Sorry about this, but I can't send this message through PMs as your box is full!

I may have asked this before, but if I did I lost the message :) What does Kagetenshi mean?

I ask because I recently created a pseudo-Asian character for our local group's fantasy game, had a complete brain-lock when asked for a name, and the only thing that came to mind was your nick.

I have no Japanese to speak of, and from a cursory look the nick appears to break down into "Kage" or "Shadow", "Ten" which I think may mean "Heaven" (as in Musashi's Ni-Ten, or Twin Heavens, sword style) and Shi which I believe means Death or Four. Equally likely it has no relation to any of that :D

(Although "Heaven's Shadow of Death" is a really neat name for a paladin... :rotfl: )

If i'm not mistaken, Tenshi is "angel" kagetenshi would be "shadow angel" or "angel of shadows". keep in mind IANANJS (I am Not a Native Japanese Speaker) so I could be wrong.

If so Gomen Nasai for butting in here :)
