QUOTE (Fortune @ Oct 26 2005, 04:59 PM)
I never even thought about the possibility that you could just whack your Agility (albeit at -1) on to a Full Defence test. If so, then fuck me!

Nnnnno. To both suggestions.

You can't just default to (Agility - 1) on a full defense test, because full defense is not an Agility + Gymnastics test. It's a Reaction + Gymnastics test in this case. You can't substitute an attribute for a skill when it's being linked to a totally different attribute.

Personally I'm not a fan of the Gymnastics dodging at all. I decided not to nix it, since there are characters in my group who'd pump Gymnastics as part of their character concept, but I ruled that (in addition to the "or" instead of "and" on melee/ranged) when using your Gymnastics you don't get the free action you'd otherwise get that turn. Therefore, you can't run in your turn, you can only walk. This can make a real difference when people are shooting at you.

Asking for the sixth week running, months after the debut of SR and 7 months after this was posted to the SR4 FAQ:

"Q. Will there be rules for converting characters from SR3 to SR4?
A. Yes, we will publish a conversion guide on the website (not in the core rulebook)." (March 28th, 2005)

So, any news on this? Is it still planned? When might we expect to see it?

The conversion rules are available on the main site; HERE

If I was beaten to it, oh well. If not....:D :spin: :D

Now I just have to wait until X-Mas to read my copy of SR4 (I have it on reserve & holding at my gaming shop). :S
