I did up a picture of Anne-Marie today, and even spent a good couple hours coloring it. I always save a lot, and I managed to save right as a power surge hit my computer. Now Photoshop won't let me open it up.....
Anyways, I'm sure I'll get it up here soon, I just don't currently have the patience to go through that again, and I have in-laws to visit regardless. Happy Holidays. |

...yeah, she looks older than she actually is, however the basic look is great. You captured her "Lemony Snicketts" style perfectly down to the fishnet sleeves.
I actually have the entire 13 book Unfortunate Events set titled The Complete Wreck Wonderful stories. I actually wrote the character's backstory in the Snicketts style. Suggestions if I may, Maybe a more softer, narrower chin giving her a more heart shaped face. Also prominent smile and cheekbone lines can often make a subject appear older. In the picture of Anne Marie, there are no lines in her face and it makes her look a lot younger. Check out the old DC comic Death The lead character has that delicate noir style face. Admittedly, I seem to have the opposite issue, all the women I draw tend look like 15-17 year old girls. It took me four tries to get my NPC Lady Grande to look like she's 53. |

Kyoto, thanks again for the Critique. I guess we all have our weak points and it's good to get feedback on them. I still would love to see some of your work, if you can ever get them scanned.
Currently I have half the characters inked in the long running A-team picture. I also started up a picture with all three of LoreChaser's Characters together, and have that mostly inked. For some reason I feel intimidated by the big A-team picture and hop over to others to give myself a break....Dosen't really make sense I know, but it's how I roll. Anyways expect some more soonish. |

Hoodoo in particular is excellent. He looks quite sufficiently psycho and annoyed at the world. And Dragon certainly is human looking. If he weren't, say, 3 feet taller than his friends, you'd never know he was a troll. ;) Thanks Squinky! Now I gotta break out PS and start colorin'.... |

...just picked up a scanner for free (need to find a driver though) The only thing with my work is that it is all in pencil (which doesn't reproduce very well). With my stiff shaky hands inking is no longer an option. BTW Love "Lorechasers" Nice group pic. I know you have a lot of work still in the queue so this would be a far flung project. Would be kind of neat to see the a Groznek/Grande family portrait, circa 2070 [ Spoiler ] |
