Hey, if I'm using those weapons, I'm probably going to plead insanity at my trial anyway, so decorating my weapon to make it look like that would be a bonus.

Besides, if you're the GM, imagine how awesome you'll feel when your NPCs smack down the party using these weapons. GM: "Sorry, but you were just headshotted by one of these babies. That's a D wound, roll roll, and you lose a point of willpower permanently. KEKEKEKEKE." |

Yeah. So. Weapons made for fashion, huh? Fair enough, but I'd have to say that weapon manufacturers have been designing asthetically pleasing weapons for decades. This stuff, however, ain't fashion. It's tacky, like making fluro-pink armoured jackets.

Here's some more:
Hello Kitty in .45 caliber What's worse, is that apparently, someone actually uses these. They're not some artist's flight of fancy. |

Those aren't worse. It's a colored grip with a tiny icon. It's silly but not as embarassing as the trash at the front of this.

Reminds me of that one line in the second resident evil movie:
"My shit is custom!" (When a npc whips out his gold plated desert eagle) |

You can find more weapons by the same artist here.
For some reason, the fifth image doesn't seem to work. |

I must have this.
THere is actually a single great advantage to these tacky firearms. Product safety laws in most countries require that toy firearms are painted bright colors such as orange so that they don't look real. This fact really pisses of toy gun collectors and Transformers fans (it is the primary reason why there hasn't been a reissue of G1 Megatron). Yet, by painting these firearms bright colors so that they resemble toys, you reverse this. People will look at your hot-pink Hello-Kitty pistol and assume that it is just a toy. They'll remain relaxed and they'll laugh. And then you'll shoot them with it. This works best if you're a pre-teen girl. |

I don't really get what's so "controversial" about it. They're briefly amusing, but intellectually vacuous and aesthetically bankrupt.

I agree it's not controversial, but I think it's a nice closing of the loop as far as the pop-culture spectrum. It's beautiful satire. But, you know... art :please:
