I just want to make sure I understand the driving and shooting part of the vehicle section.
every IP the driver or rigger must make a driving test. If the driver/rigger chooses to do anything else (ie fire a weapon) the vehicle will be considered out of control. The driver/rigger needs to make a test to regain control on the next IP. is that right? I mean obviously he can turn the Auto Pilot on to not be out of control. |

No, it's actually one complex action per combat turn (or chase turn in chase combat). Unless you do something with your vehicle that requires additional vehicle tests, of course.

so if a rigger has 3 IP then he only has to make a control test during one his 3 possible complex actions in that turn?

yes... unless he decides to perform a dangerous manuever. with 3 initiative passes you can: IP1: Control test IP2: Sensor Lock IP3: Fire weapon |
