Oh yes, people do think he is mentally defficient, and currently he is.
Here is what would happen ideally statwise (still need to talk to our ST about this)
He true AI has an undefined set of matrix stats, we can assume they would be freaking massive, since he is, well, an AI.
Now, normally a TM matrix stats=his mental stats with no stat greater then his Resonance.
In this case the mental stats would be a reflection of the AI matrix stats, however still limited by the resonace, and also the effective matrix stats would be capped by resonance. Why? because the mental stats are a reflection of the feed between the AI and the mind of the sammie-wannabe. This degree of this connection is described by the resonance. There is then a look where, because the consiousness is being so limited by resoance, the TM AI cannot understand his own nature enough to use CF/have matrix stats higher then his resonance. Ergo as his resonace increases, so does his mental attributes, complex forms, and matrix stats.
Of course, this is currently theory and CERTAINLY not game balanced. I will have to discuss how to balance it with our dear GM and again I repeat that this is how it would work ideally, imho. CHeers and smiles
DV
P.S. please note that he has greatly matured and does now understand personal property, nuyen, decentcy, etc. as well as has a personality of his own.

Aku, after reading up on dragons, in both Dragons of the Sixth World, and the SR4 core book, I've come to the conclusion that your dragon will have to be watered down significantly, so to speak.

I'm working off of a template I created for drake characters back in SR4 but obviously making it more powerful, with in reason, because otherwise there would be no point to any other character even owning a weapon. I'm going to PM you what I'm thinking so we can start the process of coming to a compromise about how your sheet will work.

As a side note, according to the SR4 corebook, only great dragons have a meta form, which obviously I'm going to have to bend a little because there is no way I'm letting a PC in my game that's a great dragon, when I use them I don't even make sheets, I just say they have every spell at 4D6.

So what I'm thinking is your dragon could have been, at one time a great, but fought with another great or several others, and were severly weaked.

Hmm, a Hacker and AI, interesting.

Just to let you see Avenger's Background.....
This is a bit old... and I've probably have to add a couple more years of history in there... since with the SR4 BP system... he comes out MUCH stronger than I had intended... so add a few more years of serious Running... a couple more trips under the knife to gain MORE POWER! and a newly much more professional attitude.... you've got AV

