Okies, i have to post this, i think im brave enough now (IMG:style_emoticons/default/grinbig.gif)

It's a rather lofty request. I'm really curious to see what you could do. Five members of a magical group, 'Midgard', who all follow aspects of Norse gods/enteties as their mentor spirits. Johann is a PC of mine from a couple years ago; the other ones are fully statted NPCs that the GM used-but could easily become PC's as well. Again, this is a very tall..but after you get some free time, if you want to chip away at a portrait of the five 'heads of state'', if you will, i'd love to see your take. No hurry at all, and if it's too much, i understand of course(i already have asked you for four characters so far, so ive been a bit excited. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) )

Johann: A Giant, the Nordic Troll variant. Follows Odin. He's tall...most Giants are over three meters in height-and strongly built. Being more human looking as Giants are, he lacks the tusks and dermal deposits, but unlike most Giants, has a set of horns on his head...they are a little different than usual, starting behind his ears and curving out, around, and under his jaw. He's got a long mane of reddish-gold hair and a long, braided beard on his chin-no mustache. He's got some sideburn-looking things as well that are pretty long, but don't connect with the beard. His eyes are blue, and his right eye is put out essentialy..whited and with a scar over it, which he did himself as part of a ritual when he was discovering Odin. His weapon of choice, of course, is a long spear. He's got runic necklaces, runic tattoos on his arms, some rune branding on his chest...dressing in a big leather jacket with fur around some parts, a loose tank top and old bluejeans with boots. He's pretty attractive for his type, and only about 22 years old. His jacket has fetishes out and around on it; he's a fairly evenly split Mystic Adept(his adept powers are more physical, his magical powers are more the seer powers). He looks to be in excellent shape. He carries no guns, but a couple of throwing axes on his belt.

Jens: Jens is a dwarf, and the oldest of the 'gang', in his early 30s. He's a more lightly built dwarf, and a full shaman whose mentor spirit is Loki. Jens looks like a rather shifty fellow..his blonde hair is kept neat and combed back, kind of short, his green eyes look like he knows just what he's going to say. He prefers to dress rather utilitarian; neat bluejeans, sneakers, and a T-shirt with an open buttondown over it. He's a little more tanned than the rest of them. Being the Tricktster he's a little more likely to stay out of combat, however, he also is a part of this magical group so isn't a slouch; his weapons of choice are a machine pistol and a Cougar Fineblade Long when he needs to fight(this is usually sheathed across his back). He does have some runic-fetish like tattoos around, and on his neck is a small dagger. He's got a goatee which is dyed a different color every week(be creative here.)

Celeste: The only female in the top 5, but also sort of the de facto ''wise one'', following Frigg(a Moon Maiden variant in our games).a Human, Probably easily the most level headed and calm of the bunch, she has the tedious job of keeping the other four men thinking correctly. Celeste is around 5'9'' and rather willowy; she's also a full magician, fair skinned with light blonde, long straight hair. She tends to dress rather nicely-not in evening gowns or anything, but prefers a nice jacket, blouse, and nice pants; but nothing that you wouldn't wear casually. She also wears a few runic tattoos and of course has the telltale fetishes. Her eyes are gray. She tends to parley rather than fight directly, but if necessary, her weapons of choice are a simple light pistol and a monowhip(her max force Stunball or Manaball usually being the first choice over them). She's quite pretty, and around 27 years old, making her the second oldest of the crew. She thinks Johann might actually be a good guy for her if he weren't almost two and a half times her size.

Jenner: The quintessential pretty-boy elf of the group; even elf faces would pay alot to look as good as this guy- with his straight black hair well past his shoulders and piercing blue-green eyes. He's very tall, even for an elf; and built quite well; not beefy but very strong looking. He's also a mystic adept-but a whole lot more adept than mystic-and he's also about five degrees away from being near insane; his patron mentor spirit is Fenris(out of MitS.) Thinking most other humans and metahumans as prey(luckily still kept in check...and not a terrible person under all of this), he is probably a more vicious fighter than even Johann, fighting with only his bare hands(he keeps a knife on his belt for the hell of it). Around 25 years old, his skin is so pale it might as well be white, and his eyes occationaly have some darkish rings under them, he doesn't sleep too much. He, like the rest of the gang, has runic tattoos on his arms and chest; he wears some sort of sleeveless shirt, loose pants to move easily in, and heavy gloves and boots, both of which are designed with varied kind of spikes, barbs, and other nasty sharp things(not enough to get in the way), with steel in all the right places. The gloves go almost to his elbows, the boots have a sort of thin spike-nail thing on the soles.

