I'm currently playing Deus Ex 2, and I've started talking to NG Resonnance in the game. She's a pop sensation liked by all that has little booths in clubs, where an AI/knowbot representing her (is her? not that far in the game yet) holds conversations with people, tailoring itself to please the customer. Now this got me thinking: pop divas are a central part of cyberpunk I've overlooked a lot in the past, but Deus Ex got it flowing again.
So, I'm thinking of applying this to SR. What if you took a rising starlet (hailed as the next Maria Mercurial), added delta wear cyber including skillwires, a DNI-ed computer with loads of memory tucked inside a cyber torso, and one AI (or, more likely, a very powerful knowbot) designed to please like nothing else. The ultimate algorithms applied to calculating songs, rythms and frequencies that are irresistible to the human psyche. The perfect cyberpunk Sharon Apple. Thoughts? |
