No, you need Software as a hacker to write your own code and crack programs that have copy-protection on them. As a technomancer, you use it to thread complex forms.

I see what my mistake was. Went home and looked it up. The errata is for interacting with sprites. (they replaced software with compiling). I had assumed it applied to threading as well, which is my mistake.
Threading: Software 3: 5 5 4 Resonance 5: 5 5 3 2 1 Fading: Willpower 3: 5 2 1 Resonance 5: 5 4 3 2 1 (large straight :D) I believe this gives me a level 4 complex form sustained. So I need a fading resistance of 4 success to take no stun damage. Got 2, leaving me with 2 boxes of stun. Am I right? Assuming so, my hacking is as follows: Electronics Warfare 5: 4 4 3 1 Scan 4: 6 5 1 -2 for sustained complex form Hacking 5: 5 4 3 3 1 Exploit 5: 6 5 2 2 1 Would like to use my second of four services with my crack sprite to assist me. Again, not sure if this entire process is a single attempt (not including the threading) so I will post the rolls seperately. If I had to choose only one roll to be augmented, I'll choose the EW+Scan test. Rating 5 Crack Sprite: EW + Scan: 6 5 4 3 2 Hack + Exploit: 5 5 4 4 2 Total Success for Scan the Pan: 4 Total Success for Hack the Line: 3 (5 with Crack Sprite assistance) |

I just got the schedual for work for the remainder of the week. Although I'll probably pop my head in anyways, don't expect a peep out of me until the weekend. Sorry.
(Blitz, I'll look it up, but my gut says a Crack sprite wouldn't be much help on an EW test.) |

Ah...I think you may be right. I have other sprites, but I really dont want to use more than one service :)
I'll look it up when I get home and post so you wont have to. |

Well, Blitz, since you succeeded without the sprite, let's pretend it was never involved, and please see the IC thread for results.
Also, the computer fairy visited me, and turned my computer into a broken computer. Given the lacidasical pace of this game, you guys might not even notice, but my updating will be only what I can beg, borrow, or steal until payday. This also means I won't have access to your character sheets, so you can't expect me to know anything that's on them without you telling me first until the Lappy is up and running again. |

The pace is slow, but the game enjoyable, and I like your style. I'm cool. 8)

ok... so i just wanna ask a quick question. In terms of time-wise, are we getting these messages on our comms very early, like in 2 mins? or are we getting them as we're getting ready to board the train...

Right now we seem to be travelling alongside, poised to boards as soon as an excuse and way presents itself, which it has not, yet.

So:
a) good excuse for mucking around with the train, as per request, please. 2) Shall we throw the train-stopping switch and make with the show on the road? |

A) and 2).... can i pick.. B? :P
And I think so, Blitz... yea... make something happen to the train so our syrin (sp?) can have probable reason. (Hopefully, her stunningness will make him not really think too much anyway, but hey, we can use all the power at our disposal) |
