good-looking in InDesign *much* more easily and quickly than Word. It's not the tools, it's the attention to detail that takes the time, and we'd surely be railed on if we released a bunch of stuff that was far below our usual production values. No complaints here for small extras like the Digital Grimoire. Though, I'm easy and don't speak for everyone. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Never used InDesign... We use Word because everyone can use it ... then they bring it to us to bang our heads against it until it looks publishable. Yay. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dead.gif) |
