@Abbandon: And I just stole Fool's thunder by knowing about Zorro. :D It just seems like something Ink would watch is all.

All - Go ahead and squeeze in any roleplaying for the trip now, because I'm going to bump you all forward when I get the chance this week to the apartment Nevada talked about.

I will be travelling for the next few weeks. I will still be checking in every chance I get, so I doubt it will be an issue. But if anything from Grack is needed for the action to move forward, Winter by all means NPC me along to keep from holding things up.

I've emailed Grendel and requested an update of his next 'orders' post for when you all arrive at the location Nevada is leading you to. When I have that post I will integrate it with my own post detailing your arrival. Hopefully this will free most of you up to post a little more frequently a little sooner.

I have Grendel's next batch of 'orders' and the bump post planned, but my home internet is down so I haven't been able to post it yet. I will get it up as soon as possible in the next couple days to keep things moving along.

Should we still bring up the garage child and fool thought of or is that to far away now?

You can still suggest it, but remember there were some potential issues with protecting something so close to Demons turf, and it's actually closer to them right now than it is to you (in the apartment building). In the end, it's your call whether to bring it up or just forget about it.

@Winter
Okay, this could be a long and involved process and I am unsure how you want to handle its resolution. My intention is to start with the first two items on Legion's laundry list - scout the whole place, and in the process evict anyone here. With no idea about the dimensions of this place and how many people are living here, I don't know how much I can fluff and how much you will want to be involved in. As noted IC, dropping Detect Enemies. First, some basic questions: How many floors? Basic length/width of building? Structurally sound, or floors/stairways treacherous? Power? Obviously fully occupied? Or not so? Grack really doesn't care if the place is lit up like Christmas, he'll just start throwing people out. Here are my basic intentions: Start at roof (could be squats up there) Work his way down floor by floor, door by door. Chop through any door he can't kick open. Each person he meets either runs or gets murdered. Bodies thrown out windows. Have no idea how much opposition there will be, so I will leave you with those intentions for now and see how far I get before you want to describe some sort of progress or I encounter some trouble you want to resolve. |

Adamu - Go ahead and fluff the whole thing. There will be no significant opposition to Grack in the building, so whatever you want to do, go for it. As far as scavenging, no one in here has anything of value, unless you want to take their shredded up clothes (which are in an even worse state than Grack's!). With the recent gang war, business has dried up in Kingsgate so money, chips, booze, drugs, etc. have not been flowing. Peace needs to kick in a bit so the economy can move off of its wartime footing. Economics 101 in action! (And yes I realize wars often stimulate the economy, but let's just say the people in this building haven't exactly been the beneficiaries of said economic upswing) Just so you know, there are a few story events coming up that will conceivably influence whether or not you guys actually make this your HQ, so I don't want to fully detail a building that you might end up not even occupying. Hence for now, use the answers below, with the disclaimer that I reserve the right to flesh them out/change them later if you all decide to stay. This part is to give you all the opportunity to role-play, get out and do stuff, and depending on dumb luck rolls (which I will make in secret) start playing pivotal parts in the story. This is essentially an intermission allowing you guys to start getting set up before some of my preplanned story events kick in and things heat up. So take advantage of this time to do what you can, but realize the world is dynamic and things might start changing very soon...:vegm:

Sorry for being a bit incommunicado this month; it's been hectic.
Any rate, Thumper's planning on following orders and looking imposing while Ink does all the real work. He's going to spiral out from the HQ in a fairly inefficient and wandering pattern. |

All - In case anyone didn't know, my internet access is still sketchy. I've been down since Dec. 12 and 3 Comcast technicians haven't fixed the problem yet. They're sending an MDU (Multi-Dwelling Unit) team to fix the problem tomorrow morning, so hopefully they deal with it successfully and I'm up and running by tomorrow.
I mention this because I am going to start moving forward with the preplanned story events as soon as my internet access is regular and back up again. So keep role-playing (great job so far everyone!) for now, and ask questions if you need more information. Otherwise, once I'm back up and running I'll start putting up posts for specific people as the events arise. Merry Christmas everyone! |

