Thanks, I guess I'll use that for now.
I didn't think about maps when I started this. Heh. I'll just have to practice with it. 'map of it all' the d's are suppose to represent doors, otherwise I apologize for the simplicity of it. Don't ask for a size scale - I don't know it. Be assured this isn't the office building of giants, however. |

Sexy map. I'm just going to list all the stuff Clay's going to try to do in the astral so it can be resolved with one big IC post instead of doing 'em one by one in the IC thread.
He's basically going to give the whole building a thorough scan and compare what he sees with what's illustrated on the map. He'll look for any signs of magical security, and find out how the interior doors of the building are secured (i.e. maglock). He'll also look around to see if he can find any of the stuff on the retrieval list. Additionally, he's going to check out what kind of physical security they have on staff and where the camera feeds are being monitored (security room?) Hmm, that's all I can think of for now. Is there any reason why one of the offices on the third floor has an asterisk in it? Also, what kind of patrol data is available on the data disk? |

the asterisk points out the offices you are supposedly looking through, though you can check the other side if you really want.
As for patrols...it's earlyish in the morning, and I need to wake up. O_o *rubs eyes into proper shape* I'll give patrol data a little later on. |

Performing private perception test on this then: Being you're astral and all, this is kinda visual only cues, though I suppose you could hear things now and then.
*calculates how much pain and agony to u- oh, wait, there isn't a chart for that* Anyways...The first floor doesn't have much in the way of security. There's the guy at the front desk when the place is 'open' and through most of the day, but he's not an over night person, and the doors would be locked then. I sorta forgot to put in a backdoor to this place....but oh well. It's a weird building with fire code violations? Oh, wait, according to the datachip, a few of the offices on each side (as well as a board room) have wide windows good enough for such emergencies. And of course, there are security camera's in the front and halls, but none (supposedly) in the other rooms. Now as for the third floor... There is a guard posted at the desk there for the later hours, and there are security camera's in the office areas as well as the locker room. Mind you, none of these cameras are super fancy, and according to the chip, they all go to the servers anyways - more for snooping than for alerting, with the exception of anyone in the security room downstairs (which only has people around during building hours, according to the data). There shouldn't be anyone beyond that, but that's part of what the missions is about in the first place. There might be employee's, granted. Oh yeah, as far as the scouting out the building goes: No magical security you were able to find. THe Stapler you did locate at one of the desks in the * office area, but the rest of the stuff you couldn't find (You can't exactly read names on the astral). Did I miss anything? |

Are all the doors secured by maglock? Do the guards carry the appropriate keycard?

That would be important, wouldn't it?
The front doors are mag-lockable, and the server room and security room doors are also mag locked, the rest of the doors are minor style locks however. The guards don't appear to have an obvious key of any sort for either door, but you can't peak into pockets, now can you? ;) |

At least one of 'em's gotta have the key to the rooms. We're gonna need it, since no one on the team can bypass locks. :(

Eh, I think we'll manage. I guess we'll wait until Godaime gets her info before we move on to the second meeting. By the way, is Mr. Manager at the building right now?

Well, then, do I post now or do the astrals have something else they were planning to do/post?

At this point, the astral snoopage is technically done unless Jack and Kray what to get more specific. If everyone agrees, we can assume 'next day' or later on or whatever and you can do a post Godaime....and I'll think and see if I can figure anything I can tell you in advance. >.< Pardon me. empty head moments.

Well, all in all, I declare a next day action!
It takes about <insert so many> complex actions to perform - later - Okay, presumably, it's morning or noonish or some time like that. Play gently with the hours and you can be out of temporal balance, but if you plan on interacting with shared people (yourselves or otherwise) try to keep that in mind. Free excuse to play yourselves out some while I charge Godaime absurd amount of cred for information. ...okay, I really mean to do whatever, heh. pass info, send in 3 red clad ninja-SWAT, etc, etc. I will get a clear head on just what the hell I'm doing, really. Godaimesama, now would be a convenient time to meet your contact. ^-^; |

Yes it would, but I kind of assumed you were going to give me the information I could use beforehand. I've been waiting for you to get online, then when you finally do, by the time you say anything I'm off at a concert.
I apologize profusely for the amount of time it's taken me to get around to this. For clarification, CD, are you going to give me the info and let me play Jorl as I like, or are you going to play Jorl, or what? I'd like all that before I start, if it's not too much trouble. |

Sorry for my absence all. *sighs* Hellish weekend. :P I blame college/babysitting/everything else.
Godaime, I guess I should give you info, that'd work best at this point. We'll pm/im/whatever-m as appropriate. I will try and catch things up properly tomorrow (monday). Sorry again everyone! side note - JackRipper turned in his card via PM. So for now I'll ghost him for the mission. His reasons had sense I couldn't blame, so don't think badly or anything. Just means Krayola gets to try his hand even more at being the mage. ;) |