Son of a mafia hitman he was raised in a strict Italian household. He always had a good way with people and always seemed to have many friends by his side. He had a very joyous childhood as he was growing up, getting a very catholic education by attending local catholic schools he excelled in classes and was adored by his mother. He had very little idea of what his father truly did, however he could tell that he was connected to the mafia as he often had to attend “family reunions” where he would have to dress nicely and go off to meet with his extended family. As the men talked the children were often told to play outside.
At an early age Vinny got into mechanics and electronics. He would often help his father around the house doing little things like fix the computer, fix the satellite, fixing even the mother’s car sometimes. Vinny’s father’s car however was untouchable.
He was always a prankster as a kid, setting off fireworks in schools, stealing, and conning people for fun. Soon at 10 years old he created a little “club” for himself, he called them Vinny’s boys. He was always pretty tough for a small kid and soon gained respect in the streets of Ocean City, New Jersey. But still, he never did anything truly bad and all the neighboring adults knew who he was and laughed with him as he continued to be a prankster. However, his behaviour was shunned in school. And therefore also shunned by his mother. When he turned 12, he heard terrible news, that his mother had died in a car accident. He went and saw that her mother had veered off of the road and crashed into a little gully. He soon began to spend a lot more time with his father, who became a lot more protective than before. He began to teach his son about playing in sports including basketball and baseball. He took him on trips out to the woods and taught him a bit how to camp, on canoeing trips and other things that he thought a young man should know.
On his 13th birthday he privately gave him an “extra” present, a Colt Manhunter. It was a brand new gun and thought that his son should learn how to protect himself. Vinny didn’t seem to understand, however he did join his father at the shooting range every now and then to begin his practice. About 2 months after his birthday his father took him on one last trip. They went back to the spot that Vinny’s mother had died. That moment was very momentous for Vinny.
“Why are we here dad? I don’t like this place….” Vinny asked as he sat in the car staring out at the road.
“I have to show you something,” he opened his door and waited for Vinny to come to his side. “Your mother did not have an accident. She was murdered,” Vinny began to open his mouth but his father held up a hand. “Wait, there’s more.... The reason your mother went out that day was because she did me a favour by going to get something that I was supposed to get. I hated dragging her into doing things, however she always insisted on doing as much for me as she could.” A few tears begin to well up in his cold steel face as Vinny looked on in shock. “She went to Uncle Salvador’s house to pick up a very important package. She called me on her cell to tell me she was on her way back….” Vinny began to choke back the tears after having to remember her mother, however he would not disrespect his father by not listening. He met his father’s eyes as the man began to talk again. “When the police searched the car, the item she picked up was gone. Your mother was murdered by someone trying to get that package. Now that you know I have more bad news. I am leaving tonight for Atlantic City by myself. It seems that the package has shown up there. You understand why I have to go don’t you?”
“Yes, father. I understand.” Vinny looked his father in the eyes as his father took him in his arms. “Good luck and God speed.” He muttered through tears as his father hugged him close. That night they drove back in silence.
After tucking Vinny in for the night, his father began making preparations. Vinny couldn’t sleep and was listening to his father. At times he heard familiar sounds of zipping up luggage, and a clip being filled and put into a gun, and then the loading of the trunk. Vinny sneaked his way out to the front porch and around to the garage. As he stood there watching, he saw his father stand up and turn around and look at him. “Go home son, you’re not ready yet.” Surprised his father could see him, he stood up, nodded and went back inside. A week later he received something the mail. He opened it and it read. “If this is being received by you, Vincente. Then there is still some hope. I hope I can see you soon, however you must do me a favor, bring this back to Uncle Bill, do not contact him using any phone or anything, just go there. He’ll know what to do with it. I hope I am able to come back to. With love, Your father.”
As soon as he reached his Uncle Bill’s house, Uncle Bill took him in quickly. He told Vinny that it was a treasured family item in that package, and that it was worth millions of dollars. Then he told Vinny that he had bad news. That his father had died in Atlantic City. After the funeral, many of the family members gave him little gifts of money as well as consoling him. He went back to his Uncle Bill’s house. His Uncle sat him down and talked to him, but Vinny lost his usual smiling self, and had already made up his mind with what to do. Bill sat down and said to him, “I’m sorry about this, but this is a message from the family. You have two options, one you can come work for the family, and we will give you a place to stay, food to eat, and clothes to wear. We’ll make sure that you are cared for if you come work for us. Or, you can walk away from all this, and go out into the world on your own. I know this is a tough decision, but….” Before he could finish, Vinny, no Avenger, stood up and walked out of the door.
From there on Avenger bummed his way out of town up to Denver. He had heard that Denver is a source of opportunity for anyone, and went up there. He learned to live on the streets of Denver, outrun security from all types of places. To con free meals, money, and other materials from people. He learned to live off of the streets by conning, cheating, and stealing. He began to make new friends on the streets of Denver, and even picked up a few people who would care for him. One man was named John. John was the owner of a rundown pawn shop. He’d often give money or a meal to Avenger for fixing something that was pawned to him as a broken electronic gadget. Avenger learned the intricacies of electronics and computers through tinkering. He still went to the shooting range every now and then to make sure he had his shooting skill, however he began getting a lot of real experience with it as well. Another friend of his was someone else off the streets that he began to make friends with, Kiseki Sakura. They became drinking buddies, as well as lifting, workout, and other things. They were essentially very good friends who did a lot together. It was through her that Avenger got his first job as a shadowrunner.
