Maeve Whitmore paced in her living room, desprately awating her husbands return from work. "What will he say?" she wondered. Aaronn Whitmore finally came through the door, "Darling, I have the most wonderful news!" the young couple blurted simultaniously. "You first Maeve", smiled the young man. The elven woman coloured deeply "I'm pregnant" "That's glorious!"shouted her husband smiling happily. "My news seems to pale. I was just notified of my transfer to New Orleans" "But that's so dangerous with the crash and all" the woman spoke timourusly. "A man named Art Dankwalther is calling for the city's rebirth, he claims that it will be a shining jewel of the coast again", the man spoke with conviction. "We will be safe?" questioned Maeve. "As a dragon's hoard" said Aaronn.

Maeve tried to keep up to her two children in the medium sized home, but young Charles was a rambunctious four year old and Elron was a fussy two year old. She sighed deeply "I hope Aaronn gets home soon" The elven man grandly entered his home and was tackled by his sons. He laughed heartily at the childish glee. "Dearest husband, I have some news" Maeve said gladly. "It's happened again, you stud you." "My goodness Maeve can you handle a third?" the middle aged man smiled at his wife. "I don't know, but with help and time I'm sure we will adjust" she shot back cagily. "Well this should please you then, I've just been promoted to head of magical security" He smiled at his wife's expression of joy. "We should be able to afford a larger home and some help for you now and then."

"Well Mr. and Mrs. Whitmore, I'm sorry to say, but Charles is not where we expect our students to be at this time." The older human woman frowned at the screen in front of her. "Is he trouble in class" asked the mother. "No, he's merely, unfocused, he seems easily distracted, he's bright enough, but classes just don't seem to hold his attention" The father spoke "We'll do what we can at home"

"Why can't you be more like your brother, Charles?" questioned Maeve. "Mother that's hardly fair," spoke the youth casually. "Elron is a mage, we've known that since he was twelve." "I know that, dear, but you just seem so unhappy" said the woman concerned. "Rest your mind mother dear, I'm not unhappy, merely unclear" the young man said in the same uncaring tone. "Well as long as you're not involved in something dangerous" Maeve said ending the conversation.

"You're coming with me young fellow"said the Star operative. "But I haven't done any thing" said the young Charles. "I don't think so keeb, selling SIN's is a serious crime. Where did you get them?" said the Star, smacking the boy on the back of the head. The youth clamped his lips tight, to avoid crying out in pain. "Not talking, eh daisy muncher, no worries we'll find out when we get you to HQ" snickered the Star. Placing the flexcuffed youth in the Citymaster, the Star climbed into the cab. Glancing desprately around the rear of the police vehicle, the boy's eyes fell on an Asian man sitting in flexcuffs across from him. "You have to help me, I didn't do anything." ,the boy spoke quickly. "They caught you didn't they, chummer", said the Asian man. "Please, I didn't mean it, they were just fakes" the now agitated youth said. "Well then you hosed up real good, keeb"smiled the man. As the Citymaster rolled down the street, it crossed a certain street and as it did the tires on the vehicle exploded. Fighting for control the Star man finally brought the vehicle to a halt. Glancing in the back at his prisoners, the Star man never saw the Ruger that took his life. The two prioners in the back heard the shot, and then heard a loud clunk in the rear door. "Sorry kobun, we had to track the Star's chatter to find you." said the Asian face that appeared in the now open rear door. "Not at all Nasuni, I thought you might have trouble. I'm just glad you got me before we hit the station"said the older man, holding his hands out to be uncuffed. "Take me with you!" shouted the elven youth. "I don't know boy, you may slow us down."said the older Asian man. "I'll keep up I swear" stated the youth flatly. "Kobun?" questioned the younger man. "Do it, the Oyabun may have uses for him, if not we can always use more giri, or nuyen" stated the older man. As the three figures exited the vehicle, the older Asian man said, "My name is Miko Minyazuki, what's yours"

"Sensei, do you want me to take the lead this time?", questioned the young elven man. "You have to learn sometime student"said the older Asian man. "Hello, sir have you heard about the wonderful investment oppurtunities in Oriulchum futures?" said the elf as the suit approched the booth that said "Make 1000% returns in ONLY five Days!" in every possible language. "Huh, I didn't think that they were trading publicly."said the suit. "Well sir the Kazumanga mining firm believes that we should all benefit from their wealth of discovery"stated the elf. "Hmm, no thanks." said the suit walking away. "Idiot," said the Asian man lightly smacking the elf "When do corps GIVE anything away, stick to the script I told you and you'll do fine" "Yes Sensei"smiled the elf, as another mark walked up.

As you walk through the newly refurbished French Quarter, you notice a knot of people gathered around a young elf with a table. "Can't say you've been to the Big Easy without playing Charlie's three card monte." he patters. "It's as easy as soy folks, find the red you get ahead, find the black set you back, who's for another dandy, yessir Charlie runs a clean honest game, no tricks, no gimmicks, solid N'awlins fun folks" His hands move in a blur, as his voice rises in pitch and speed. Why not, you think, it's legal isn't it?

But there's a lot of clutter on this OOC thread's first page, what with the house rules and entire Cast of Shadows listed on it.

Take in to account that this campaign hass more ties with the Kozlowski Family in New Orleans, and the yaks are considered enemies. And getting their asses kicked for the most part as well. If you want to stick with the background, but have it be a hidden connection, that' s fine. If you want to rework it for a family tie that's fine as well. Just let me know. They're all sort of "in the middle of something" at the moment, so it may be just a bit before I can work you directly in to the action, but I can at least weave you in to the campaign. Edit: Oh yeah, make sure you're familiar with our posting format. Speech is in salmon innermonologue/thoughts is in aquamarine Rules/rolls are in gold Text, such as text messages and such are red We list our dice rolls out. It's easiest and cleanest to do in [spoiler ] tags. But even I forget to do that at times. Which ever you're more comfortable with is fine. Just for God's sake don't post in spoilers in gold text. It's painful. Roll your own dice. Like I said, just list out what you're rolling first, what each set is in the pull (i.e. Magic 5 +spellcasting 4 +Spec Combat spells 2 = 11 dice, along with modifiers. Also include the People/Location/Date-time stamp we've implemented in your posts. If you're in the middle of combat and have a ton of posts going, not such a huge deal to get it every time.

His father was a member and Mickey inherited his fathers debt of giri. So he works off his debt to the Yaks by doing con jobs. Charlie doesn't even get the respect Mickey does, and he worked off his breakout years ago. (He's 21 and the breakout was when he was 16)

And as he has Body 5, then we can know that he will pass out when the next box comes around. And you know what is funny about back wounds. Same thing as when you have a horrible itch just along your spine, in the middle of the back. You really need someone else to tend that. Sooo... hurry up, Luigi or else.. :dead:

Seeing what I can work ATM> We haven't heard from Sigil on the Miami game, so I think Plan B is oging to try to slide you in there. Honestly I think the character of Charlie would fit better in that one since IWTF is pretty cut throat. But either way, we'll get you in a game. I defnitely want to see this character played out. Is he an adept, mundane ,cybered, Edge monkey, what?

He's sort of an Un-Face. The guy with the red eyes and flowing blond hair trying to talk down the Star yeah not him, the guy BEHIND him casually picking Mr. Social Adepts pocket. That's Charlie. He was inspired by all the great con movies I've ever seen. The Sting, Ocean's Eleven, and a little show that's being broadcast on the CBC called Hustle. Basically he's the con man, the quiet little dude who will take you for everything you're worth.
