I have a pair of questions about chipjacks and expertdrivers:

First, if I read the expert driver description correctly, it applies to any skillsoft at all, right? Knowsoft, activesoft, and linguasoft? And this doesn't get restricted by skillwires for an activesoft, so for example an expertdriver of 3 and skillwires of 3 will give me 6 dice on a rating 3 Athletics chip?

Second, if an expertdriver is hooked up to one of the multi-slot chipjacks, do you have to designate which slot it applies to or can it apply to any of the slots on the fly? So could a character with a Negotiations chip and a Pistols chip use the expertdriver for the Negotiations and then switch on the next action to Pistols (when negotiations fail, heh...) without ejecting and reslotting the chips? And if so... free action? Simple? And can you then split the expertdriver dice pool between two chips, i.e. 2 from a rating 3 expertdriver towards negotiations and 1 towards pistols?