Sakura went by the name of Whiskers. She was usually the better fighter especially in bar fighting, and they would go to a local gym together to work out, lift weights, and also box a little. Sakura began calling Avenger Avie, a little nickname, and would introduce him as “my little brother, Avie.” Avie resented that although Whiskers was about 6 years older than him. She taught him how to move, and read opponents movements in melee combat. They would often box together and Avie was quickly learning the ways to fight, although he had no technique, he was able to figure out how to dodge and attack by reading the opponent. His inner drive for strength was masked with enthusiasm as he worked hard at living off of the streets and fighting for his own stuff. His hesitance to fight or to pull out his gun were slowly disappearing as the years went on. By the time he was 16 he began to be a warm hearted friend by day, and a cold eyed professional by night. As Avenger and Whiskers went on to do more shadowruns together, he began to gain more knowledge of breaking through electronics systems and working with computers. However, to his surprise Whiskers had many more skills that she had not shown him, the ability to use explosives, as well as throwing stars and the ability to use different tactics to achieve a goal.
Avie’s sense of professionalism came from Whiskers, who also taught him how to use mines and explosives to do what needed to be done. He began to learn that not everything is what it seems, and there is always more than one way to skin a cat. Soon Whiskers passed on another secret. She had a mentor when she was young as well, and introduced him to her. Her mentor went by the alias, Herbert. Herbert was a Japanese elf that looked very mysterious. Cast away for being an elf, after he was caught in a little hidden town in the woods of Japan, he moved to UCAS. He was also a mercenary for many of the companies in Japan, and was trained as a fighter as well. He didn’t carry any firearms any more, however he was still very nimble as he is an elf and is blessed with a very long life span. The man like Avenger right off the bat and began to watch over both Whiskers and Avie. He decided that he wanted to take the two on as actual pupils now that they were both old enough to train under his tutelage. He thought that perhaps Avie was a little young, but his ability to learn was amazingly fast. Also, the pair worked well together, seeing each other as rivals and friends as they began their training together. He brought them to his house in a quite area of Vermont. While undergoing training, Herbert often made them do menial tasks that tried Avie’s patience. There were two other pupils that Herbert had with him at the house who were a bit more advanced than Avie and Whiskers. They were showing techniques and skills and training that Avie and Whiskers were not allowed to do. Avie was getting upset, and began to doubt the value of the training.
Avie kept on remembering the last words his father ever said to him, “Go home son, you’re not ready yet.” He knew that he had to gain strength in order to avenge his parents deaths. And he could not just do it by doing simple tasks and chores. One night, he was attempting to sneak away from the house when by the road, Herbert came up in front of him. “Why are you leaving?” Herbert asked.
“I’m sorry, but I have to be doing something.” Avie said apologizing to Herbert before continuing his walk.
“Oh? Is that so? And what might that be? You believe you can avenge your parents already?” Herbert said with a chuckle.
Avie froze. His hair seemed to spike and the wind began to blow as he slowly turned around to look this elf in the eye. “What do you know?” he asked beginning to gain more respect for the elf.
“Oh I know a lot, and believe me I can help you.” Herbert knelt down to pick a flower and then stood up to give it to Avenger. “Please, I think you are a decent kid, and I think I can help you go down the right path. There are many ways that your story can go, I’d like to help you along the way. Have patience, and I will teach you much.” With that Herbert turned to leave. “The choice is yours.” He says as he begins the walk back to the house.
Avenger stood in the street for a while, and with a resigning sigh he went back to the house. He remembered how young he was, however he still wanted to be the one to bring whoever did this down, the one to avenge the death of his parents. That day he swore to himself, “I will avenge my parents death, I alone will take back what they have taken from me, I alone will regain the honor of my family. I will not be dependent on anything, only myself.”
That next year he spent in the house in Vermont surrounded by woods. He trained, sparred, and learned as much as he could. Herbert had learned the ancient art of ninjustu, as well as studied Tai Chi and Tae Kwan Do. He taught that to his disciples. As well as the skills of throwing weapons, blade fighting, and other things. The disciples learned discipline, patience, thinking on your feet, as well as planning. Avie has adapted Herbert’s fighting style into his own, focusing on being precise, and gaining ones goals when needed: submission, advantageous positioning, or devastating attack.
After one year, Herbert went up to Avenger and said, “I cannot teach you much more for now, you have learned most of my techniques to a fairly clear precision, have almost mastered the art of melee combat. When you need me again, I will find you, but now go. Leave this place as well as your friends, for on your path right now, you need to learn more skills through experience, however where you are going may not be the place for your current friends, they have what it takes, but they don’t have the mental readiness. Unfortunately you do. It was nice to have met you, we will see each other again.”
That night, a plane ticket to Seattle was left on the dresser, along with 30,000 nuyen on a fake credstick, and a message saying “Go seek Dr. Drew. He will have a gift for you.”
Upon arriving at Seattle, Dr. Drew was easy enough to find as his name was already big on the streets. Once he got there, Dr Drew immediately welcomed him in. “Ah, so you are Herbert’s friend! It’s been such a long time to see a friend of his come out here like this. Now, he told me all about your dislikes of relying on electrical devices for support, in fact he has told me that it’s because you can make them fail so quickly that you know they can’t be trusted. I tend to agree, with the exceptions that anything I install you have my guarantee, free check-ups. free Tune-ups, and guaranteed reliability. Now then, moving along, I am Dr. Drew, Street Doc by night, Good old fashioned Surgeon by day. Well, anyway, would you like to know what Herbert wanted me to install in you?”
“Install in me? Cyberware? Me? I don’t think so, chum.”
“Herbert said you wouldn’t like it… but he said it’d be an amazing thing for you, and that you’d love it… He said to tell you that this would be a necessary evil you would need to install to accomplish all of your goals…. So? What’ll it be? Do you trust ‘ole Herbert?”
“He’s helped me a lot so far, I might as well.”
Since then, he has been a much more devastatingly effective runner, the ability to think and fight, and the ability to act quicker, and going through a few more serious shadowruns have given him the ability to become a true shadowrunner.
After 2 more years of Shadowrunning, he now has gained a small reputation for himself as a qualified thief as well as other talents, and now lives in a fairly nice apartment in the Seattle area. His goals more than half-realized, he has begun to search the streets for ways to improve his skills, and to also begin his quest for his parent’s murderers.”

