Hmmm.. Alrighty then.. Well how about you remote control them for a while... Hopefully the players show back up. I know the Painted Samurai game is lamenting in S_Killers absence as well. Hopefully RL will clear up for them and they can get back in, if not we can consider options around that in a few more weeks. So ka?

I'm not sure that's such a great idea. Remote Control works fine for one character, but not 3 out of 5. That results into basically running the game and playing the game all by myself...

Well.. It was an idea... Ok, I'm looking for options that keep us from quiting the game. So until you tell me that you're giving up I'm gonna keep trying to keep this game alive. ;)
How about one of these options: 1) Soykaf and I declare actions for the missing team members until they return or get retired. 2) Simon and McKinney continue on, not knowing where the team disappeared to. If the players return, their characters can get out of jail/escape the ghouls/convince the Vory not to dismember them/Other {GMs Choice} 3) Option 1 or 2 + open recruitment for new players. We continue playing while you consider applications to join the team. Are you enticed..? |

Well, I had similar options in mind already, especially 1. Let me put on a time line. Let's say 10 days from now. In 10 days, I'll take such action. I really want to avoid it, that's why I wait.

So... till that 10 days runs out do Soykaf and I continue and you will plot device why we aren't hearing from the other team members ... or does the game go on hold.... or {option #3}?

edit
So yeah, I'm not sure if I want to go forward with this the way it's starting.. I know it's very anti-climactic but maybe it's just a sign that I won't like GM'ing on the DS forums. I find this kind of stuff easier to react to as a player than as a GM. |

It takes a certain type of person to be a GM... You gotsa have a lot of time on your hands. Syndicate is doing a good job but he has work time conflict and such so the game is suffering a little.
Your game was cool, we had some really dynamic characters, but this is the fate of ALL role-playing games in the end... Someone has time conflicts and the game dies. It's written in the unwritten book of "Why Role-Playing will not get you laid, and other neat facts." Hahaha. Bottom line is, it's the MAN's fault, stick it to the man! WOOO ANARCHY RULES!!!! |

I perfectly fine continuing on with two players and a GM. To be honest, the two best forum games I played in were a one player and a two player game.... A few motivated players who are able to manage their time constraints with a motivated GM can make for a kick ass game.
In any case, I'll respect whichever choice you make. |

You know what Redjack, that's actually a very good idea. If you two are up for it, maybe we could work something out. I'd have to think about it, and I'm not sure if we would keep going with the current game, or if we'd have to back up a little. But I'm willing to give this a try, even with just the three of us.

You know what, you've convinced me to just keep playing the game. Interact normally with the other characters, take actions as normal and let me handle the details.
If anyone wants to come back into the game, don't post IC and drop a line here first. For now the game is just going to be Redjack and Soykaf adict. |

I'll let you work with Soykaf to advance the game to 2am. Then I'll work out the second summoning and be ready for an advance to 6am... barring any unforseen things between now and then.