Thorfin: Like his name, this young ork's mentor spirit is Thor. Thorfin is only 19 years old, and a big, loud ork at that; he's got an amazing mane of hair that's about as red as red can be; his goatee is rather small still; he's still kinda young(much to his chagrin). He's also a mystic adept, and it doesn't need to be said all of his spells have to do with Lightning of some form...or that his weapon of choice is a bigass hammer. (Think the Combat Axe in Hammer form, with all kinda runes and stuff in it). He's tall and pretty solidly built; he's a little shorter than Jenner but a little more robust. He favors a battered old Army jacket, beaten blue jeans, a studded old leather belt, Doc Martens and whatever heavy metal t-shirt he dug out of his hamper(or off his floor) that day. He doesn't look surprisingly angry or threatening through all of this, however. Even being the youngest, he probably has more tattoos than any of them; his arms are about half covered and he's still going. His right eyebrow is pierced, as are both of his ears, with silver rings. He also wears, of course, a Thor's hammer necklace around his neck; he probably looks as close to Thor as one can be when one is a still-teenage ork. His gun of choice when he uses one is naturally a big, loud, shotgun.

I am doing the color thing more to better myself in that department. Kinda like how I started this thread and have made myself grow with everybody's help here, I'm just doing it with color now (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I use photoshop 7 for all my stuff.

My understanding is that Gimp has all the same stuff as Photoshop. I'm just used to it.

I don't mess with all those cheesy filters, mostly I take advantage of layers and adjusting the opacity on each layer.

I have Gimp floating around, it's not a bad little program. I used to use Photoshop almost extensively, but yeah, the price sorta got to me after awhile as the new ones came out. I mainly just used it at the college.

...I have no complaint with Gimp, and yes, it does have much the same the feel of PS (I used an earlier version of PS in production applications at my former job, unfortunately I didn't own the license). I am also running Daz Studio which does have a Bridge app. for PS but alas, none for Gimp.

As to colourising, yes, layers are definitely the way to go.

I have two characters I'd request images of. Both of my characters are white male caucasians, around 6'02" to 6'04", are fairly stocky build. Probably around 210 pounds or so. It'd be awesome if you could draw both of these guys together.

First is Cougar. He's a walking tank of street samurai steel. Kind of got metal pieces showing around his arms, a rough and unshaven face, and long flowing red hair. Always wears a black armored vest on top of a camoflauge jacket with a pair of camo pants. His weapon of choice is the Steyr AUG-CSL (I belive it looks like a bullpup) and he has two hip holsters with Ares Predators. And a knife tucked into his boot. Also, the old school green camo. He usually has that badass jackass smirk.

Second is Reaper. He looks like the second coming of the grim reaper. He has a scythe polearm. He has a metallic plate on the left side of his face and all the teeth on that side are silver-colored. Red cybereyes. Usually wears a grim-reaper style cloak that is tattered with years of use and bullet holes. Underneath his custom cloak is form fitting body armor. The only other weapon he carries is a Ruger Super Warhawk as a back-up. He's in it for the blood and the carnage. Never smiles. Always looks... well, grim or expressionless.

I would dance the magic happy dance if you drew anything near to them. Or if you drew them together, since they usually run as a team, that would be pro. I use them constantly in games I play in, or use them as bad guys in games I run, and could use the picture over and over again. Me love you long time, etc.

Hey squinky, sorry, I forgot to get back to you. I really like those new versions of creeper. A good scary feel, and much better Kid Stealth.

If you'd like, I've recently made a character that might be fun to draw. She's a hedonistic French-Syrian expat Artist/Hacker with a penchant for body art.

Appearance:
Anais’ appearance is transient between Arabic and European. Her skin is much fairer than other middle-eastern girls, and her hair less curly, but still thick. Her father’s deep-brown eyes are gone, replaced with the dark yellow-green slits of black market bazaar bioware.
She is quite pretty and mysterious, but not beautiful like her mother was. Her build is slim and boyish, with small breasts, and she has dark eyebrows and a slight overbite under her full lips.