(More History)

During the early days after my awakening from my slumber, i began to notice i was weaker than i had remembered. I was still able to appear as a metahuman, which i had done in ages past, when the populace feared me as a "great" dragon, one so terrifying that even those brave enough to call themselves "dragonhunters" dared not approach me. But the endings of my days in the 4th age were a haze to me, and it was that fact that set me on this path of "shadowrunning" where i quickly found some stories that seemed like they were or could be about me.

Att he end of the 4th age, there was a coup among dragons. One of them seemingly committed acts againist the populace to some other dragons, that they attacked him in his own lair, and through sheer numbers, were able to pin him down and bind atleast some of his powers, despite the waning age of magic. They also stole his momeries of the attack, and as the magic waned away at the end of the 4th age, he attributated that to the loss of his powers...

So your char is a dragon from Earthdawn who pissed off other dragons and got sealed. He knows he's a dragon but is he trapped in the Homo Sapian form? He also has none of his dragon powers Im guessing?
Wonder what his additude will be like to the rest of the team...

Konsaki, I think he'll still have his dragony form (correct me if I'm wrong Aku), I've modified stats, and while it might be a cut above a troll, it is still not even on the same level as a regular dragon, something about strength 35 didn't sit well with me...

right, still got the dragon form, but not something i'm going to be yanking out at every corridor wide enough to hold me. Really, i think i've got a douplicity thing going on. He enjoys "being a dragon"but yet is also fascinated by his victims, metahumans, and that is why he's chosen to do some running, while also learning abuut this "curse" and if he can unseal himself...

