I think so, but it was a short round. The true test will come later, no doubt, but for a first run I think it went smoothly. |

Yeah, I think so, too. Of course, in most other circumstances, Zip wouldn't go for such an all-out attack, and would balance attack vs. spell defense vs. Drain.

I didn't really contribute because I saw what people were going to do in on the OCC thread and didn't want to try and jump over someone else. Hank will be kicking himself on the IC thread for not having established comm with everyone. Other than that I thought it went well.

I'm assuming that Sam's shot couldn't have causes a deadly wound due to it being a called shot to a nonvital location. (The rules don't explicitly permit a called shot to lower the damage code but it is implicit with the availability of a called shot to raise a damage code.)
Perception test for Searching Goon #2 08 07 04 01 The combat went well but it is obviously slow. It might be very difficult to use this style over multiple cambat turns. The map was certainly a great help. |

Just a suggestion:
How about we post, here, what our characters look like (basic stuff). In PbP games, I always end up forgetting which character's the troll, which one's the dwarf, etc. So how's about we just put our characters' basic appearances right here for the sake of convenience? I'll start: Mal - Human, Caucasian, about 6'0", brown hair and eyes, wears a brown trenchcoat |

I thought the fight system was working, well as well as any forum combat does *8->, the only way I can see of making them faster is if everyone just posts in OOC what they're action is for the round and let Lindt handle all the IC posting... prob is it drops a load of work on Lindt *8-<
As for description: Spikes: Human, about 5'9", green eyes, no hair at all, middling build with the beginnings of middle age spread, covered head to toe in shiny black reptilian scales which are crosshatched (like noughts and crosses board) in white scales. Bone spurs also have erupted all over his body with his clothing tailor to handle them comfortably. Generally wearing ship board overalls (smartish) unless the situation recommends otherwise. |

I dont mind the writing. Hell, as long as you all know what your going to do, the more you give me the more I can do. (if this makes no sense, I blame it on the anti-allergy meds).

Do I need a firearms roll for that killing shot, or do you just want to call it?

Cu-de gra.
As a general note, I dont like having to roll dice unless I HAVE to. It slows things down. Killing someone who is sleeping, and in this case at 6 into his physical track, is an action that dosent need dice involved. *Edit* Eh heh heh... This post has been edited by Lindt: May 8 2006, 04:25 PM |

Yeah, I figured a die roll wasn't needed; just thought I'd ask first. |

Don't mind me, I'm just putting up the basic character descriptions here so people know who they're talking to (like I said, I for one forget quite often).
If I get anything wrong, let me know and I'll edit this post to change it -Mal - Caucasian human, about 6'2", brown hair, brown eyes, brown trenchcoat -Hank - Tanned ork, about 6'5", black hair, gray eyes -Spikes - Black reptilian-scaled human, about 5'9" with bone spurs -Ziptide - Lightly tanned human, sea-green hair, tall -Sam - Albino Night One with fish-like scales and tail, height unknown Anyone I forgot? |

Quick look around in the van for the autopilot
Perception: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8 (oooo, Yatzee) Then assuming no one objects and there's an autopilot he'll set the autopilot to travel about the city with three to four stops at pier, warehouses and the like for about 5-10 mins each and then back to the rental place. |

Oh, you do find a cred stick. Certified. And a spare clip for the AK thats clutched in the hands of one of the goons in the harbor.

You should always loot the bodies.... oh wait that's in D&D.... erm *8->
Anyhoo post's up, Spikes can handle up to encrypt 6 but we'll need to pick one that everyone can handle *8-> Oh and I see Spikes getting a lot of messages from the drones when we hit open water til he manages to take a look see and knock vessels off the 'to look out for' list for the drones *8-> |

Aye, you'll be busy with that. Its ~300 miles of high traffic water during the middle of the day. The advantage is that the boat your on has a smaller signature section then the drones your using (funny that, a 100' long sailboat having a small radar cross section. just another broken bit I suppose)

Hmmmm, might have to tune it down to within 20 miles or so.... not sure that'll be worth it though.... heyho I'll have a think, or just use the boat's sensors (which are actually better than the condor's *8->) I'd set them to just warn me of armed vessels but I don't think the dog brains in them is good enough for that *8-<
