Just for clarity's sake -- I'd put in my intro post that this was a second hand favor being called in, thanks to Billy's superior in the Octagon (Mushu Jiang). Maybe Lucky'd done a job for the Octagon and accepted a minor favor in lieu of payment, maybe it was something similar a generation earlier (with his dad having done a favor for Jiang, and the debt having been handed down)... However you'd like to flesh it out, what it boils down to is Billy getting sent to go do the job, because a Red Pole sees no reason to get his own hands dirty if he can send one of the kids to do the work for him instead.
Also, is there somewhere we should be posting specifically what stuff we have on us at the time, and that sort of thing (in case the poop hits the fan early on)? I don't wanna just spam the joint up with proclamations of carried gear if it's supposed to be somewhere else or handled via PMs or whatnot. |

Fenris - sent you a 2 PM's regarding Vertigo's attributes and back story.
Also a few general questions: 1.) Should we avoid reading the Full Moon threads in case of spoilers? 2.) Any preference about signatures (on/off) in the IC thread? Everyone - just as a general note: I have been playing SR for years, but I am new to the forth edition (haven't been able to find anyone in my area to play with). One of my goals in this game is to learn the system better, so if you notice any errors in my OOC post (game mechanics, etc) please let me know. I will appreciate the feedback!! |

Method's post reminds me -- ditto, here. I have no idea if I made a decent, or laughable, or munchkinned up (or somewhere in between) SR4 character. I'm an SR3 guy, know it backwards and forwards and you name it (after playing both SR and SR2, mind you), but I've really never had a chance to roll my sleeves up and play any SR4.
I've been in about five aborted on-line games with Billy, and I think a whopping ONE of them involved any dice rolling at all...so I'm here to get a little practical experience with the game just as much as I'm here to tell a cool story. My apologies in advance if I wind up getting us all killed by thinking in terms of the wrong edition. ;) |

I just went with a concept I thought would be fun to roleplay, and just hope he's useful. |

Critias - I'm not too worried about the specifics unless it's something crazy.
"Of course I had my LMG, I totally coulda slipped it by the guys at the door of the fancy French restaurant." - That sort of thing. If it's relatively small and concealable, don't care. I hate to require gear posts every scene change, and it's awkward trying to fit exactly what you're carrying into an IC post without making it sound like a gear list. I don't care which commlink you brought or how many stim patches. If you're packing rocket launchers, full body armor, or something similarly obvious and bulky, something needs to be mentioned, just so I know how to react with NPC's. And I actually got the exact idea you were trying to get across. I'm fine with leaving it vague for the moment. I have an idea of what the favor is for, but you don't, so it'll help for better roleplaying until it comes up in game, if it does. Method - I don't mind if you read them both, I don't think there will be alot of obvious cross-contamination for the most part of the thread. You're not like, working directly against that team or anything. And please no sigs in the IC thread, sort of breaks up the reading. Redjack - I don't mind if you post the resistance rolls, I trust my players unless given a reason not to. And it does speed things up ;) Djinni - He's definitely interesting XD |

Me too. I found that its really hard to build a mystic adept in SR4 that isn't incredibly specialized!! But then I guess that was true in all the previous editions too. I'll just warn you all now that she is pretty useless in combat... |

@Djinni - Chairs and tables are mostly human sized, but reinforced due to all of the "odd" customers. Easily support troll weight.
The music is a combination. There is an audio and visual component that is real, but there are also visual components in AR, and if you have are connected to your commlink via a chipjack or trodes, there are extra audio/tactile/olfactory/visual components as well. |

easily support troll weight cool...but even big trolls don't weigh as much as me. lets just hope it holds, and Atlas doesn't lean back in the chair ~.^
since my commlink fizzled out mysteriously I just wanted to make sure he could hear the music. sadly he doesn't get to look in the mirrors to see if he would look different or normal... [ Spoiler ]

Just to clarify for myself -- is Fixx a guy or a girl? I'd been thinking female from earlier posts (particularly the OP itself), but was I mistaken?
No big deal either way, really, just a little corn-fused. |

*shrugs* I guess "gorgeous" just tends to have a feminine overtone to it. At least I wasn't the only one. :)

So how do we handle this assensing stuff? Is there a die roller somewhere, or do we all just tell him stuff on our own, or what? *is a noob*
