Adamu - Everyone's Edge will refresh at each new 'Story Event'. So you might have to wait a while...

Voorhees - Post up, go ahead and reply. Until Mister Juan says he's back in action, you and I will move the remnants of the Splintered Crash forward.

Sorry I haven't been posting... been pulled back to work a hell week and by the time I get home all I want to do is sleep... Should be free of all of this by Monday in case that has any effect on upcoming events for Nevada, Box and Badmarsh.

Vegas or Sparky - Per a previous request, as I'm seeing how the combat system is playing out, I really think we need a separate thread for each combat under the 'Action Phase' heading. We can archive the completed combats somewhere else later.
For now, I'm going to create the second combat thread and you can move it around as you see fit later. |

Combat Turn 2 [ Spoiler ] The only person who might need the Resolution Phase is Doc. Consequently, I'm not going to start a template for that phase just yet. For now, if Doc wants to use Edge, simply post it and the associated re-roll in the Action Phase as a Note under Doc's action for Combat Turn 2. Deadlines are as follows: Resolution Phase Deadline: Sunday, July 8, 2007, 23:59:59 US Central Time Combat Turn 3 Action Phase Deadline is Monday, July 9, 2007, 23:59:59 US Central Time. Have your IC post up by this time as well. IC post to follow shortly. If there are any questions regarding anything that happened in Combat Turn 2, post here and let me know. Also, there are again some updates/modifications to the Combat Template to help run things smoother, so pay attention to the notes and copy the most recent template from the top. EDIT: Doc is Knocked Down by the troll's attack. |

Couple small things on the resolution. First, most gratified to have gotten the back attack bonus. Wondering, though, since I spent edge to reroll all my failures, that would apply to the failed two dice on the back attack, right? Or maybe you already did that. If so, sorry to be a pest. Second, just so I understand the notations you are using, what does the 0P damage on Doc stand for? |

1. You are correct, the two failed dice from the back attack should be re-rolled, I forgot to do that. I edited above and changed the results accordingly. 2. 0P means Doc took no damage on the attack. I used 0P instead of No Damage to remain consistent with my own notations. |

Note: Because my IC post is written as a descriptive narrative/story, it doesn't necessarily follow the exact order of the OOC rolls and actions, because I don't want it to read like your old-school, 'He swings. He misses. He swings. He hits.'
For example, technically Doc swung at the troll, missed, was shot by the dwarf, absorbed the hits for no damage, then was hit and knocked down by the troll. Since this all happens over the space of seconds though, I am taking some minor creative liberties and changing it up slightly where appropriate to capture the feel of the ebb and flow of combat. As always, for a mechanical breakdown of what actually happened during the Combat Turn, check the OOC thread. |

Combat Chart is under the link titled 'In Hot Pursuit'. Combat Turn 1 Action Phase Deadline is Tuesday, July 10, 2007, 23:59:59 US Central Time. If you have any questions prior to that, go ahead and ask, but generally speaking, you can't make out much. You know the Raiders are out there because they're shooting at you, but without an Observe in Detail action you can't definitively make out very much just yet. You know there's definitely more than one, and they're far enough away that you can't spot them easily. Terrain wise, you're all at one end of an alley, and they're coming at you from the other end. You can consult the map to get a general idea of what their end looks like. As stated above, I may answer some of your questions so go ahead and ask, but others I may require an Observe In Detail Action for first. Voorhees, Mister Juan Since Mister Juan is currently AWOL, I have to adjust how I'm going to handle this. Most likely, the next post will be kind of a long one, so it may not be up until either Saturday or (more likely) Monday. |

I believe that catches all my players up. If I missed anything, let me know.
EDIT: Grendel, I just noticed your general intent was 'cut the elf in front of you in half'. I missed that when going through Combat Turn 2, that was my fault. If you want me to redo your CT 2, IP 2 attack, let me know and I will redo that action and adjust the IC post to match. If you're fine with how things turned out, however (and I imagine there's a good chance you are, what with one foe dead and the other prone) then we'll just leave everything as is. |

Leave as is, it's good. Intent changes in the heat of battle when one foe falls and another rises. The ork should have had the good sense to stay down when Legion put him down.

@WR1
Question: Does dermal armor/dermal plating add its rating to worn impact armor to determine if a character takes stun or physical damage? I am not sure what the damage code of a baseball bat with nails in it is, but unless it's AP is pretty high there's a good chance that attack should have done stun damage, not physical. Not that I'm really complaining because I already have more stun damage on my track than physical, just going for accuracy, heh. If I'm wrong please disregard this completely. That said, I would like to spend edge to reroll failures on my parry roll as part of the resolution phase. I don't know where to post that so I shall post it here: [ Spoiler ] I can't have Doc getting knocked over in his first fight alongside legion, that's just embarrassing. ;) |

As an initial question, which I may have to recon in the 'observe in detail' part, later: 1. How many can I see? 2. Distance between them and I? 3. Do they have any cover? 4. Type of weapons? 5. How effective is their fire (they obviously know where I am, but are they taking well aimed shots coming at me or am I receiving 'hi, how ya doin?' fire)? 6. Any vision penalties between them or I (I have low light Initial intent is up on the wiki, it has some annoying formatting thingys on it (specifically, the heading thing on the initiative roll). I spent a point of edge on going first, and then proceeded to get a pretty awesome initiative roll. Do I have to declare that point of edge first, like I did, or can I apply it to my (relatively crappy) attack roll if I end up going first anyway? Oh, and do I have to apply the retarded penalty for firing from behind cover? </whine> |

Regarding combat resolution: Thumper had a projectile of some variety readied in his left hand before entering melee. In the description, you mention him swinging the table leg with both hands. If the projectile has been discarded, I'll live, but if not, I plan to make use of it. Please let me know what the situation is. |

@Winter or anyone
Ok now im confused. Now our only reason for trying to gather into a single group is for self preservation and NOT because we were previously in a coalition together? I think it would be good if we saw the winning gangs who destroyed all the splinter gangs and hammerpack like working together more. Besides wearing their gang color they could be also wearing some alliance color and we see some of them working together... Then our characters would easily be drawn together out of hatred for those winners. If Steel Demons took out the rollers I could just join up with the Raiders or UV's but not if they were friends with SD, then i would hate them all and i would want to join whoever opposed them.... |

The deadline for my actions for this combat turn is tonight at midnight, but I haven't gotten any word on my spending of edge for the resolution phase of last turn, and I can't do my action until I hear about that since it's going to make a big difference on whether or not I have to stand up this turn. I don't really mind, I can put up my post as soon as that goes through, but if I miss the deadline that's why. |

Extended replies to follow after I take care of other things, but quick answers here:
Unarmed - You are correct, it should have been Stun damage, not Physical. That was my mistake. After that correction and your Edge roll, Doc will take 3S, not 5P, and not be knocked down. I will edit the IC post to reflect that later today. If you need more time to get your actions inputted on the Combat Chart due to this delay, let me know and I'll grant you an extension. Pragma - Holding the table leg in two hands was pure flavor, you still have the projectile in the other hand. I will edit to reflect this. Thanks for the reminder. |

I'm going to go ahead and make my IC post for the last combat turn. If anything I put in conflicts with how you are going to alter the IC post, I can definately alter my post accordingly. You're the GM, so change it how you want it to be, don't do it on my account. I just have some free time at work and want to get that stuff done. =) |