Dress:
Astro dresses however the hell she likes now. Unrestrained by the religion she left behind, she has found a passion for body art. Each ear has several different piercings, loops and bars and exotic jewelry or pieces of tech often adorn her ears. She has an eyebrow stud, a small diamond nose piercing and a small silver ring looped through the corner of her bottom lip.
Anais has naturally thick, beautiful and healthy hair, but you only live once, right? She spent a few years with an androgenous boycut to avoid trouble during her studies in the middle-east, currently her hair has grown back, and is a bit longer than shoulder-length, although she is getting bored of it.
Astro is fascinated by body art, although doesn’t opt for excess like full sleeves on herself. She has a tangle of cherry blossoms on her left shoulder, running down her shoulder blades and her biceps. Alternating thick red and black bands on her fingers and “freeâ€? written in Arabic ( حرر; يحرÙ?ر، يطلÙ?Ù‚ سراح ) Around her left wrist. On her upper back, cat pawjust under her neck data-jack, is the Arabic text of “Speed of Lightâ€? ( سرعة الضوء )and two tiny cat paws on the backs of her thighs.
She often wears ripped up band t-shirts, singlets and whatever will show off her tattoos. She dyes her denim jeans a range of colours like red or acid green, with sewn in studs and patterns. She loves old leather. Her favourite piece of armor is her colour-shifting poncho. She often designs and codes entertaining graphics for it, like a fish swimming leisurely across her back.

I would love to see my character, Mike Guyver, on paper instead of just in my head. Unfortunately, I can't even draw a straight line with a ruler. I've been lurking on this thread and checked out your stuff and it is amazing. Please put me in the queue.

Mike is a 24 year old troll. I picture him with dark skin, wise eyes (Logic of 6), horns that curve down (like rams horns) following the contour of his head and dredlocks that go down to about mid back. Mike is a mechanical genius. He grew up in the barrens so he is used to having to improvise his materials. He can make pretty much anything as long as he has duct tape, gum wrappers and a paper clip. Mike favors his shotgun and his Ares Predator for protection. He hasn't got any cyberware (cause he still can't afford it). He pretty much stays in his winterized coveralls and a greasy t shirt all the time. I also imagine he has gearhead tattoos covering his right arm. In his free time, Mike is usually hunched over some gadget trying to get it to work.

Hey there... Long time admirer, first time requester!

I've got a character named Cuervo I'd like to get into the queue. He's a healthy 5'10 with broad shoulders and a lean but muscular build. He should have the features of a relatively pale but handsome Azzie/Amerind warrior, since his dad is full-blooded Nahua Aztlaner while his mother was a Mestizo (that, and he has a stupidly high charisma + first impression (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif) ). Details wise, he has dreads that don't quite reach his shoulders and usually dresses in old black jeans, and a wife beater worn under an unzipped hooded urban camo track jacket. He's also a Shamanic Way Adept who follows the Rat, so he wears a talisman around his neck that consists of a rat skull and 4 greasy black crow feathers (couldn't hurt if he looks kinda cocky and up to something either (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) ). He's often chewing on a toothpick and wearing wraparound shades, but its your call if you want to incorporate any of that. He's also a barrens ganger, so any gear and background should be fairly run down, but I'm not really all that picky. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Oh, and he usually doesn't carry obvious weaponry, but when he does favor snap-blades, knives and machetes.

I'd like to make a request.

Character is an african american dwarven face. He wears his hair in tight 'corn rows' and keeps his face clean shaven except for four inches or so that comes off his chin. Generally he dresses in slightly oversized sports jerseys when he's going for the comfortable look or a full suit when going for business attire (either is good). Sunglasses, the wrap around neo-biker/cyber-punk kind, either worn or on top of his head would be good. Obvious cyberware consists of only a data jack.

He's a bit of a runt, low body and strength for a dwarf, so if you can draw a skinny/wiry dwarf and keep him dwarven looking that'd be great. Also he's pretty personable, so a smile (maybe a sly smile) on his face would be good. If you want to give him a small scar or something on the face for a bit of character that'd work too (but nothing to large like a giant scar around his eye or anything).

As far as other affects he prefers to travel light, no jewelry, no bling, no commlink (it's in his head). Armor consists of a vest worn underneath his normal clothing so no jacket unless you go for the suit look.

Brown eyes, black hair, brown skin as is typical of his ethnicity.

A brief description of my Traveller character: Samuel Jensen, a 38 year old Free Trader First Officer. He is dressed in fairly good quality clothes: waistlength jacket, jersey and pants, in a sort of business-casual style, with ankle boots; he has a pistol which he keeps holstered on his right hip when law level permits.

Facially he looks somewhat like Morena Baccarin, except he's a guy; his hair is usually short, and is quite dark. Sam is brown-eyed and dusky, and is a generally pleasant fellow.

If possible I'd prefer a full-body shot, please, and naturally please PM me when you're done.
