Am I able to disengage locks or alarms from the security system access that I obtained?

Mostly solidifying what you have told us in your previous post Green. After returning to the hole Slyph will either retire for the evening into the other cot or chat with Jill some more depending on her response to his charm.

I'm taking a look around the house in astral while we're nearby. Aside from the preiminary glimpse we got, while the van is stopped I'm astrally projecting to go around the house and look around, using any solid objects or living plants as astral cover, in case any watchers are looking out the windows for intruders. I'm not going to try and enter the place now, as I don't want to tip any astral guards off before we actually strike. If everything I can see looks clear, we can plan for any other magical contingencies as we come across them.

No, need to hack them individually.
You can describe it in your post about not running into anything magical around the outside of the house. |

I'm kinda curious about what's on everybody's minds right now. You, the players.
To me, it doesn't seem like anyone is that excited about where the mission is going so far. There doesn't seem to be quite enough gold at the end of the rainbow, if you catch my drift. Now if there were some intrigue, action orprospect of future development of the team as a whole, maybe we'd be more motivated, no? Think about it, what happens after we steal the gun? We hand it over and get paid. From what I can tell breaking into the place isn't going to be hard and getting out probably won't be either. There's not really a challenge ahead of us, we're just going through the motions. What's the fun in that? If we had a real tough nut to crack, i bet there'd be more activity. If we were in immediate danger, I bet there'd be more action and excitement. If there were some scary underlying story, would we be more interested in moving things along? I know our GM has been having computer trouble, that's fine. There's no fault in that. But I'm afraid of two things here. One, that this will never pan out because the end in sight doesn't seem worth working towards. Or two, that the end actually won't be worth working towards and we trudge through it only to be disapointed. I'm ready and willing to do my part to make things interesting. I'll dig for info on the gun, on the owner, on the gun's former owner. But I'm afraid that there's nothing to be found under the surface. Is there a catch? Is there a twist? Are the origin's of the gun worth finding? What does this run truly have in store for us? I'm not hatin', I'm just being a little critical in light of the progress we have made. I am new to forum play so maybe things just go this slowly, but I don't know...If this is the way it's going to be then maybe we should step back and reconsider how things need to be done. Does anyone have a solution that we could try? How do we solve this very slow game? Is it worth fixing if the result is dull and unsatisfying? |

I think the issue is that we have two people with computer problems. On my end, the internet is as reliable as a Metal Storm assault rifle.

I think Lilith is reffering to herself and our GM. I'm willing to play this one out and see where it takes us. Truely there is a lot we don't know about what we are going to run into. The GM has been, I think, very sly on the setup of the security of the house. I think once we make our run we will be in one heck of a fight and we will be thrown many curve balls so to speak to throw our best laid plans awry. The GMs comp problems are probabley the main thing slowing this run down as we all wait for his next opportunity to post us when the next day starts or next thing he has planned happens. Otherwise we could simply push forward say its tomorrow morning and proceed with our prep work. For example since our hacker has access to the sec cams we can see what our targets habits are for a day or three and then plan to hit the target when he isn't there and hopefully when the neighborhood is at its emptiest. Those are my thoughts.

Yeah, I think the real issue is there's not a whole lot we can do until we decide to just go for it and hit the building.

best i can do is have a few fellow gangers standing by in a bar close to the target or something to give us backup if we need it, if i pull a favor in from my contact, but i feel i have pulled enough from her for now.

I guess it is time to assert some leadership. I have the computer problem solved, but it is kind of a pain to post. I thought the OOC information I gave was implemented well into the IC posts by the PCs. I also thought people were getting settled at school this week IRL, so wasn't going to prod anyone. I also figured sooner or later it would dawn on people that there needs to be a plan made and the theft carried out.
In my experience of online games, this is where most fold. The PCs will keep looking for clues, or doing legwork, or trying to find out every bit of information possible and never actually do the run. I will remind you that the more you dig, the more word spreads that someone is looking to boost this particular gun. You have also not really left yourself open for random violence, and I'm afraid if I throw some in, it will really throw you paranoid people of track wondering who this "other" party is that is out to get you. I would suggest forming a plan, and rolling time forward. Potential data Hayter could get is that lights are on in the basement all night. A trideo set was in use during prime time and shut off after the news. |

I agree with moving things foreword, but most of that is going to be done by the phyiscal infiltrators, not me. I;ve got my backdoor that I can tap into when things go down and give matrix overwatch the best I can, but other than that I'm not sure I can do anything but sit in my van. Not complaining, just lettin' you guys know. Me going with you into the place is kinda a bad idea.

well once we do this drive by and look the place over quick, i could either go in as fire support, or stay out front as sniper for cover/lookout. all im waiting for is the legwork to finish so i can do my part.
and i need my stuff, im assuming this it the second day, so if we do the run after the 3rd we will be fine, right? |

I am figuring about midnight of the first day. By noon of the next day, you will have had 4 hours of planning and about 8 hours nappy time. |

Ok I posted an IC post making some small assumptions. I am assuming the target has times of the day he is gone so I think hitting the place during the day when most peeps are at work is a good idea. Reduces the number of people who might witness the breakin. We might also be able to disguise ourselves as a repair crew to throw off suspicion a bit? Anyway lnk what you think.

It looks like this dog has died. If no one noticed, I tried getting some replacement players so we could continue, but I got zero responses. When one of the few remaining announce they are resigning, it signals the end.
Sorry I couldn't grab everyones attention. Too bad we did not even get to the first plot twist. Thanks for playing. Everyonr grts a point of karma. Those that tried to keep it going, take 10 karma. |