I haven't gotten three more chacacters, but I still have this urge to recap those that I have.

Aku - ? (dragon)
Cogar - Gorerak "Gore" Gregson (troll treasure hunter)
Rokur - Vincent "Avenger" "Avie" "Vinny" ? (human thief)
Adamu - Alouicious "Al" Guthrie (human handyman)
Xane - Jason "Jack Frost" Williams (ex-lonestar)
GingerKid - "Patch" (Chromed Combat Medic)
Divine Virus - ? (AI)
Shadow - "Trace" (ex FBI Magic Investigator)
Konsaki - Konsaki Xean (hacker)
Alex - Theodore "Preacher" "Pops" Boudreaux (fallen priest)

[edit] I have fixed gingerkid's character description and added alex making the total number 10 [/edit]

That's nine characters from my count, three more than I need, so to make my job that much easier, I need you all, even if I've already had you do it, send me your character's long term and short term goals, in a PM, so I can lay them out and see how I can tie you all together even if in game terms, you've just met(which is completely up to you btw).

Also again if you see that your name is not on the list or that I still have your old character by your name, tell me. And if you see a question mark, in your line, that means I don't have the piece of information, I don't know what the names of the dragon and the AI are, and I don't have avenger's real last name. the latter may seem un important, but it is very useful.

Also Divine virus, give me the AI's name and the name of who's body he inhabits(you may have said it, i just missed it).

I construct my runs in a way that things come back and fold in on one another, which is one reason I require a good background.

Name: (Father) Theodore Boudreaux
Former Profession: Catholic Priest
Aliases: Preacher / Pops

Born Theodore Maddux Boudreaux in New Orleans, Pops, began life with an intense desire to give back to his community. During his First Communion, he decided that he would become a priest and assist in the advancement of God’s work to the best of his ability. Aside from the typical scrapes with authority as he grew up none doubted that he would enter the Seminary and become a great priest. His family was as proud as they could be with his decision. After spending several years in a nearly non-existent town called Reform, Alabama he was called back to New Orleans to serve in a newly created Parish where he met Jonathon and Mary Jordan. They were newly-weds who needed a lot of help and counsel and he enjoyed working with them. It was during an afternoon session that Father Boudreaux realized that he had feelings for Mary that were not appropriate for a priest. He fasted and prayed for relief from his temptation; however, it never came. He resorted to flagellation in an effort to control his impulses. This seemed to work.

One day, while oficiating in Penance and Reconciliation (confession), he took the confession of Jonathon who indicated that he was having an affair and that his wife knew nothing about it. Father Boudreaux could barely contain his anger and instructed the young man to disclose this fact to his wife (among other things) before he could receive absolution. Father Boudreaux following Jonathon towards his home only to see Jonathon pass up his home without entering and go directly to the home of his mistress. Father Boudreaux, upon seeing the flagrant disregard for God’s Laws took matters into his own hands and ensured that the adulturers were put to death as was done in the Old Testament. When authorities came to the scene he surrended without a word. He admitted his guilt; however, he gave no reason for his actions, believing that to break the Seal of the Confessional would cause a greater curse to be placed on his soul.

Father Boudreaux was de-frocked and excommunicated for his crime. While in prison he received the name “Preacher” because of his constandly repeated attempts to convert those in prison; however, few listened because of his crime. Those that did always remembered him as a wonderful influence on them and those aroudn them. After a while, he lost the will to serve in the capacity that he once had done. His faith wavered over time and he began to doubt the existence of God. While the Ten Commandments stayed with him as general guiding principle he never thought of them as he had while he was a priest.

After leaving prison, Pops, went to the local church to confess his sins, but found that he felt no remose for what he had done. Nor did he see that he needed the approval of another for him to live his life. This combined with his growing lack of faith pushed him to decided that God’s existence was entirely depended on the subconscious. With a record such as his, Pops decided to pull up stakes and say good-bye to the only land that he truly loved and make his way to a new place where he was an unknown.

