QUOTE (Moon-Hawk @ Nov 30 2007, 12:31 PM)
QUOTE (Kagetenshi @ Nov 30 2007, 12:23 PM)
The idea of "rule 34ing" something is paradoxical, except insofar as making something exist would force rule 34 to apply to it. Presumably hyzmarca is indicating that he has located or produced actual content demonstrating rule 34 with respect to the given item. It's a misleading phrase, but convenient.

Ahhh, the conversations of Dumpshock. :)

Meanwhile...trolls. Trolls, um, belong in SR. Yeah.

Kagetenshi is correct.

My use of it as a verb refers to loading the Rule 34 website (which I shall not link to for reasons that should be obvious) and then typing the name of the object into the search engine there. Gouging your own eyes out is optional, but recommended in some cases (particularly for Bambi).

Given certain DS conversations, I'd think that there are a disproportionately large number of trolls working in pornography, possibly due to the fact that they physical prowess, while useful, is less cost-efficient that what could be accomplished with a rigger and several drones.

But couldn't you say that about pornography, too?

The great thing about pornography is that there are so many little niches. Even if one were unable to make it in mainstream porn, there are always unusual markets just waiting for someone to exploit them. Drone porn and troll porn are completely different niches and cater to completely different sorts of viewers.

But a comlink does not care who packs it into a crate and a crate doesn't care who loads it into a truck and a truck can drive itself. On the other hand, people who pay good money to watch crates being packed and loaded do care. And such people do exist.

Edit: added a necessary not.
