It's not often that a sourcebook, not even a Shadowrun sourcebook (gasp!) inspires one to reevaluate one's life philosophy. It was in the quarter-page section about dragons and their hordes. The reason they keep such a jealous grip on their hordes is because of the memories associated with them, the feelings and the dreams. Their value transcends their market value. And I think that's what I need. That's what everyone needs.

:(...

That's the emoticon for tears.

On a much more game related note, this would make the Memory Crystals in their hoards the most treasured items so if you ever have a meet where the Johnson asks you to nab one of those poltiely decline the offer and get ready to fight your way out of the meet.

i would have to argue that if you are in a meet and the words "steal from a dragon" ever come out of his mouth, you should politely decline and leave (by force, if necessary) *regardless* of what he wants you to steal.

oh, and just 'cause i'm a nitpicking kind of guy, horde is like the mongol horde.

hoard is like a dragon's hoard. kind of a difference there, you know ;)

oh, and i think the emoticon for tears is traditionally :'(

Not really. Much like half of the other recent threads around here, it's just emo samurai rambling on about something that the rest of us just have to hear all about.

Do I clutter the message board THAT much? There's room for, like, 30 threads on each page.

Okay, so you have a point. But I ask about things everyone else seems to ask about, so I don't really see what's so different about my threads. Except for this one. This one was very special.

And in case you can't read sarcasm, as evinced by your apparently completely ignoring the "that's the emoticon for tears" part, "This one was very special" was also ironic. Sort of. I tend to mix up sincerity and irony.

Yeah. That doesn't fucking mean 15 of those 30 have to be you, asking some stupid question about a clearly-described piece of gear, or making an observation no one cares about or asking for (then ignoring) input on some character of yours, or getting all weepy over a sourcebook (in two simultaneous threads) or asking for release dates (that you can look up on the sr web page) or ranting about release dates, or suggesting ruthenium coated grenades, or babbling about Leonardo (in two threads) or demanding (in all CAPS, of course) power armor, or any of the other random and conversationally worthless crap you've spewed all over the place in recent weeks.

Scroll down any given page of threads, and you'll see that a remarkably high number of them are all created by you, and that in most cases you get an clear, concise, simple, easily-looked-up answer to your question inside five posts. You ask easy/stupid questions, or you show off cliched/stupid character ideas (with a thread for each, naturally), blah blah blah waste of everyone's time and spamming the place up.

I don't see what it would kill for you to, instead, have a single thread that we could all choose to wander into or not, to help answer your questions or give (ignored) advice or share (ignored) input about characters, or whatever. ONE thread. Not twenty five (yes, twenty-five).

Seriously.

They could rename this the "emo samurai" forum, or something, lately.

But, hey. I'm not a mod or anything. Knock yourself out.

While a bit harsh, I think Critias is correct, in that you've been spamming the forum of late. Now, not like...horrid spam, but just posting a lot. Way more than other people, thread-wise. Most of us make maybe one new thread a day - maybe. That is, the semi-active to active ones of us (not counting the lurkers).

It's cool you're enthusastic about the game. I like that. It's awesomely badass. But, if you have a question about gear, ask in the stickied topic about Combat and Gear. You have a question about magic, ask in that.

A few new threads here and there, eh, whatever. But not a new thread for every little thing that doesn't matter.

ouch Critias, I'm annoyed by this wandering thread too, but damn....

Emo: GR's got the right of it, try sticking to an existing thread instead of creating a new one all the time. If you've got a legitimate question, or an idea you want to share, then say screw it and go for it. No Biggie. It's the wandering, sorta pointless threads that's getting Critias peeved. 'Course he'll probably correct me and tell you the other things that are pissing him off and tell me to shut up, but that's what friends are for. ;)

besides, at least he didn't turn a thread about D's will into a talk about gas vs electric stoves. (that was someone else... right...? Ah hell, now I have to go look at that damned thread again!)

No, this subject would go in the aptly titled "Dragons of the Sixth World" subforum which hasn't been seriously used for some time. And with good reason.

I'm with Critias on this. Every thread of yours is either easily answered or has already been answered. That, or so superfluous that you could've just as easily gone about your life without spreading the uselessness of the thread to DSF.
