Taunt how it's used in RedBricks ED:

Taunt
Step Number: Rank + Charisma
Action: No
Requires Karma: No Strain: 0
The Taunt talent allows an adept to insult and humiliate a target character, thereby distracting him. The target must be able to understand the adept in order for the Taunt to work. The adept makes a Taunt Test against the target’s Social Defense. If the test
succeeds, the target incurs a ‑1 penalty to all of his Action Tests for each result level achieved on the Taunt Test. Because of the demoralizing effects of a successful taunt, subtract ‑1 from the target’s Social Defense for each result level achieved on the Taunt
Test. Each use of the Taunt talent lasts for a number of rounds equal to the character’s Taunt rank.

It doesn't force the target character to attack the taunting character.

QUOTE (Core Book ED 1st edt)
The Taunt talent allows a character to enrage an opponent, thereby distracting him. The character makes a taunt test taht round rather than attack, using an opponents social defense as the difficulty number. A successful taunt means the charcter is so angered that he must reduce all of his dice steps by en equal number to the taunt's rank, for a number of rounds equal to the rank. Only one taunt can affect a character at any time.

It's pretty clear that it's only anger that they feel. Nothing else. Which, especially with a warrior means very few types of reactions. Remember that this is the version wer're going off of, since this is what I have. Get me a book eh?

Thought you'll get the books at your birthday?

The target is angered, but not forced to attack the taunting character. I'm fine with that. :)

The annoyed windling makes for an amusing picture, half stuck under a desk.

You both are so cruel. First time Ralo proofs that he's a windling and you get annoyed. :grinbig:

Hey, she said 6 feet. Figuring 1 foot at least under the desk gives 5 feet. That isn't straight vertical, meaning you can only go up about three feet. Hate geometry man, not me!

Yes I DLed it. I hav a floor plan worked out. I jsut don't ahve it in a cmputer format

To make it easy, picture a rectangle. That rectangle is the central area. Then put another spece on the top and bottom. That's the hallways connecting to the towers.

This would be a top view BTW. There are two floors remember. the 'third' would be the four tower levels.

FYI, I won't be at home from May 7h to 11th and I don't know if I'll have the time for longer internet sessions. I'll be on vacation with four of the people I'm working with, visiting lovely Dresden. So please be patient if the game slows down a bit in that time.

OK, now let's set up the ED character sheet. For starters, multiply all of your attributes x3. Strength is Strenght, Body is Toughness, Average of Reaction and Agility is Dexterity. Logic is Perception. Willpower is Willpower. Charisma is Charsima.

Your gear is gone except for your arm band foci thing

your skills only matter if they're relevant. So if you have an electronics skill, don't boether writing it down.

Sorcery (G) becomes the Spellcasting Talent. Assensing becaomse the Astral Sight Talent. So put those two on a Talent list, and the rest under Skills. Look at the beginning of the thread ofr other PC examples.

It's a long and interesting one.

On second thought, anyone that feels up to writing out their full cahracter backround at length will get LP. Obviously this will be easier for Morgana, who actually has played her acharacter. But you're all 5th circle, so there has to be history there.

What means "at length" to you?

Ralo's background was a good overview. "At length" for a fifth circle character? I'd say 3-4 pages. It should have details like characters names, names of groups they were involved with, or horrors they fought, placesthey've been, things they did, etc. Think back to a chracter you've had that was around 5th circle and the kinds of things they did on the way to that rank. That sort of thing.

Pretty shiny Legend Points in it for you. Then post it on the OOC. This goes for you as well Callidus. SinN, if you want to ... well good luck. I know Hood has a long ass history.

I've never had a character that I played up to 5th circle, I'm GM only in ED. But I know what you mean then. God, my players would so hate me if I forced them to write down their character background en detail. Their adventure log of the current group/campaign is 25 pages in font size 10 now and we hadn't add the last 6 sessions.
