To buy now, or to wait for the hardcopy to come out, or should I just do both? So difficult.

I'm torn, honestly. It's cheaper to get it from Amazon, I have it preordered, and it would be in hardcopy--but I won't get it for another month or so.
Or I can spend the extra $1.50 and get it now, but in pdf, which means that I would have to print it out and then eventually buy the hardcopy from Amazon. ... ... *sigh* Time to let my frugality and practicality fight it out with my impatience. Even though it's outnumbered, my impatience is probably going to win. EDIT: And it was a shorter battle than I thought. This post has been edited by bibliophile20: Jun 22 2007, 10:00 PM |

I almost got the combo.
Until I saw that they wanted $9 to ship a 1.1lb package on a book that only costs $25 by itself. Seriously, who's nuts enough to pay for that? I'll buy the book seperately when it comes out through a cheaper website, or just pester my FLGS into getting and holding a copy for me. :P Meanwhile, paying for the PDF. Good times. |

Much more interested in the other three offerings, I'll hold my girlish squeals of delight until then. |

Hm. Nice supplement, this is... at first glance, it looks better than System Failure. But, somehow, I got the feeling something is missing. Perhaps I just missed it, tough.
[ Spoiler ] Anyone found something? |

Well, I suppose I can't claim the record for being the first to finish it as I've skipped several bits here and there, but I'm a very fast reader and I've now read about sixty-seventy percent of the text. To those who are wrestling with whether or not to get the PDF, my personal opinion is that there is not much in there that requires a book format. Once you've read the information in it, you're probably not going to need to keep thumbing through it the way you would with the core book or Street Magic or an actual adventure module. And you could conceivably pass some little bits round to your players, but in that scenario, you might as well just print the relevant pages and you'd probably want to black out a couple of parts anyway. -K. |