Vegas - Go ahead and write a fluff post at Slippy's. You know Shade well enough to know how he'll respond to Nevada. If you have questions, just ask.
Lindt - You can either fluff Legion telling Child to exercise his judgment and do what needs to be done to carry out his instructions, discuss with Fool what to do next, or join Bockscar/Felix/Aziz, as Bockscar's just waved you over. I can tell you that with the sitrep, you've basically fulfilled your orders to the point that if you go over to the trio, it would not reflect badly on Child. It's obvious more work and personnel will be needed given what you said, since Child and Fool can't hold down the place they found by themselves, and need more people/vehicles if they're going to hit the 405. Of course, if you want to exercise the initiative to go out to either of those places and find a way to make it work, be my guest...;) |

Hey mate, I was just wondering if you had already made a healing roll for Bock? If not, I'll cook up an IC post for Felix so he can roll medicine on Bockscar to shorten his healing time. And another question concerning the very last thing Bockscar said to Felix: was he saying so with a genuine feeling of "I'll fuckin kill you", or was he just annoyed, or what? I'm just curious so I can write up a reaction on Felix's part (after all, he is supposed to be really good at "reading" peoples feelings ;)) @WinterRat1 I know it sounds like a REALLY dumb quesiton, but having Felix try to speed up Bockscar healing has made me think of something. Can he do the same on Aziz? I didn't think so at first since he's already been at the hospital... but I don't remember Voor rolling for healing at any point. |

Naw, didn't make a healing roll for box because the wound occurred prior to game start, and because I don't really know what else to do in RL for a sucking chest wound so I couldn't properly fluff it out. Feel free to take that liberty. Box's IC post responding to aziz should clarify where he's coming from. He meant it to be a more "tsk tsk, naughty man" type chastisement - he's waving the stripped-down upper receiver of a rifle (the metal thingy that holds the bolt and that the barrel screws into) at you. |

Bockscar is acting civil to people? What did I miss? :eek:
I rolled magical healing for Aziz while he was at the hospital (I did it myself to save time since it occurred during the long downtime before I kicked things back into gear), which is why he was back on his feet so quick. I don't have my books with me, so I can't remember if you can do Medicine after magical healing to reduce healing time. I'll look it up and get back to you tomorrow if you don't check yourself. As Rob said, Bockscar has never had a healing roll done for him, but it's past the time First Aid can be used (I think, again, no books to double check) but you can still use Medicine to speed up healing time for him. |

Grack will next be looking for two escape routes. First search the basement for a way into the sewer system - can use Spatial Sense spell for that if necessary. Then go up top and see if there is at least one structurally sound fire escape. If either or both of those turn out to not be viable, will think of something else. |

There is no access from the basement into the sewer system.
There is a structurally sound fire escape. |

@WinterRat1 (& rob)
Patching up Bockscar wounds Logic (5) + Medicine (1) + Poor Conditions (-2) + Medkit (4) = 8 dices Rolls:4,5,1,1,2,5,5,2 = 3 hits So, that would give Bockscar +3 dices for his next healing tests. All he's got to do now is rest ;) |

@Winter -
Okey dokey. First, look for some sort of back door that leads onto an alley, preferably on a different side of the building from where the fire escape leads down to. Then, scout the alleys or back lots or whatever for routes away from those two egress points - mostly looking for relatively concealed alleys, or routes through other abbandoned structures, or, best of all, the nearest sewer entrances (which I will enter and scout). Will IC after I hear from you and others have a chance to catch up in game time. |

You find a back alley door, the fire escape is on one of the sides of the building.
You can do this with no trouble. Eventually you'll find a sewer entrance nearby, but per my earlier disclaimer, I'm going to see how things shake out in the next few IC hours before detailing this area specifically, lest I do it unnecessarily. |

@Winter - cool. Thanx for the speedy reply.
So quickly scouting all that is what Grack will do for the 30 minutes or from my last timestamp. That will put me well ahead of anyone else's time, so I will wait for others to get current, then IC. |

Bockscar's last little bit seemed like the thing to do at the time. Don't want to to distract the chain too much out of a fluff post, but he'd have a problem with grack's methods.
