Do I get an initiative bonus for having Detect Enemies up?
If not, my initiative: 4 + 2 (1D6 roll) = 6 |

Oh yes, you most defintly get your bonus. You are infact in a position to act first (because you where aware of their intentions before they started to show them.)
So first action goes to Mal. |

Casting Control Thoughts, Force 5, on the leader (the guy with the assault rifle).
Dice: 5 dice (Sorcery) + 5 dice (Spell Pool) = 10 dice 1, 1, 3, 4, 4, 4, 5, 5, 5, 13 Drain Resistance test (Drain Code: 3S): Dice: 5 (Willpower): 3, 3, 4, 4, 5 So I have a Light Stun wound now from the Drain. |

First action'll be to drop to captain's chair mode (simple I think, I'll check at home), and then order one of the IWS's to do deck (simple).
I'll post an IC post once we get an initative order, don't want to get out of order *8-> |

FYI, I'm waiting on the GM's verdict on whether or not I succeeded before I say what I make this guy do.

Actually, I just went through SR3 again, and casting spells is a complex action, so it would appear I'm out of actions for my turn.

Id say giving your suject a command would be a free action, unless other wise specified. Which he would of course do on his init pass.
Chance, best you could get was a matrix download knock off (aka free) but its only rating 1, so if you had it sloted, you got a healthy handfull of the words. Mal 0 (having gone first) #3Goon will be acting on 10 fyi. Sam 9 Spikes 25 Hank 15 Zip 11 Solomon 14 Everyone but Sam has an action before I have any input. |

Alright, then the order I'm giving to him is to tell his men to drop their weapons and get in the van. He'll give the order with his rifle pointed to one of their heads.

K I'll be going with the actions above then, ie drop to captain's mode mode and order one of the armed IWS up onto deck.

Its gonna take the IWS a while to get on deck from below , even with 2 arms and tracks, its not especally stair friendly.
Just remember hunter, that he will be doing that on HIS action, not yours, so from the looks of it, it may not matter. For those of you who are on deck, you can easly find 2 points of cover with no action, 4 if you move a bit. Mal has done his command thing. Spikes has dropped into chair and moved a drone Hank has dived for cover (4pts) and pulled his pistol. Solomon will be putting 3 into goon #1s chest Zip, well we dont know what he is doing. Goon #3 points his rifle at Goon #2 Sam is delaying action? As soon as I get an action from Glyph Ill post IC what goes down. From the looks of this it will be over this round. The Plan |

Good thing we have that map; I had a slightly different picture in my head (I thought the three goons were bunched together).

"s why I decided to use it. I TRY and get good discriptions out, but I have the problem of them making much more sense to me, then to any one else.

Ziptide will fire a stunball at the two goons near Solomon (i.e. not the one in the truck). He will cast it at 6D and empty out his spell pool - possibly overkill, but this is a one-off confrontation, so he figures he can just sleep off the Drain.
6 Sorcery plus 6 Spell Pool: 09, 09, 08, 05, 05, 05, 04, 02, 02, 01, 01, 01. Drain (4D): 08, 05, 04, 03, 02, 02 (He takes Serious Stun). |

Mr. Pythagoras tells he that Sam has a clear shot a Goon 2, Solomon, and Hank but the van blocks Goon #3 from her fight and the crate blocks Goon #1.
Since she knows that there are two other goons and can see Solomon firing at one of them Sam is going to make a called shot to goon #2's right knee, hoping that there is enough loyality and enough stupidity between the goons that #1, #3, or both will come running to his aid and provide her with a clean shot at them. She will be using the Smartlink 2, of course. Gyrojet Test 07 05 05 04 01 |

Alright, next chance I get I make him jump in the water and drown himself.
That'll probably call for a contested Willpower roll, given the Control Thoughts rules. |
