Dean is from the UCAS but Starbucks doesn't really care where it sets up shop. Given his back ground, I would say that he would know that the Starbucks should have cameras on a single success of a corporate policy knowledge role. If you don't have that knowledge skill, let me know what you took. and I'll make a judgment call on it.

Ok. I know Thanee has been strapped down with a big game con in Europe. She posted in my Puyallups game that she just got done with it.

Ok, let's take a look at the questions: Fundraiser: If my count is correct, we have spent two days IC. The meet was Day 1 and the fundraiser was set for a week later. Therefore we are on Day 3. It was planned at his headquaters. Schedule Extrapolation: Seems like a reasonable request. Make an Extended Computer Test (6, 10 minutes). |

Ok, in the interest of moving to the next step I'll recap where we are and where I think we need to go next: It is Sunday, lunchtime. Dean is in the ork lady's neighborhood while Book, Dalton & Jazz are at the safe house.
I have updated our working list adding a few items and am throwing up a straw man of what we will do. 1) Tuesday/Wednesday: Keep tabs on ork woman so that we know where the rendezvous will be, prepare for meet. - a) - b) Who is she? Who is her husband/family? - Cross reference address to occupants - [Jazz]? 2) Wednesday 10pm - Target meets with Ork woman a) Surveillance begins at 7:00am; The entire team in the van. Book to use watchers and Jazz to manage matrix based surveillance. b) Team will leave plenty of distance early in the day in order keep from compromising their surveillance. 3) Thursday between 1900 & 2130: Record and eaves drop on Starbuck's meet. - a) - b) - c) What type of counter surveillance will there be? - d) Establish surveillance prior to and during meet. 4) Friday: Fund raiser at Election HQ. Opportunity to link target to Ares - a) - b) How will we get onsite? - c) How will we identify the Ares agent(s)? - d) What type of counter surveillance will there be? - e) What type of security will there be? Given the above for our working plans here are the list of things to occur Sunday Afternoon through Tuesday Evening (as I see it). I would like to work through these quickly in OOC and then just make after-the-fact IC posts for the time period. 1) Retrieve Dean and cease surveillance till Wednesday. 2) Have Jazz search the matrix for who the woman, her husband and family are [Thanee - Can you make rolls here?] 3) Book can bind up to two more spirits. I think it would be in our best interest with such a small team that he spend some of his expense money before hand doing that. [I will post rolls asap] 4) Dean show spend some of his expense money on a fly-spy (like Dalton got) and perhaps some RFID or micro cameras (with audio). [Cedric - What do you think about this?] 5) Dalton wants to get some alternate registration for his van. With the various decals he has for the side, he also needs some alternate digital registration. [Alex - What would be the cost for this by rating? Is this just a license to you?] After these items are completed/gathered, I think we can fast-forward to Wednesday morning. Agreed? I'd like to get this wrapped up, get some karma and look towards the next run. ;) |

I hesitate to get an off the shelf spy fly drone, although it's better than nothing, since I don't know squat about piloting it or protecting it's signal. I'd be better off using a watcher spirit to track but I could post it to provide info. I'll use the expense money to get the drone, it's the best I can do, and I like using micro-cameras, they're hard to spot and in a place that has lots of signals would be hard to pick up. I don't know how we'd secure their signal though. Dean already has Force 3 binding materials and I'd like to bind at least one elemental Force 3, maybe a second one too. The more spirits the better in my opinion. I've also got an agent program I can lend ot the cause. It is basically a research device, with analyze, browse and spoof utitlities at Rating 3 but if Jazz wants to have it (Marshall) tag along and put it to some use it can run off my commlink and not take any of Jazz's subscriptions or response negatives. |

Drones with upgrades are available. Dalton recently bought one: 2,000 Fly-Spy 0,500 Signal upgrade to 4 0,100 Upgrade sensors: Add Thermo-graphics 0,150 Encryption R3 ------ 2,750 Total
What we need are recordings to fulfill our contract though. I had thought about watchers myself and I went back and forth on whether or not there might or might not be magic support of any type at the rendezvous. Initially I thought "no, he wouldn't have any sort of magic protection for a trist", but if I was his sponsor, I might insure a little astral surveillance. Especially if I had a significant, vested interest in his getting elected.
I generally subscribe to (1) encrypt the signal & (2) hide in the plethora of signals.
Obviously with Book being a mage, I definitely subscribe to spirits. On this run I see them as more useful if the run is blown and we need to cut-n-run. Haven't been able to determine much use (except that search) otherwise ATM. Would you agree? Book is a snake shaman. If Dean's tradition is shamanic, you could use Book's lodge for the binding... Unless you have a lodge already (or are hermetic, in which case you need a library/summoning circle).
I had Dalton spend some of his expense money on software as well, though I don't have an agent. [900 :nuyen: :Edit 3, Command 3, browse 3, analyze 3, encrypt 3, scan 3]. An exploit tool kit would be nice, but since Jazz does that so nicely, no need to step on her toes... ;)
Spoof is good though. I need to get that. Dalton has the Electronics Group & Electronic Warfare with a specialization in jamming. |
