To throw my 2Â¥ in on the cover... it looks PS'd. I've seen CGI images on one of the online galleries, CGTalk maybe?, that match the body. It looks like someone changed the head and arms.

On top of that the background looks like more of a mish-mash of other art as well...

Yup. Makes me wonder if all my fond memories of the 80's are pure fabrication.

Not if your memories involved the cartoons. Voltron, Thundercats, and Transformers. And dare I say ... the snorks. ;)

Most fond memories of 80's cartoons are fabrications, too. I tried watching GI Joe again. It... hurt.

Had the same painful experience with Thundercats a few years ago. Now I prefer to just remember them fondly. Illusions and ignorance can be so nice some times.

I remember the first time I watched one of my TMNT cartoon tapes from when I was a kid...I couldn't even make it past the opening theme song.

I can only think of one or two cartoons that I would be willing to watch now, starting with the old Batman Animated Series; that was damn good in both story and execution.

The New Adventures of Mightymouse holds up quite well. When you go back and look at it with adult eyes it's even more disturbed than it seemed as a child.

But yeah, the Batman Animated Series was incredibly awesome. At this point I prefer their continuity to that of the comics they are derived from. So seemingly do the comic authors, as Harley and Renee Montoya have been back formed in as comic characters.

Gargoyles wasn't that disappointing, either - in fact, it was the closest thing to SR.

Then again, aren't most of these things you now mentioned more likely from the 90es?

Was't gargoyles into the 90's.

Smurfs was always good for a laugh. Story's good, it's that old animation that sorta sucks.

True, Batman and Gargoyles were 90s.

Of course, Saber Rider was a true 80s... completly lost in translation.

I dearly hope the Augmentation cover presented in Catalyst's sellsheet (PDF) is a mockup. It looks awful!

Ok, who do I sue to get new eyes after seeing... this... ?!

Well... I guess it's nice to have a prominent female character on a cover without insanely big boobs (but their proportion is somewhat strange...)... and the background is ok... her head is ok too... the two orks are kinda weird, with bizarre biomods to give that final look but whatever...

But the lower torso & legs part of the female character are just sooooo wrong. It's still a ugly cover overall, that's a shame.

You're kidding! The name's Augmentation!
Well, it'd have been worse if it was Arsenal's cover: I mean what's a book about big guns without big boobs?

Yeah, Gargoyles and Batman were good, but post-80's. TMNT and Thundercats are definitely...different than I remembered.
I don't dare watch the old He-Man and the Masters of the Universe (the one that's older than TMNT & Thundercats, not the relatively recent remake). I was pretty young at the time, but I distinctly remember that being the greatest television show ever created, and I don't want to ruin that by seeing it again.

Oh speaking of Thundercats, have anybody seen the fake live action thundercats trailer some fans put up on youtube? They've made live action he-man and now transformers. But... I hope to gawd they never decide to make a live action thundercats, though the furries would probably love it... And also the SURGE fans would love it too (to tie in to Shadowrun ;-))

Wow. Now I have to go watch an episode of Thundercats, just to get that image out of my head.
