Well when you own the place I guess gentrification at the barrel of an assault rifle or flamethrower can be fairly effective.

The enclave is Manhattan and not New York and a lot has changed since the quake of 2005 leveled the city and the corps rebuilt it from the ground up. |

Well technically it is 'cause didn't Manhatten sue the other boroughs to forcibly make them split from them whilst keeping the name? They ended up squabbling amongst themselves and getting stuck with the incredibly rubbish name like the Quad Counties or something from what I remember of Neo-Anarchists Guide to North America. :) |

A corporate enclave can have bad parts of town. But a major difference between a corporate enclave and a runner haven is the balance of power. Manhattan is an island owned by the corporations, literally. |

I really like "Manhattan by night", despite the faux hawk. Is it really all that different from the Huge Hair that dude with the uzi had on the cover of SR2? If it isn't painfully obvious people tend to see style of the future as a simple extension of the trends that are popular in their own time. The overall picture has a very cool noir feel to it that I really like. To me at least Shadowrun has always been Casablanca with cooler toys, magic and Nazi's that sell you toasters and PDA's instead of gold teeth.
I also really like the recruitment poster. His posture seems a bit off, almost as if his lower spine is a bit crooked but that's a minor nitpick. I'm not a huge fan of the line art style found in "Seat of Empire" and "Tradition Meets Technology" but I still think they're well done. "Trouble on the Horizon" and "Show Must Go On" I'm kinda meh towards. I agree with other posters that the troll looks too small in Show and Trouble just looks too comical for my taste with regards to Shadowrun. "The Fall" is neat but I think it would be better with context. I like the shading though the perspective seems a bit off. The Cover art is well done. It does a good job of showing a shady rooftop meet. |
