Why don't you run a forum-based game? |

I want to game with Fortune, so I'm voting for a forum game too! And seeing the amount of time we spent here, it can be awfully slow. |

You have room for a shadowrun newb? I've been looking for a game to help me get started with the system. BTW, how would dice rolling be handled? Online roller like invisible castle?
I'm all for a IM game. A SW d20 forum game I'm in has been going on since march of 04, I joined in chapter 2 in june of 05, and now we are three pages into chapter 3. Even if we have moved the story along it has taken over a year to basicly introduce my character and the guy who joined at the same time, get us involved in the plot, get arrested, break out, and flee the planet. Saturdays, noon gmt -5(EST) equals 9am here in gmt -8(PST). I guess I can get up that early :D. edit: oh, noon midwest gmt-6 , so that would be 10am for me, that I can do just fine. |

What brought you to my game? And do you have a copy of the SR4 main book? |

I do have a copy of the core book. I found your game just browsing the forums looking to see what all was here. I've been lurking for the past couple of days still trying to get my head used to d6 instead of a d20 system:wobble:. I havn't read the magic sections at all and I'm still not quite sure how a hacker would be played. To be safe I'm thinking my first character should be some kind of a gunslinger.
One thing I'm not quite sure about is with all the equipment in the book, what is regularly used by runners? |

Anything you think will get used, personally speaking.
As for what you should buy at chargen, I'd say just get what you'd regularly use, guns, armor, cyberware, that sort of thing. I'd suggest setting up a group fund for when you need to send one guy in a radiation suit. |

Looking at your house rules, does the half cost skills apply only to active skills being 2 points instead of 4 or are you halving knowlege/language skills too?
So is the high powered ness of this supposed to reflect more experianced runners or just a slightly different scale? BTW, I'm planning basicly a Face character who carries a shotgun. |