Ultimatley, after some time in Denver, he made his way to Seattle. In Denver he was able to learn the art of smuggling, fencing and appraising. He greatest skill is in reading people. In Seattle he has made a friend or two given the short amount of time he has been in the area. He met Davin Grey looking for a good place to have drink. While he and Davin have little in common, they have a friendly relationship. He also met Alex while at a Meseum trying to remember what he finer things in life are. Alex points him in the direction of those that might need the services of someone who can project the level of trust that he seems to able to turn on without trying. This younger group decides that they will call him “Pops” as he is old enough to be a father to all of them and a grandfather to others.

Pops excells at getting other people to do what he wants done and convincing them that he is doing them a favor by letting them do it. After so many years, Pops is beginning to venture out into the world of dating.. He also has been having thoughts that perhaps he shouldn’t be on the path that he is headed down. Nevertheless he is torn between the life he has now and trying to go back to the life that he had before. (He doesn’t realize it yet but he will have to deal with the deaths of Jonathan and mistress and his true motivation before he will be whole.)

Pops’ short term goals are to save up a litle so that he can take a break and enjoy a few rounds with friends. Longer term he is looking for the purpose in life that he lost.

NOTE: I’m half-asleep (maybe more) so I am not responsible for spelling errors, even with Spell-check.

I’ll get you the character sheet tomorrow – make that later today: I just checkd the time.

QUOTE (Kiedo)
GingerKid - "Patch" (Orc Combat Medic)

Patch is human. And because I like writing about him, here is the story of how he entered (or reentered depending on how you look at it) the shadows.

It’s been a year since I got the PPR (Patch’s People Repair) up and running. Business hasn’t been that great, but then again it could be worse. On the upside Morey has shown to be a real asset. Aside from being a decent doctor, his hobbies as a computer guy and mechanic have proven most useful. Then again he’s a lot smarter than any orc I’ve ever heard of… No… what’s in his past doesn’t matter. Stop thinking about it. The present and his actions are what matter. He really contributes a lot. Maybe I should make him a partner. He cares about this place as much as I do. Guess it’s a second chance for the both of us.

Later that night Patch was awoken by a strange sound. Morey and he regularly slept in the back rooms of the PPR. Heck they lived there more than there regular places. Cautiously looking out into the main room Patch saw some gangers rifling through his stuff. They’re stealing from me. Well they are pretty stupid. Not taking anything expensive. Best just to let them go then get better security later.

At that moment Patch saw Morey lying on the floor. He had been shot and was bleeding pretty badly. Damn it why did they have to hurt the kid! He only ever helped people. Patch went into a cold controlled rage. Summoning his shadier skills from his past, Patch crept out onto the floor. In a silent grisly fashion, he gutted every last ganger. While carrying out his work, Patch recognized one of the gangers. It was a client that Morey had patched up earlier that weak, the bastard.

Patch worked into the night fixing up Morey. It was touch and go for a while, but in the end he knew the kid would pull through. Late in the evening of the next day Morey woke up.

“Patch…”
“Yeah kid, I’m here.”

“Burglars…”

“Don’t worry about them kid. They won’t bother us any more.”

“Sorry about”

Patch put a reassuring hand on Morey’s should. “Quiet now. You need to rest.” Morey closed his eyes and went back to sleep.

Patch spent the next evening dropping the bodies of the gangers at the front door of there hang-out. The next morning he paid a visit to Stubbs. “Stubbs how ya doin.”

“Patch. Good to see you. What can I do for you.”

“Got a special order today Stubbs.” Patch hands over a paper, and Stubbs whistles.

“That’s some hefty hardware, but it’s good you’re upping your security.”

“Yeah, had a run in a couple of nights ago, but those punks won’t be bothering anyone anymore. Made me realize though, that I wanted some added protection.”

