However their are also great things (especialy about technologies includes on those wearable things, but it's not visible... ) For example, on some picture you can see model with a kind of stick. It's a special stick which "translate" any letter you write in the air into a document file in a wireless HDD.
About sunglasses, they already exists and we have some examples on those picture (not the most fashion, I agree). Smart sunglasses exists in more fashion form, I saw one of them during my travel in Korea and wow they was cool ^^. However the distance between the eye and the display was to close for me. I guess smartglasses on the photos give a better confort. Anyway It's the begining of the Augmented Reality era ^^ > Daegann |

well, right now they look more like the visir of la forge or cyclops. if they can make them look like sunglasses, alltho a bit thicker so as to make room for the lcd screens, it will be a big improvement from today.
when i say thick i dont talk 10+ cm thick, i talk 2-3 cm thick. thin sunglasses are in the area of 1cm, not something that can be done with the tech of today... a diffrent problem is being able to walk around while using them, much less driving or similar while using them... |

working hardware? thats the small black box that all the wires connect to, and that you either stuff in your pocket or hook to a belt or similar...
or maybe better yet, forget the wires, go bluetooth and wifi... i can trow together a concept quite fast, problem is the user interface... |

Because it's been linked to femeninity, and homosexuality. Guys are "supposed" to stomp around in dirty jeans two sizes too big and untucked t-shirts two sizes too small, needing a shave, with mussed up hair, without having bathed for a day or two. Just ask...y'know...commercials. |

I'm actually very curious how you manage to conceal a weapon. Pretty much everything I wear is fitted. In the winter, I guess I could conceal a weapon under jackets or a hoody, but in the summer, there is just no way to do that with a form fitting tshirt and relatively fitted, low rise jeans. I have no practical experience even trying any of this. Just curious how.

I think Avery Brooks' Hawk was the sterotypical Street Samurai. In the show he carried a massive long barrelled .44 magnum revolver.
Men can have their suits taylored to hid weapons but that's a heck of a big pice. You need an extra fold of cloth to be fitted where you carry the gun. larger guns have to be under the arm, because there is a natural hollow there and you can hide the bulge with your arm. There also should be extra cloth accross the back to hide the strap of the holster accross your shoulders. That's an advantage we have over men. A strap accross our backs will probably be thought of as a bra strap. That is the only advantage women have. business suits are even more strictly taylored. They are supposed to show off waist and hips. A gun in the purse is worse than useless. You won't get to it if you need it fast and if it comes out sooner you will just escalate it all. Personally when not dressing for work I like "boyfriend" jackets. that is it looks like a man's jacket, a little bulky on you but the length of the arms is that is is clearly made for a woman's arms, smaller than the bulk of the waist or shoulder of the jacket implies. Under that I can wear a beretta cheetah in a shoulder or hip holster. For SR terms think of a light automatic. beretta 200T, or a ceska. Sure not too much hitting power but I'm small and don't have the bulk to hide something too big. plus I don't need much. Under a long coat this time of year I can get away with a S&W .357 with a 4 1/2 barrell in a hip holster, for game purposes-think superwar hawk, but I'm happy with what I carry normally. If you just wear jeans and fitted t-shirts, you're screwed. Without a jacket a loose shirt, untucked, might hide a gun from a casual observation but it won't be comfortable and if you usually dress sharply, the change will make people wonder. probably your best bet is an ankle holster with a small gun, a .32 or beretta tomcat. |

Super Warhawk ain't no .357, though that is a pretty beefy pistol. I just don't get why you need it. At close range, wouldn't you get more blow-throughs, losing a lot of the stopping power of the gun? You're not *trying* to make a big exit wound are you?

I go shooting with a friend often. For target shooting my favorite load is the .357 with .38 specials. With that firing at a standard pistol target at 25 yards I can score between 40 and 50 consistently. I bought it brousing in a gun store, waiting for them to bring up a shirt in my size from storage. It was being sold on consignment for $200. It had been on the shelf for about an hour, having just been cleaned and labels that morning. A beutiful piece they do not make it like htis any more, litterally. blackened finish, walnut grips, 4 1/2 inch barrell. The guy behind the counter said "I knew this wouldn't stay for long.' The previous owner hadn't treated it well. I found the cylinder tended to jamb shut. A couple of trips back to the store, where I got to go in the back room with their gun smith to see what was going on. We found the past owner had not really cleaned it well after using it and lots of crud had been worked into the inner workings. We had the girps off and practically had it down to the frame. Since then it shoots like a dream. I take care of my toys- And all this gave me a real good insight into the workings of guns and gun smiths for SR. The .380's in the beretta is a good reliable weapon but it lacks take down power.but it is also well known to me and I am satisfied that if needed I could use it to good effect. |
