Okay well I've decided to give this a go. I'm looking for NO!!! more players for a game set in the Mile High City, Denver. Currently the group has the following.
(player - character - concept)

Tattered~Seraphim - Alastor - Gun-fu and swords Adept
Anklebiter - Shiver - humble follower of the Lightbringer
MoonWolf - Euryxanthous - Satanist
Dranem - Reg Fuller - Technomancer/Rigger
Thanee - Felice - Firearms specialist
Mister Juan - Sander Jochem - Hitman/Face

The campaign is 450 point build with a couple of houserules on costs of stuff. I'm looking for runners not anything else. I can handle weird shit but I will want discussion to sort it out.

I'm starting simple and will develop from there. No set style as yet I'll see where my players seem to want to take it. As I have a long running SR3 gane that was in denver certain old PCs and NPCs will be about as contacts/mentors (not the spirit sort).

[EDIT] I will try to update this with new players as they are accepted and stuff id finalised rather than doing recaps down in the replies.
[EDIT2] Added Dranem
[EDIT3] Added Thanee
[EDIT4] general stuf and satanist
[EDIT5] updated chars again
[EDIT6] The satanist has a name
[EDIT7] because of pedantic Croats...

Umm.. seeing as you have a lot of magic types already, I guess I won't bother asking for a Technomancer...

So... I have a Face character that I've been pondering on converting from SR3 (she's never been played) Elven Ex-CAS Special Forces, specializes in blending in with nearly any environment. (voice mods, eye mods, can change hair - only problem is that the retinal duplication is not legal for chargen anymore :( )

Would be interesting to play, otherwise I can roll up a decker for you rather quickly.

I would also really like to get involved... if there is room left ;)
I don't currently have a character ready, mainly because I'd like to hear what you guys would need for the team.

I would probably go for something combat oriented. I've almost always played either mages or faces... so I'd love to dabble in that field.

If not, I'd sure like to try my hand at a rigger.

Ok, so that my character doesn't compete (though that would make some interesting character interaction) I'll let him make the Face and I'll cook up an Technomancer. That way we have Matrix/Rigging support - seeing as the group seems to be lacking in that department.

Cool, techno it is from Dranem. Thuggery is the groups definate hole at the mo, as I think Shiver will be faceish.
Dranem send me your basic concept/background and I'll add you to the list.

Sounds interesting. :)

I'm not really fixed to any concept, so if anything is needed, I could certainly aim to provide that. Since you mention 'thuggery', what exactly do you mean with that (skillwise)? B&E? Combat? Well, something along those lines would probably seem like a good idea...

Go for a B+E combat guy.
The only serious "fighter" type so far is Alastor who as an adept will be specialised in close range, so maybe something with longer range and tech skills, though a techno should cover that some.

Mainly combat with some B&E it will be then.

If Mister Juan also makes a combat oriented character (which could very well also be a Rigger), as it sounds above, we should be good then.

Anything we need to know for character generation? Attributes still capped at 200 (just asking, since we start at 450)? House Rules, that come into play here?

att max 225 (1/2 BP as stated in SR4)
Wired reflexs cost changed 15000:nuyen: per level and 1.5 essence per level
3*Cha points of contact for free
Explosive ammo has no AP
Flechette resisted with 2*Impact
Availablity limited to 12 as per normal, but ask if something is approprate to background
Spirits have skill at 3/4 force
Technomancers buy complex forms at 3 points with rating equal to Resonance. Max still Res*2
Karma cost tweaked but unimportant at this stage.

Ok. :)

How about replacing cyberware later (i.e. when you get the cheaper Wired Reflex now, but want the better Synaptic Accelerator later)... can you 'use' the freed Essence again?

For example... you have Wired 2 for 3.0 Essence (no other 'ware) and at some point replace it with Synaptic 2 for 1.0 Essence. Do you then have a total of 4.0 Essence lost? Or 1.0 and 2.0 free to take up other stuff (though your actual Essence remains at 3.0)? Any restrictions on this? The book is rather silent on these matters, unfortunately. ;)

the second options. No restrictions hole left is equal to final loss after modified by 1/2 for being the lower loss bio/cyber.

Another question... Contacts and Cha?

I think you were the one who asked about that in Gretik's game, do you also use this house rule, or not? Or is it so common, that it isn't even really considered a house rules anymore? 8)

Nice. :) That's why I was asking also... would make sense to have some contacts to fit with my background, which - BTW - is finished now.

Ophis:
I'm starting work (finally) on statting Alastor. Well, will be as soon as stupid computer decides to be nice and actually open my copy of the rulebook. I was wondering, how will his SURGE features affect his stats? I need to chat with you about him, on both his his background and statting.

Thanee:
Out of interest, is Fellice interested in any of the underground 'fight club' stuff?

Nah, Felice is not really good at hand-to-hand combat or interested in watching people beat each other up. ;)

Mercenary/Street Sam doesn't quite fit... Felice is pretty much a Firearms Specialist with some Electronics knowledge.

Always a bit difficult to find a fitting name to categorize the combat types. ;)

I'll try to have my character done by the end of the day. I'm just having a rather busy weekend ;)

I'm also going to add a few combat skills to my Face; kinda of a "hitman" sorta guy. Like that, we should be pretty much all set combat wise.

Ah, cool. Nice combo. Alastor's pretty much a straight phys ad combat bunny on the warrior way, with a preference for swords and paired guns. I just wish that I could open the stupid file and be able to do more work on him- I've managad to roughly stat his attributes. Doesn't help much that Alastor's only my 2nd SR char.