Recognition dawned on Stubbs as the story of the mutilated gangers had been on the trid that morning. “Well, the drone will take me a few weeks. And Patch, People will know why they shouldn’t bother you like that anymore.”

The next couple of weeks Morey recovered, Fluffy arrived (don’t know why the kid named him that), and word got around somehow not to mess around at the PPR. One day Morey approached Patch while he was working. “Patch, I heard about what happened to the people who shot me. Will you teach me.”

“You don’t want to learn to be a killer kid. Besides we have Fluffy now.”

“No, I don’t, and it’s good to have Fluffy, but I want to learn how to defend myself.”

“I figured you would.” Patch walked over to a locker and took out the new AK-97 he had bought from Stubbs. “Kid, this is Lilly. You will learn to care for her. You will learn to use her. Treat her right and she will help you out in sticky situations.”
.
.
.
A couple of weeks later Patch got a call from Stubs. “Hey Patch. I have this guy who is interested in your skills for a job he has. He was really impressed by your previous work shown on the trid. His name is Mr. Johnson.”

Patch couldn’t believe his ears. No he was done with that. He was a doctor now. Then almost unconsciously his bank account popped up in his vision next to Stubbs. “Where do I meet this Mr. Johnson?” Only until I have enough clients and money to keep PPR up and running.

My final selection, will be some time friday, after I make my final choice I will post the OOC and the IC will probably go up monday.

Also for all of you whom I haven't told, I have modified the build point cap to 500, which you have the option of spending as post build karma, if you like, which can be spent to initiate or submerge, or any other thing I can't think of that can only be done post build. But I would like to caution you not to make you sheet uber, I have no problem with this but it just might make the game less fun for everyone, those of you I've already decided on I know just be talking with you and reading your backgrounds you are not munchkins, so I have no problem with uber characters, but in the spirit of roleplaying, just keep it from being too powerful.

Yes the cap is still there so if you want those extra points for attributes, you'll have to convert the extra 100 points to Karma and go that route, which is one reason I gave you the option, this has a way of limiting how uber the characters can become, which in the spirit of the game I think will be better in the long run.

No, but you can use them as build points and get money that way, unless you've maxed out at 250,000 :nuyen: and then I have to ask, what could you possibly need that much money for, you only have so much essence(and if it were me I'd be saving plenty of room to upgrade my wired reflexes once the game had commenced, which you will have time for, I hadn't planned on this being a "one shot" run, though you can really tell were one "run" ends and another begins), you can only buy so many guns and bullets, your not magical so you can't use foci, and as far as I know theres no way you can get enough money for a thunderbird. So what does he need all that money for? Unless maybe you were thinking, since I said stuff you can only do post build, the starting character availability is waved for things purchased with karma (which is not the case).

If you tell me, preferably in a PM or email, what you plan to spend the money on, unless again you were thinking of things with availabilities of above 12, then I'll try to come to some type of conpromise with you.

Simple. Synaptic boosters. Those things cost a fortune, thought they are, imho completely worth it.

Biowere gets real expenseive real fast

Muscle aug and toner 2: 30k(0.8 essence)
Bone desity 3: 60k (0.9 essence)
Synaptic booster 1: 80k (0.5 essence)
Orthoskin 2: 50k (0.5 essence)
Total:
230k (2.7 essence)

OR:
Muscle replacment 2: 10k (2 essence)
titanium bone lacing: 40k (1.5 essence) [unavailable at chargen]
wired replfexes 1: 11k (2 essence)
Durmal plateing 2: 10k (1 essence)
Total:
71k (6.5 essence=dead street sammi)
142k (5.2 essence) if its alpha

Of course, a wise investor will get alpha for cyberwear, but it will still be a better deal to get the bio. a truely smart sammie will get a mix of both bio and cyber, keeping the essence loss from each as close to each other as possible.
