 Agents and EW, Can an agent Scan by itself? |

When acting on their own agents effectively get Computer, Cybercombat, Data Search, and Hacking skills = Pilot. Notice there is no EW skill. I can understand them not having Software or Hardware skills.
One result of this is that Scan, which is EW + Program rating, is difficult for Agents. If the commlink the agent is on doesn't have Scan program available, then the commlink has a default scan at rating 1. Assuming that not having skill means defaulting, that could mean a pool of Scan 1 - 2 for defaulting. Of course one way to get around this is to load your agent with an EW autosoft, but I was wondering if this situation was intentional. This affects agents performing other EW dependent such as Intercepting Wireless signals. |
