ok, now someone titled 'theshadowrungm' added me. That you RJ? I just want to know who these people are !

@ Grinder: Trying not to rus the sit down but move the game along at the same time. Basically discussing splitting in to three groups of 2. You know, "split up, we'll cover more ground faster." ;)

As long as you don't start the run before sunday, I'm fine.
And you know the old saying "Never split the party", I hope. :D

Btw, I Walk The Line are an awesome band and very nice people. If anyone here is interested in punkrock, check them out. Gotta get some sleep now. 'Til sunday folks.

@ Grinder - I'm thinking mostly more prep work. I 've got gear to gather for example. Since no one is responding ATM, tomorrow nithgt I'll just post Cash leaving go to get the gear together. Anything you want him to pickup, you've got 'til then to ask.

I'd love some other input IC from folks though about whether we should split up or what. Just 'cause Cash is the take charge type sure doesn't mean he's the only one that can plan this stuff.

Shell would work well pretty much anywhere you need him, he's mostly guns so range is covered, also got melee blade skills in case you need him up close plus his minor hacking means he should be able to help out n that side too so he's good wherever he gets put.... that and Cash is obvious, to Shell, taking charge so he'll pretty much follow what orders come down.... damn training *8->

Charlie's your sneaky ass hacker, but he also has some con skills. So he can work as a trix scout, or a physical scout. He'll be taking a rear flank in combat, cause he's a bit of a fraidy cat. But he's got the close combat group JIC.

Hacking isn't that hard. Just first off make sure that you've got a high stealth and exploit program. If you actually need to hack in to a system, doing a general hack will give you general access where you'll have to roll for everything you try to do. The system rolls it's firewall rating against your stealth to detect you. IC makes it worst of course.

If you want more access, the threshold goes up +3 for Security and +6 for Admin. These basically mean that you can do more without having to roll every time. They're harder to do without being detected thoguh obviously.

Doing a 'long hack' instead of hacking on the fly, where it takes hours instead of minutes, is also handy when trying to intrude in to a system, because most of the time, completeing a long hack, the GM allows for a 'back door' access, meaning you've found a hidden way in to the system. So if you leave and come back later, you won't have to hack it all over again, assuming you don't set off alarms.

That's the dumbed down easy way of doing hacking.

Hey All,

It is with profound regret that I have to announce that I am not going to be able to continue running the Miami Vice or Cape Town games. My health issues are getting worse, especially in regards to my shoulder. It is now impossible for me to sit for longer then 20 minutes at a time at the computer. It just hurts too much. I really hate to do this. I've had a lot of fun coming up with the games, and I've really come to like all of you that are involved. I sincerely apologize for letting you all down. I hope to talk to you all soon.

Thank you for understanding (or pretending too if you don't.) :)

Bad news indeed. Hopefully you'll recover soon and can continue the games. Is it known what the reasons for the pain in your shoulder are?

It's a low powered gang campaign, isn't it? That's not what I'm looking for.
